Searching for a contractor to do some shrub removal when I contacted Home Advisor. Once the contractor came for a free estimate, I was able to have him give estimates on several yard projects (cactus removal, planting area removal, shrub removal with replanting of new shrubs, removal of front porch posts and railings-replaced with new posts). Once the esitmate was given, I was able to have all projects done by one contractor and completed timely within my timeframe. Job was completed perfectly (all mini jobs), timely and professionally, and reasonably priced.

There is not enough words available to express my appreciation for Bruce Glisson and Southern Comfort. He was able to do what no one else could or would. I was told more than once that my heating/air handler could not be repaired. I was denied my claim from my home warranty by someone they sent out and said it was shot; After just a few minutes of making a request on angi, Bruce called me. He had no problem working with my schedule and when he came out. He informed me he could fix my problem. Despite what some many others had stated. He diagnosed my issues, did research and came over the weekend and FIXED IT! He even sent follow up texts to make sure everything was working properly and me and my kid were cool. In all my 20 years of dealings with real estate and rental properties, I have never seen a company more reliable, honest and affordable. As a single parent facing the cost of a full replacement I am so grateful for Brue Glisson/Southern Comfort for his expertise and for going the extra mile.

I hired HomeAdvisor powered by Angi to paint my bathroom, front door and two mirrors. The "professional" was nearly an hour late. He didn't wear protective shoe covers or masks and brought his brother to help. They ruined my bathroom ceiling by putting regular tape on it instead of painter's tape for the cutline. They were only to paint the walls, now the entire ceiling must be painted because of the damage to the ceiling. When the removed the tape, the drywall was removed too. The ceiling isn't textured but flat so that has to be repaired. The stood on my toilet and quartz countertop to paint the ceiling.
They spilled paint on every surface including the crystal doorknob, towelbar, robe hook. Porcelain tile, the step ladder that I let them use because they didn't have a ladder. They even spilt paint up and down the hallway. They tracked in and out if the house letting the paint drip from the brush onto the carpet. The painted the front and two mirrors that were to go in the bathrooms. All looked like children had painted them! They didn't prep pr prome but just globbed layer after layer onto wet paint. There were runs and smears on tacky paint. They painted on the brass handles and eye hole. The mirrors painted are the same and they blamed me for hiring them through HomeAdvisor! They told me that HomeAdvisor doesn't pay them enough to buy proper tools. I told them if they don't like the company, why take the job?! They left without cleaning up and drove away. I reported the incident. A person from claims contacted me via email about sending someone else. I told him that I was free on Tuesday and no one came. I can't reach him or anyone else. I filed a claim but HomeAdvisor powered by Angi and now the Corporate company is called Handyman will not help. They saw the pictures of all of the damages but all they inquired do I own the home. I've tried getting estimates but most companies won't come out for small jobs.
