Home advisor was very helpful in finding a pro for my project.
I have used HomeAdvisor for a number of projects since joining them. They are a reputable company and to date I have had no difficulties with their recommendations. As a matter of fact, I would said that the people they recommend seem to be of a higher skill caliber than other agencies I use. They reach out to their customers to assist when needed or just to see how the process is going. I will definitely continue to use them for projects.

Within 10 minutes after contacting Angie's list, I had about 5 people calling me wanting business. Some were a lil pushy and sketchy. All gave similar estimates. 1 guy came to see and raised his estimate by almost $200! I told him bye. There was one business that seemed trustworthy and he stood by his estimate and did a fantastic job!
Best price in my area, excellent customer service - easy to make the appointment; very professional, competent, and efficient technician who explained each step in the process; used latest equipment to perform the work and left the fireplace & area cleaner than was found.

Had cracks in my house due to the foundation sinking on one side. Found a vendor through HomeAdvisor. The company was just what I needed. I was so impressed with HomeAdvisor that I used them for another project which also had a positive outcome.
The electrical work was on my house in Louisiana. I received super prompt responses from several electricians in south Louisiana.
I also received inquiries about my former house in Kansas City, MO. Former means I sold it. HomeAdvisor should remove it from my property listings.
Needed a one time cleaning before moving out of apartment and apartment was a mess. Was given a number of options for service in a courteous professional manner. Company I chose was excellent with Angi following up to make sure everything went well.
I had a granite countertop in the kitchen recently repaired, polished, and resealed. The granite countertop in the kitchen involved four areas approximately 10' x 2', 9' x 2', 7.5'x 2.5' and 5' x 2'. There were three very very minor gouaches, three very small cracks, those were repaired and patched with epoxy and stone color chips/paint. Then all areas were polished twice with a mechanical polisher and finally, all areas were sealed. The company that Angie recommended was very professional, polite, and did a fabulous job on time and as promised. The cost was, I thought slightly higher, but the workmanship and the final product are outstanding. We have built this home about 20 years ago, and have lived since then. I had granite countertop sealed twice in that time frame, but the repair was done this time and polishing and sealing of all areas. Home Advisor/Angie's recommendations were very good, and the stone repair company did a very good job.
I live in a small town 50 minutes out of San Antonio, TX. It often hard to find people willing to come out here even for work. I was provided with enough options for my project to pick who I wanted to use and get the job done.
I am leaving one star because no option for zero stars.
This is a scam for stupid people. Or for people who want to throw out their money.
1. Hardly anybody calls you. Ather than HomeAdvisor, requesting subscription
2. Those who call, believe you are s complete idiot, and give you prices that are at least 5 times higher. It is offensive.

The people at site jabber good at providing me with people able to do the job I asked for in a very timely manner. I received 5 responses.
We used Home Advisor to find a business to put up two gates in our back yard. The business (Rob's Fab) gave us a bid (which we accepted). After paying for both gates we discovered neither gate was working properly. We repeatedly tried to contact the gate installer, finally after several weeks he showed up, promised to return the following week and make the necessary repairs. He never returned. We contacted Home Advisor for help. They basically said it was our responsibility to find some one else to give a bid on the correcting the problem. It would seem like they could have provided some names - but they didn't. After getting a bid to repair the mistakes I turned that bid into Home Advisor. After several weeks Home Advisor told us there was nothing they could do, we would have to pay for the repairs.
I said their television ad said satisfaction guaranteed. I was told that we didn't use the proper app (there was nothing about that in the add) and tough luck. We believe HomeAdvisor has a responsibility to get the gates repaired. We are on a fixed income and can't afford to repay to have the job done properly.
I can't recommend Home Advisor to anyone. They vetted and recommended Rob's Fab but refuse any responsibility. DON'T USE THEM!
When my computer failed it was a major emergency for me. I contacted the first available suggestion from Angi's List. The repair was done quickly and at a decent price.

I have used Angi several times and only a couple times did I have extra expenses arise with contractors. I was not disappointed with work or quality by any vendor.
Had to have mold remediated and ceiling replaced. I hired all contractors through Angi and Home Advisor. I had no idea what a process mold remediation would entail. These hiring platforms made it all easy.
