It was easy to use and great to hire a local company.

HomeAdvisor provided me with a list of contractors from which to choose with sufficient details of each.
Allowed for the making a decision of best selection to fulfill my needs.

A list of qualified contractors was provided. I chose Stalone and an appointment was supposedly made for the next day. The appointment was then cancelled that afternoon. When I called Stalone, they returned the call and stated they had never heard of me and no appointment had been made. Stalone graciously arranged an appointment for me at 7 AM the next morning.

I asked to be matched with a local pro for snow removal for my driveway and sidewalk. First, despite requesting quotes, no one ever contacted me. When someone from HomeAdvisor/Angi Customer Service finally contacted me, the customer service representative took some information and quoted me a price that was 10x what I've normally paid for the service! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was almost as if HomeAdvisor/Angi got the project confused with something else. My driveway is about 1700 square feet and my sidewalk is 15-20 feet long and I got a price of $393.00 per snow removal! When I told the customer rep that I would never pay 10x the typical cost of the service, she said, "Thank you for calling HomeAdvisor/Angi's list. You have a nice day sir." I know that companies are allowed to charge what they desire for service but, at some point, it becomes price gouging. This is certainly an example of such. The price of goods and services have increased, but not to 10x the cost of the service in a year's time. Wow. What an unpleasant experience!

I scheduled an appointment for repairs to my washer and dryer. An hour after the appointment, still no sign of the professional. I called the company and they couldn't tell me where the person was or if they would be showing up today. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told he was unavailable. The best they could offer me was a $10 compensation for the trouble, out of a bill that would have run about $500. Now I have to watch my credit card to make sure they don't charge me -- I told them to delete all my info but frankly I don't trust them. Look elsewhere!

Quality of leads are so terrible its sad really. Thumbtack rules this space, home advisor or ange whatever isnt even a close second. Many leads dont even know who i am yet they selected me? And 30 dollars or more for these trash leads is pure robbery.

Came the same day I called them. Found the problem and saved me from having to purchase a new appliance

More often than not Angie app has poor performance. Twice it would error or not give me a selection of pros. I'd cancel the action but 10s of pro call me anyhow. I prefer to do the research and select from a group of companies rather that blast to all which happens often with this site.

Easy to use service that we've utilized in the past.
