We were supposed to get free with membership 24/7 emergency phone help valued at $75 and no one answered. We were using several phones to call different animal emergency hotlines. Finally found Animal Pet Poison Help for $65 for the incident and they were great. Don't bother with this company. They take forever to answer their phones for general information as well.
I got my new pet microchipped and the vet gave me this brochure with the tag. I went to the website and they wanted $20+ to register... WHAT? I don't think so...
Did a little research and found the chip can be register for FREE on 24PetWatch, where I have my other pet registered. This not only doesn't make me happy that my vet sent the brochure (Do they get a kickback?) but it's a such a waste of money. Do your homework before registering with this company.
Do not do business with this company. Very unprofessional company. The supervisor Amanda acted like she had an attitude with me. I should have the attitude. Where's my receipt for my annual fee I paid on 4 days ago? I disputed this with my bank and getting my money back as soon as possible. This company must be $#*!ing crazy. I haven't been able to access my pet profile in months!
I called to update pet profile information to switch an address. The woman put the address in wrong after I repeated it to her twice and she read it back. At the end of the call the woman tried to have me purchase pet ID tags which I do not need. As soon as I declined, she became nasty and hung up on me. When I emailed customer support about this issue, they did not address it and again let me know I can purchase tags off their website…
Our precious Jenny died in June 2021. I updated the website at that time, indicating she was no longer with us. The pain of losing her was brought back when I received notification that her membership with HomeAgain had been renewed in January 2022. I was able to speak with a representative who acknowledged Jenny's record did show her as deceased. Why then was her membership renewed? When you get your pet microchipped be sure to find out the name of the company overseeing the protection & check reviews. If HomeAgain has trouble with a simple matter like maintaining internal records, I am doubtful they would be of much help should a pet be lost.
DO NOT PAY FOR THIS SERVICE! THINK ABOUT IT.
Before buying, please ask yourself: what exact product or service is HOME AGAIN promising to provide you? A 1-800 phone number to call if your pet was run over by a car (to tell you where the nearest pet hospital is) and they also provide spam coupon emails to your email inbox.
Your pet's microchip will alwas be scanned if he ends up at a shelter. That will not change!
If the animal shelter / human society feels like calling you to tell you that your pet is there, they will. NOTHING will force them to contact you. Whether you PAY a monthly fee or NOT. The odds are the same: THEY WONT CALL YOU OR EMAIL YOU. It is up to the animal shelter to contact you, not HOME AGAIN.
I logged in to renew my dog's registration and they had someone else's credit card info attached to me. Lord knows where my credit card info was attached.
I do not recommend this service as they have taken out my renewal fees and an extra 19.99 on the same day and no one can tell me why. I have called twice and they still have not refunded my money.
Tried calling three days in a row with no one answering. On hold for 15 minutes each time. They are showing a different owner for my dog's microchip and there is no way to correct this without calling.
Auto-renewed despite my policy not being set for auto-renewal. They sent an email claiming that I'd have to renew to get some worthless "benefits" but charged me even though I didn't renew. Register your pets but don't give this organization any additional money. Calling them is a joy if you like long hold times.
I called Monday Aug 17th 2021 and asked them not to Renew my membership right now bc I'm under Financial hardship plus I didn't have auto Renew on and they told me that the pending charges would drop off plus I would receive an email and phone call... I'm Pissed off bc the only thing that I received this morning was an Email saying I'm Renew went thru after specifically telling them on the 17th not to and was told don't worry it won't go thru. I also told them that I would Renew it in a couple of months but because they're Greedy told the money anyway. They better refund my money or else I'm contacting my bank and get them for fraud because as I said earlier I didn't have auto Renewal on...

I am on hold for almost two hours to get my dog registered, the service agent is very rude and is not helpful at all. Run away from this business as fast as you can! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!
Heaven help us if your dog ever gets lost... this company sure will not help you to get them back.
Customer service is awful. I was asking a few questions about transfer, and a supervisor cannot answer any questions and just kept saying " I am not in the team" and when I asked if I can talk to a supervisor in the transfer team, she hang me up.
I submitted a lost pet report and received a voicemail advising me to update the report I submitted. Had the information I was requested to provide been mentioned when I first submitted the report, no followup would have been necessary. On top of that, the tone of the message I received was very rude and condescending.
Terrible company. Wrote wrong spelling of names on Registration missed digit on phone number. Terrible response by phone from Amanda supervisor. God forbid you need them if your pet is missing!
We lost our cat due to the negligence of our tenant letting the cat out. Our cat had a microchip from HomeAgain, that the no kill shelter we adopted him from had installed. When he was let out, we were frantic as we love this little guy like the family member he is. Talking to HomeAgain was like talking to a wall. A dispassionate uncaring, wall. I tried to explain that the cat had stomach issues and could never survive the two weeks in the wild that they said the "transfer" would take. Yeah, that's nice, two weeks, tough buddy. I assume the transfer was a transfer of ownership for the cat from the people who owned him 4 years ago. Miserable, dour, uncaring representative who should never work in customer service again. No effort to go above and beyond what-so-ever. We may never see the little boy pictured below again due to their "customer support'. They absolutely couldn't care less.
This company is terrible. Someone found my dog and had her scanned. Since I got her from someone else, I did not know she was chipped.
Anyway, the person who found her posted my dog's pic on line but said I could not have her until I could prove she was mine. I called HomeAgain twice and left frantic messages. HomeAgain NEVER called back!
I called them today and they had NO RECORD of my calls.
They do not provide the service they advertize!
Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc. has been inserting Home Again Microchips for 15 years. Here now is my complaint: Emails sent to Home Again are answered via an automated response. The email indicates if you need further assistance to call. That's a laugh! I have been trying to get Microchips transferred to new owners via emails showing Contact of Surrender and new Adoption Contracts showing new pet owners. Those emails are flying in cyberspace. I do not think anyone sees them. Then when I call and ask to speak to a supervisor, I'm asked to explain my concerns then THEY will add the supervisor on to the call. The supervisor explains to me that SHE is frustrated with my concerns. Well, I asked: Do you have a superior I could talk to? Nope. Didn't happen. At this point, it appears to me that Home Again is not interested in helping Adoption Organizations or pet owners. GOD forbid if a pet gets lost and data of new ownership has not been completed.
Since I started with this company it was one problem after another, I only registered my dog because the shelter put the chip and used them, at the end of the 3 free months I called to enroll, immediately they charge my account with a product that I did not order, had to call to reverse, then they use my dog wrong name, finally I renewed for a year and three weeks after they are sending me emails telling me to renew, I replied the email few times, no response from them, called a couple of times they left me on hold, finally today this woman answers very unprofessionally and she can't find my payment, three weeks after I paid they did not registered the payment, I cannot imagen what will happen if I need their service, OMG... this is not a good company at all!
I just noticed that Home Alone did automatic withdrawal from both my bank account and my brother's, we live in the same house and we have two dogs. I don't remember ever requesting autopay and neither does he. He was charged for microchip renewal for both dogs and so was I. It is impossible to get through to anyone, they don't return calls either. I went online last year and asked for new id cards, never got them. I don't know if there is any way to get the charges removed from one of our credit cards since they don't respond to you so I am going to contact my credit card company and see if there is any way I can be removed from auto pay with this company. Very poor customer service and not sure why we are paying $22 per year for each dog when this company does nothing. Apparently I'm in the same boat as quite a few others looking at the bad reviews. I never got a confirmation email receipt, I checked both my email addresses.
Answer: Scam. They have no service. The don't answer calls or have an interaction web site.

Answer: I didn't choose Homeagain. It was pushed by the Banfield veterinarian hospital.
