Just typed in the need for service and was contacted
We contacted Home Advisors / Angi for help in finding a contractor for a new deck and roof. They provided one contractor to meet with us. I asked for additional contractors so I could get competitive pricing, and was never provided with a second contractor. The provided contractor came out and provided us a quote. I requested a modified quote and was told that they no longer wanted to work with us. In fact, they would not be able to provide me with any contractors and they would just refund my deposit. I have reached out to my project manager, Robby Joseph, a couple of times requesting a reason for why this contractor doesn't want to work for me, and he is suddenly non-responsive, when he's been Johnny on the spot reliable prior to this. I don't believe asking for a revised quote was unreasonable. I do this for my customers on a daily basis. I can't get a response as to why they don't want to work with us. We were just cut off from all communication. This is very unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. I would NOT recommend Home Advisors.

Be careful. Angi does not support consumers. Angi only supports the contractors that pay handsomely for leads. Why would Angi even want to be consumer friendly. They do not profit from consumers. The employees at Angi just told me they only background check for criminal activity. Angi has no idea if a contractor is skilled or a ripoff. The employees are good at one thing... transferring calls. This company should be audited by the attorney general in each state.
I received many calls and chose three. The three I chose were knowledgeable and knew what I needed. The quotes were very far apart and I selected one. Quality work.

I was hesitant to submit a request for help with my TV antenna update project, but I didn't know what company to call so gave it a try. I wasn't sure how soon I would hear from anyone, but I got an immediate response and was able to set up a service time for the next day.
I have had unsolicited calls from them repeatedly. A "broker" from them signed me up for membership, quoted a firm price for my job, scheduled it, and then tagged my credit card for $50 more. The person they scheduled has been texting me repeatedly and wants to come bid on the project. Huh? Guaranteed price? I've left at least 5 emails attempting to speak to a human, cancel my membership (within 24 hours of falling for it) and CANCEL MY PROJECT. Haven't heard from anyone, CC still tagged, and the guy keeps texting me. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN.
