They don't put you in contact with a teadesperson, they just give you a list of people you can find with a Google search. The people they suggested weren't even in my area! Just a waste of time, again just use your favorite search engine and you won't get spammed by home advisor.
Recommended service was just what I needed. Was new to town, and didn't know anyone. Old Pro Lawn Service was a perfect recommendation. Glad HomeAdvisor recommended them.
This was my first experience using Home Advisor. I made a booking through the app with a vendor that was recommended, the work was done, I paid through the app, all was good. Then a second vendor I didn't know and had never spoken to showed up at my house to do the work that I had already had completed. I was charged for this, even though I had ZERO indication through emails, the app, or otherwise that I had booked this person. Absolutely no confirmation or evidence that this booking was made on my end. I disputed the booking with them and they just kept repeating to me that the booking was confirmed on their end. I only got a refund after hours on the phone escalating the issue. And at the end of it, I didn't get the sense that they would treat subsequent customers better if this happens again. From what I've read, I've seen a couple other reviews that sound like this is not a one-time issue.
Easy to use. Will use again for other projects. The company responded very quickly and got the job done for me. Went thru home advisor through thumbtack app.
They had major issues finding my septic tank. Risers has not been placed originally. Jeff and Steve worked 4 hours to locate my pipe and dig a 6 ft trench to find the septic tank. Digging thru rock, concrete and bricks. And at no extra charge. Thank you so much for the great service.

Experience was good, all vendors gave me a price but, most important was the reviews by other along with the price of the job. All very important.
I was looking for a dumpster and in addition, I got three contacts for junk removal. At first, it was a little disconcerting - to start getting texts and calls but I decided to go with it - and this service was nice and not pushy at all. They understood that I needed pick up quickly but that I couldn't provide a photo until my contractor was done with this phase of the work.
I explained my project and was sent 2 company names... both called right away.
