I contacted home advisor hoping to interview possible handyman for different future projects. I was given a quote on project, and told I would not be charged until I had a job done. I interview a contractor and was not satisfied that he had the experience I needed or he job. I was charged over $800.00 which caused a overdrafts in my bank. I Called homeadvisors and was told that they would call me back within 24 hrs. I the website states you will not be charged until the job was completed. I had no work done at my home, and didn't schedule any jobs to be done in the future. I am furious with the customer service and the Scam ways they can take your money even thou they didn't rendere any services. I will not recommend Anyone to Home Advisors. I wish I had read these reviews before I contacted them, because they have been sued by both contractors and customers. If you don't mind strangers coming to you home without license or bonded Home advisors is your company. I feel very uncomfortable with the people they schedule me with. I would not hire a person without license to do electrical work in my home. I would not hire a contractor to replace a shower with glass blocks if the had no experience or skill with glass block walls. Yet I was charged to find out that they were not qualified to do the job.

Excellent customer service. Received enough responses so that I had a good idea of the cost of my project and how quickly it can be done.
I have never used this service. However, it was the most efficient and easy process. I will use this service for anything else that I need done!
After applied and requested some professional timbers and pronto the two men came forward and discussed the kind of work that need to be done. They gave me an estimated offer and I gave them a go ahead. That was on a right time and place so that was very nice.

Do not use this company you can generate your own natural growth through face to face networking. Use the money you spend on home advisor ok business cards and flyers. The leads are not properly better and are unconsciously being vaccumed into a sales funnel. Once the client is signed up they will gets a multitude of calls from several different contractors. Who are all in a dog fight to provide the lowest bid or highest perceived value. This multiplies the natural competiveness of capitalism. This dynamic created by homeadvisor cannot be seen in any other industry. Please educate yourself on the several class action lawsuits taken out against homeadvisor.

From the moment that the furnace was found to be unrepairable until the signing of the installation/purchase contract, HomeAdvisor provided excellent companies to quote and install the new furnace.

Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
