Do not even think about do business with Angie List & Homeadvisor. Read the following statement carefully:
"Angie List & HomeAdvisor is the same company working under the very same predatory marketing and financial practices. Their deceptive, and unlawful operations are dangerous and detrimental for Small Business Owner and consumers in general. In addition, they have in place a fraudulent large-scale payment system arranged to overcharge customer in a monthly basis, for ghost services even after months of cancellation. Do not take my word see it by yourself on the testimonios and reviews from many helpless customers that have been misled, exploited, and unfairly treated by this HomeServices online marketplace. All the complaints have one single common denominator: Rip off.

From roofers to carpenters, to electricians, HomeAdvisor has been a tool to grow business for home improvement contractors.
The company charges contractor's money for leads to potential customers considering projects.
I cannot stretch enough that kind of misappropriation and thievery this company does. Please, report, take action and safeguard yourself from Homeadvisor & Angie's list.

Remove 2 trees and grind stumps. Trim 1 large 60 foot elm tree and 5 smaller 30 foot trees. Grind branches and leaves to mulch. Clean up lawn affected by work.

Had 2 vendors respond to my request. Was able to listen to what each had to offer me and make a choice.

I hired Art-Is-Tree to remove three huge trees, their stumps and roots from my front yard. The crew did a fabulous job! Bravo! The work team is made up of professional, ethical, hard working young men who understand the dance of team work. They worked very hard in extremely hot weather, were polite and communicative. Also, they were orderly, neat and cleaned up before leaving. I highly recommend Art-Is-Tree for your tree removal project!

After trying for several months trying to hire someone to clean weeds from my landscaping and spread mulch I called Angi's.
I found Larry's Landscape and Mowing. He had all good reviews and was certified by Angi's. I am 81 years old and have not been in this area long and I had no idea what landscapers charge. He looked over what I wanted and quoted a price of $6000 labor and material which was &1500 dollars would be supplied by me. Not knowing what other people charge I agreed. I thought this was very expensive and told him so. The work was very bad and not completed. He was to come back but has not.
I called another landscaping company and told him to give me an estimate if he were doing the work and he quoted $1000 to $1200. He said that I had been robbed

The scope of the work Gus is doing is far more then just painting cabinets. He is repairing damage and completing the work in a bath room as well as the kitchen (which a previous contractor made and then walked away from). In addition he built a new cabinet strong enough to hold a granite bar top. He is estimating he will be through in less then 3 weeks and at the speed he is working, I have every reason to believe him.
He is prompt, neat and remains in contact daily. I just wish I had hired him first.

John Driscoll is extremely professional. He always let me know exactly when he would come. He finished replacing the glass on my window within the same day as he promised and even showed me some extra tips to keep the window functioning better. John is nice, kind and friendly. He is certainly trustworthy and I will definitely hire him again if I have another window related issue in the future. I highly recommend Window MD for the professionalism, quality of work and the good price.
