I was starting the process of looking to build a dream home with a damaged foundation. Home Advisor has been fantastic! Not only did I get a great structural engineer (Richard Motts) but also all kinds of feedback and tips. Home Advisor called to see if I needed anything and took all my information for all the things I might need along the way. When you are starting a project you have no idea where to start, Home Advisor is super helpful!
I'll start right off the bat. My joint business bank account is missing a grand total of $1,287 all due to "client leads". They snuck this out of my account every Friday in random increments (one week was $347, another few were $16) and when I asked for a refund after canceling my account, they said there's no way for a refund. My child went hungry because of this. I will never forgive this company. I never even got to actually use the clients I "got"- they always canceled or never called back! This company is a giant scam. Don't trust them or invest your money with them. Don't make my mistake. I'm lucky to have a family that can provide for me until I sell my business to make up for the loss because of this company.

Called Home Advisor, explained what I was looking for... I received numerous contact numbers to call and choose. Home Advisor Rep. Called to follow up on the progress of the project. Very professional.
The last couple of times that I spoke to a representative, they were both difficult to understand, didn't seem to have any idea about the membership and when I repeatedly said I did NOT want a phone call from the contractor, but an email, I still received phone calls. When I initially signed up with Home Advisor, it was incredible. I was even told I needed to do everything online, which wasn't the case a few months ago.
I used this service to set up five (5) seperate appointments and all five never should up for the service.
Very polite young man who came save day to give me an estimate and list of materials needed. When I had the required materials, I let him know and he came the next day and repaired both projects in less than two hours. The work was done very well.

Well they got a class action lawsuit when it was called Angi`s list and obviously the same problems exists with a change of name. Two times I used themponce to mow the home on a property in another state we were moving to and it was not done but billed. The neighbor took maintenance of the lawn under his wing thankfully. They refunded money on that one Today we took a day off to allow a plumber to pull CSST flexble tubing infor a propane line and he did not show but we were billed yet again and this time they refuse to refund the monies, you have to give a charge card before work is assigned. Charged then refunded but today no show and billed. I wasted a vacation day waiting for someone who did not show. Happen to be on a golf course and work was being done on the sand trap across from the home. The workers said two people came to the home all day both were USPS, I would think long and hard before using this firm.
