If I could give a lower score than 1 I would. I never used Home Advisor or Angie. I do not appreciate my Google search being snagged up by these companies and spreading my phone number, email all over the internet!

You are unable to see reviews, all you get is their star rating and how many reviews they have. Home Advisor only shows you 5 good reviews and will not let you see all reviews. Bad reviews are hidden from customers wanting Home Advisor's services. Why have reviews?

I had Plumbing issues, that caused water Damage, that had dripped thru my Floor, into the Ceiling in basement Family Room. Water Mitigation and Clean up, had to cut a 4 x 4 hole in ceiling, to remove wet drywall and prevent Mold from growing. Patch Boys came, and Hole was patched, and repaired, and re-textured to match rest of ceiling. I will Use them Again in the Future!

Home advisor matched me with a good company that was able to execute the job efficiently and with good quality.

Operator helped me find the companies needed. She search multiple times to find companies that could help with my project.

Surprised to find out Angi charges for referrals even if contractor doesn't get job. My query led to three referrals. Easy money for Angi, not sure it's worth it for struggling small biz.

Top Choice Renovations did an excellent job rebuilding my deck. It required a new floor (2x6's), and after removing the floor boards, they found four beams (2x10's) that had to be replaced. They were very courteous and hard working, besides the excellent job on the deck, they finished with a good clean up. I would highly recommend them for any outside deck job.

Angie provided several reputable companies to work with. Competitive prices were obtained; quality and service were considered.

I hired R&A Remodeling to remove a built in entertainment center and replace it with a large TV mounted on the wall. I got R&A from Home Advisor and R&A did an outstanding job.

Don't know about home advisor, this company called back before I put the phone down and was here in 45 minutes for the estimate. I have called before for other projects ie roofing, siding, grading days of no response.

Got a great experienced contractor, did exactly what they said they would and completed it when they said they would. Flawless transaction.

Work is superior and very happy with the results. They showed up when they said they would and kept me abreast of the progress.

I like using Home advisor because they get me the best pros for the many jobs /project and at a good cost user for years thanks.

Contacted HomeAdvisor for a Ceiling repair/replacement, was called immediately and started getting referrals the same day. I called the contractor on Sunday that had the best/most reviews and he called me right back to schedule an appt -booked the job right away

Went on line looking for a company who tints residential windows. When the rep from Angi called me I had decided not to tint my windows. He asked if he could help with anything else and I told him I was possibly needing some landscaping done. He referred two companies and scheduled each of them to contact me and give me a bid. I hired one of them and they completed the landscaping that I wanted done.

Searching for locksmith. For multiple locks.
Agape was recommended by Home Advisor and they were fantastic. Home Advisor supplied multiple contractors to help make the decision.
