When I first started using Angie's List (now Angi), I would say what I needed done and then be given the full list of providers in my area which I could review and then select who to hire. Now it seems, that Angi wants to make that decision for me and won't let me see all of the potential providers. I also did not appreciate the phone call from Angi pressing me on what I wanted to have done. I can take care of things myself if provided the information.

I was skeptical. I didn't want a bunch of calls by salesy contractors. I was concerned about the quality of the work and customer service options that we would get presented with. But, I was pleasantly surprised! We had been struggling to start our project - decision fatigue! - but Angi made it easy. All we had to do was say yes to the appointments and make a decision about who we wanted. We are very happy with the result!
Confusing, I received a call from someone saying they were from Angie's then he hung up after I told him what I needed. Then I was charged twice for service that was only provided by Carolina best cleaners. They charge me for service from some lady name Natalie Who had never been to my house. Right now I'm waiting on my Refund.
The price ranges vary wildly from one contractor to the next, do yourself a favor and get Several quotes (I'd say 5 or 6) before going with a particular company.
I use home advisor often and like it but last few times, the second I submit a request I get calls from contractors which is great but Jesus Christ, I get four calls a day at least from home advisor reps for two days after I submitted my request. If I need help, I'll call you.

Angi agents are very dishonest people. They say very good things about their services but actually, it turns out to be totally opposite. The agents will not give you the complete information. So this past week, I had called them to get the quote for deep cleaning and I kept on insisting them that, I have remodeled my house, so it needs deep cleaning and not regular cleaning and they gave me the quote for deep cleaning $200 for small single story house. The agent took all the details, gave me the quote and booked my appointment, but she said that, I had to give my credit card information and that they won't charge me, until the service is completed. Next day, when I went to get the work done, I just see 1 lady with basic supplies to clean. She said that she was there for regular cleaning as she was told by her company and not deep cleaning. I immediately called Angi's customer support and the lady was so rude and started telling me that, why I did not read the email. Well, I did looked at the email and it just said, interior cleaning, what they website also said. On that, I confronted her, that even the website says interior cleaning but, I specifically told the agent that I need deep cleaning and the agent agreed on it and this lady alone wont be able to do it and she is saying that she was here for regular cleaning. Then, the customer support agent, told me that Mam, I can cancel your service, but we will only refund you 50%. I got really furious and told her, that this is ripping off customers, without telling them, as the agent who booked me, did not give me that information. Had she told me about the 50%, I would have thought about giving my cc information, which I really did not wanted to give but because you cannot book their services, I had to give it. I would highly suggest, not to go with Angi, because they say something, but will do whatever they want to and then charge your credit card, no matter even if they are at fault, because this is how they make free money. So be extra careful, before giving your credit card information. Hopefully, this review will be helpful.

Having never used Angi before, we didn't know what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We placed our information on Sunday night, received a call on Monday morning and our three porch posts were replaced by that afternoon. The workers cleaned up any/all items. We are happy with the results.
Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
