The company exhibits a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in customer satisfaction when it comes to specific contractors and service providers, who are often praised for professionalism and quality work. However, significant concerns arise regarding the lead generation service, with numerous customers expressing frustration over poor-quality leads, lack of refunds for invalid contacts, and overwhelming solicitations. Many reviews indicate a decline in service quality following the merger with Angie's List, leading to a perception of the company as unreliable. Overall, while individual service experiences can be positive, systemic issues with lead handling and customer support remain prevalent.

Renee (Top to Bottom) was simply amazing! From our first phone conversation I knew he was special. He didn't oversell or talk over me. He listened. He continued to listen to all of my concerns throughout the whole project. He went above and beyond every step of the way. Finding solutions to all challenges that came with the project and there were several. He rolled with each one and offered his expert opinion with other alternatives and let me decide. He had an amazing positive attitude and work ethic. It is so hard to find this caliber of craftsmanship and attention to detail in the workforce these days. He is a jewel! He never tried to take shortcuts. He doesn't overcharge or take advantage in any way. In fact, I now that he got extra supplies that he could have and should have charged me for and didn't. I can't possibly add as many positive adjectives as I feel for Renee and the job he completed for us. I am so thankful and appreciative of him. I strongly recommend! Job completed: vinyl laminate flooring in an old home with uneven, damaged floors. When finished the floor was seamless throughout the house with no transitions needed between rooms. I couldn't be happier.
Provided me with several contractors who contacted me promptly to discuss my project.
Workmen we're good and professional. Followed up and answered questions when asked.
I had a very pleasant experience with the contractor. I am grateful for this service and will use it again in the future.
I thought I was reaching out to a private business directly, but it turned out just fine using this service. Now that I know what it is, I will use it again.
Great place for the price and quality I received. I will recommend them to anyone wanting good prices and quality work.
Dave Graham is the owner of. Sungram specialties and the did some landscaping and sprinkler work for our mulch beds in our backyard. Dave selected plants that would be easier to take care of and look nice. He laid out a good looking pattern. He also got 2 trees for our backyard a firewood maple and Ginko Biloba tree. The crew did the Job in 1 day.
He stays very busy so a couple times we expected him he didn't make it. He always called and communicated or would answer his personal cell phone to talk with us. We have been very happy this far and he is planning on witerizing our Sprinkler System in a couple weeks.
Thanks for doing a great job and we know if there is a problem Dave will stand behind his work. The total was a about $3,300 for trees about 39-40 plants and making sure all sprinkler systems were working.
We would use Dave and his crew again.
Excellent service, highly recommend. Great job. I will use your services again
Did not use it, read good reviews about it, will contact them for any future project
Everything went will. The staff were friendly and experienced and it showed in the end result.
I requested the repair service and I got a quick response. On the same day an estimator came to my home to inquire about my problem. It took some time to locate the problem but the roof tech located it and provided a repair estimate. I agreed with the repair cost and this morning the roof repairs were accomplished. The repairman provided me pictures of before and after repairs were accomplished. I am very satisfied with a job well done and more satisfied when it rains without a roof water leak. Special thanks to Thomas Gonzales!
Great roofing company and workers were wonderful. They were very efficient and pleasant.
I had a positive experience with home advisor there were lots of contractor to consider and reading all the comments was also very helpful.
Have hand nothing but bad experience with this company. I used one of there vented contractor for concrete work and it was horrible. And only help was to use their arbitration. This contractor is still on here so be careful. I'm sure there are other start up contractors. I would not recommend Angie or home advisor. Home advisor as they only seem to care if they get there money even if you get screwed. Just do your homework on any contractor, as any one can put pictures on a site and say that a company can do anything. Thanks to southern Hills Concrete LLC for screwing me.
Grateful for lead from Angi but not totally satisfied with the interface. Five project contacts requested but only one ever responded. I was fortunate because the company was great but the bid process left me cold without options. Subsequently got Angi emails after the fact soliciting a flat rate repair process but no additional program information was offered as to total costs or info on repair source, and subsequent confusion why Angi was competing with companies on the list. Tried to click on Angi website help link but it was no longer in service. Got my project done but feel it was by luck and left me with low confidence in the Angi process.
They really didn't do much. I put in my request I got two responses. One great one not great at all. There was no follow-up from Home Advisor - No personal interaction. Not impressed
This time I was looking for guttering. My job wasn't real big and I had trouble finding someone on HomeAdvisor. About five days later I got a call from an employee of HA who asked how it was going and offered some help. I hate these calls and have no patience. For some reason I talked to the guy and he started to sound helpful. We talked awhile and I explained my frustration and the issue with the small size job not appealing to contractors. He offered to search in my area for other contractors and soon sent me three contact names and info. I had two guys come out and they were both competent and communicated well. I made my decision and am so pleased overall. Without the direct call from the Home Advisor support person I'd still be floundering.
I requested a quote on their site when looking to mount my tv. Homeadvisor made me enter my phone and email to even get an online quote. I decided not to go with them based on price but since then, I've gotten around half a dozen calls from them over the last couple weeks even after I told them not to call me anymore. I will never use this service and I recommend against ever giving them a real phone number.
First time user website was easy to use found the pros that I needed an appointment rescheduled
Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
Answer: I don't know about the house cleaners but, I do not trust the company based on my own recent experience.
Answer: You don't know you have to call home advisor and wait on the phone for an hr until they pick up
