I have been bidding through Hibid for a few years now with a company out of Saint John called Golden Beacon. I have to say that I have never had an issue with either the platform, the program or the auction house I deal with. 5 stars all around. I highly recommend biding through Hibid and also props to Golden Beacon. Kevin and the staff are very easy to deal with and great personalities. Give it a try!
Bought 3 items and pretty much paid what was in my budget for these items. Pick up was extremely easy.

My experience was good However, I never bid on an auction from this last company and it just seemed a bit odd that everything i was bidding on I had someone else bid once just to make me go higher and never bid again after that initial bid.

Still says "may have won". My status has not changed on the orders that I bid on. Its been several weeks now.

Don't tell your bidding company before bidding close what is the highest bid placed. Their own account break the bid or take it to person highest

We located an online auction near us and registered to bid, there was a lot of nice items and a few pallets (which we are used to dealing with), we decided to bid on several items and pallets. The stuff ended up being junk. Just beware of what you are bidding on sight unseen.

I bid on an acoustic guitar that was listed with no reserve. I won the auction and was shown as the "winner" No contact from the vendor, emailed them thru the appafter a couple of days asking about shipping costs etc. No response. After a week emailed again, vendor advised me the reserve was not met. I looked at "Terms and Conditions" no mention about this situation. I contaced them again, asking if I had missed something. They advised me the consigner added a reserve the last day and maybe it had not been displayed, maybe "slow to load". They felt uncomfortable forcing a sale. Poor business, poor communication, makes it very unlikely to deal with them in the future.

I've been using online auctions for a while now, unfortunately, after completing a few auctions with this site, HiBid is officially my least favorite auction site. I probably will not be using it again due to the confusing fees that vary from merchant to merchant, combined with the lack of transparency around final bids and the slow turnover from winning bid to invoice and pickup. Just not my favorite site, maybe it's just me, but there are a lot of other sites out there that function much more smoothly than this

First there is no app. Second your emails lag considerably which doesnt work for an acution. Your descriptions of items are terrible. The pictures are a five at best. And now the auction is over and i am still lost as how to pick up my item. Whoever thought instructions should be listed in item tabs or boxes is way off base. I have been communicating with several people in the warm sorings auction and all are having the same problem.

Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
