I paid for flights to Europe and paid for the "change for any reason" associated with my flights. When I tried to change them, the customer service (which can only be reached by email chat, can't get a human) said I need to go directly to the airline to update the destination of my flight. The airline said that was not an option. It was Hopper who provided me the guarantee that I would be able to change my flight. Have not yet heard back from customer support with a resolution. Terrible experience so far.

Flights credit is not 100% as advertised.

Booked a delta tix on hopper. Advertised as "get 100% of ticket cost as airline credit if you cancel". I cancelled. Tried to book another ticket. My credit for $278 was worth $65 on a $322 advertised flight (cost on deltas site $322, cost on hopper was $309). They told me I would have to pay $258 to re-route my ticket due to re-routing costs and taxes. My advice…. Just book through the airline. The airlines gives you the actual credit not 25% of its value.

I need someone to talk to! I was charged for a flight and have no way of accessing the app. I have no information at all. I can only see the charge on my credit card! Ridiculous

The Hopper app provides definitely the worst experience. I tried booking a flight through the app and though the booking was unsuccessful, my card was charged with the amount. There's no way on the app to connect to customer service other than the useless FAQs.

Hopper is the best. Hopper CSR, Basil helped me to redeem my credit and book another flight that leaving in tomorrow morning. He stayed on the phone with me until I received my email confirmation for my new flight. He was patient and courteous.

Hopper the scammers

We from New York the 07/02/2022 we reserve a week before Airbnb 2 bedrooms apt for in Miami by the app they crooked they twice for 2 reservation me and my friend she cancel her hotel reservation last June and they took her money and I didn't learn so now I booked 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms apartment when came to resort I fund out its one bedroom tiny apartment we are 5 guest pls don't use this app they don't have no customer support no one to talk since u put your payment it's done they don't care u going to have issues u not satisfied no response even the resort's management they couldn't help because the money gone to this app hopper that why they symbol it rabbit took the money he run so now I have to buy 2 folding mattresses for my kids this app it's scam

Quick, helpful, great benefits to use

Hopper is incredibly helpful. The app provides the cheapest flight options and allows you to apply filters when looking, so you can see the cheapest direct flight. The hotels are affordable and tell you all things the hotel has to offer. Coupons pop up randomly, making it even more helpful and affordable. As a college kid who is traveling Europe, this app has been my savior

Horrible experience

I was billed double the price that was quoted for me with all these additional fees $30 for a cancellation and five dollars for a tip $30 etc. I've spent over an hour communicating with no written response you call the 800 number and nobody answers they refer you to a website which nobody answers I will never ever use this website again

Scam

They took my money and now I gotta fight to get it back, I cancelled 45 minutes after I realized I made a mistake when I was booking, they refuse to reverse my money the took, it's in the book that u can receive your money back if u cancel before 24 hours of booking the flight so why it takes so much to reverse it? Just beware of these people and there's no number to call just some one u don't know sending you messages by txt and they are rude and don't care.

Around Apr2022, Emailed them to use a credit I had from Jun10 to Jul11. They scheduled from Jun10 to Jun11. Cost me $96 plus some other fees to change it with American Airlines. I will never use Hopper again. How incompetent can you be that you can't read an email properly and schedule a flight when that is your actual job.

When I went to the app to check for the option for help, the flight isn't on the app because it was done over the phone. Horrible!

Use them to monitor flights, but do not purchase the flights with them. They have horrible customer service. It's been almost a month and I still haven't been able to contact them.

Waste of time

Haven't even taken our plane yet and we are so so exasperated with the service! We booked with Hopper because it sais we could have 2 cabin luggage and 1 personnel item. We should have listened to our suspicions but since it was this huge company we booked anyway because of the additional cabin luggage since there was no financial gain otherwise. Well after many many back and forth chatting (no other way to speak live with a real person!) they admitted their mistake. Fine. But they sais that they would reimburse us for the additional cabin luggage (about 100$) by carrot cash! Nope for us no credit. Ok, second option they would reimburse us ounce they have the receipt(of course fine) BUT on paypal, not fine! I don't have a paypal account and don't want one. We paid our plane tickets by credit card whats the problem with reimbursing us on the same credit card!?
We had also another problem but would take too long to go into that.
Anyway i would not book with Hopper again! Not cheaper that going directly with the airline company so why waste your precious time if you have a problem!

This app if crap! You book a room swipe to pay, they say no booking. Then you wont get charged on your card! Wrong they did, took my money waiting for a refund. Tried to maybe call or talk to a human that dont work. This app should focus on maybe updating the app every minute, so that if there is no room to book. People on here wont get charged for no reservation... i knew i should of just stayed with EXPEDIA. I would pay extra than go on this dumb website! Never again

BEWARE!-SCAM

I ordered a hotel room in Florida and hopper booked me a room in North Carolina. When I got to the hotel in Florida, they said they had no reservation for me so I immediately call hopper and told them something went wrong and that the reservation was in North Carolina, their response... too bad. I immediately called the hotel in North Carolina and they said it happens all the time with that App and that they would not charge Hopper or myself. As of this date, I have not received any refunds from Hopper! This App is such a SCAM!

Great company

It's an app that uses algorithms to bargain flight, accommodation and rentals down, like Expedia, kayak, skyskanner. I've gotten cheap flights, their customer service is fantastic. Will continue to use.
