The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

I've never had a problem with any of the vinders on HiBid. All ways fun! Know your limit and go from there. I've gotten some great deals. Happy Bidding.
All was fine on the first couple of bids, but then the last two that I really wanted it wouldn't work. It popped up please answer a survey. Was really disappointed as I would have bid more on the two pieces we wanted than what was actually bid.
The bids went real fast. It kept freezing up on me which it might be my network I've used hibid
I bid on pressure gauges, dont know why, I love them. I was outbid on all but 1, which I am so excited to pickup tomorrow. It was nice to have an auction where I don't have to have my items shipped.
I can't rely on the app during live events. To many hiccups have lost items at last minute. Web page is much more reliable.
I like the ability to bid on things. I do not like the fact I do not receive an invoice of items I did win
I purchased a large baseball collection that Included books of pages, all full of old baseball cards, after further Inspection, It seems as If the books were picked through and cards that were supposed to be In a lot of those pages, had been recently removed. The longer old cards are In the protective pages, they adhere to the plastic to where you have to use your fingers to carefully take the cards out.
Once again, It seems I was duped.
I think I will think twice when purchasing any auctions.
My last bad experience with this same company was when a priceless brooch I had purchased had got damaged due to carelessness.
I made bids on 2 lots. The seller charged my card immediately. Fine. But they are sitting in "You may have won this auction " status.
The auctions terms and conditions say nothing ships till an email is responded to, no email sent to me.
So here I sit out 200+$ and nothing to show for it. Auction closed 10/5 charged 10/5
We apologize for the delayed response, Bryan, and understand your frustration. It seems like there may be an issue with communication between you and the seller, and this is understandably concerning. We recommend reaching out directly to the auctioneer to clarify the status of your items and to request the necessary shipping or payment information. If you’re unable to get a response, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll assist in facilitating communication with the auctioneer. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope this issue is resolved promptly.
Have bought on HiBid and have never had a problem. Great response from auction companies when I have had a question. Smooth sales experience.
The bidding process is paced at a speed to enable you to increase your bid. Unlike a live auction where bidding goes so fast you can't keep up sometimes.
The layout is okay but the core issues are the seller. They don't provide much details and when you reach out to them after the sale is completed it's difficult to get into direct contact with anyone on the seller side.
We apologize for the delayed response, Ronnell, and understand your frustration. It's important for auctioneers to provide detailed descriptions and maintain clear communication, especially after the sale is completed. If you are having trouble reaching the seller, we recommend following up directly through the contact information provided in the auction. If you continue to have difficulty, feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can assist in facilitating communication with the auctioneer. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are more positive!
Quality lots to bid on, timely feedback on questions. Pickup was smooth.
My recent experiences on Hibid have been outstanding. Most auctioneers care about providing a quality experience. It is crucial to ask the auctioneer questions about the items you wish to bid on to ensure the items are complete or functioning as you expect. Some auctioneers post stock pictures that are NOT the actual item you are bidding on.
Thank you for your feedback, James. We’re glad to hear your experiences with HiBid have been mostly positive. You’re absolutely right that it’s crucial to ask the auctioneer questions about the items you are bidding on to ensure their condition and functionality. While HiBid does act as an auction platform, we understand the importance of holding auctioneers accountable for providing accurate listings and descriptions. We will share your feedback with the team, and we encourage you to contact the auctioneer directly if you have concerns about an item. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your input, and we hope your future experiences are even better!
Very friendly and easy to search, bid, and receive bid updates. Payments are simple, and shipping is no problem. Great experience(s).
I'm not a computer wizard and I wasn't sure how it would go for me. I was surprised how smooth it went. The only thing I wasn't sure on was when the bidding was done it texted that you may have won. When it texted that I wasn't sure that I did win the bidding
The last auction sent me an invoice that I downloaded but it doesn't have a link to pay. So I guess I will pay in person. Also contacted them for date and pick up time and got a voice mail instead of online scheduling option.
We apologize for the delayed response, Paul, and understand your frustration. It sounds like there was an issue with the invoice not including a payment link, and the lack of an online scheduling option for pickup. We recommend reaching out directly to the auctioneer to clarify how to make payment and schedule pickup. If you continue to have difficulty, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can assist in facilitating communication with the auctioneer. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are smoother!
I have constant issues with the app crashing or not keeping up in real time. Specifically when auctions are live and in the middle of end bidding. So the moment i need it responding the best, its responding the worst which has caused me to lose auctions. I had considerably less issues with the previous version of the mobile app. There are less issues with bidding via website but its less stream lined and removes the whole convenience of the mobile app.
We apologize for the delayed response, Josh, and appreciate you sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be when the app isn’t performing as expected, especially during live auctions. If you continue experiencing issues with the app, we recommend using the mobile web browser version of HiBid, as it tends to offer a smoother experience than the app. If the issues persist, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can assist with troubleshooting or further support. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are better!
As a frequent and long-time user of your platform, utilizing it weekly for the past 3-4 years, I appreciate the expansive access it provides to auctions across the country. The breadth of items and auction houses available is truly valuable, and I've often encountered exceptional auctioneers who are honest and easy to work with.
However, I must also address some critical concerns that have become recurring issues during my experience. Transparency is paramount in any auction transaction, and unfortunately, not all auctioneers on your platform adhere to this principle. I've encountered situations where additional, undisclosed fees are introduced after the fact, often justified with vague or convoluted explanations. This lack of upfront clarity significantly erodes trust.
Additionally, there are instances where shipping practices fall short. When shipping is mishandled, some auctioneers show little to no accountability, leaving buyers to absorb the inconvenience and cost. Moreover, the inconsistency in fee structures can be frustrating—particularly when high fees are imposed without corresponding benefits or clear justification.
I strongly recommend that HiBid integrates a robust, user-based review system for auctioneers. This would provide users with the ability to make informed decisions and help maintain a higher standard of professionalism among auction houses on your platform. A more explicit emphasis on clear terms and conditions would also foster trust and long-term success for all parties involved.
I hope these points are taken into consideration, as HiBid remains a valuable resource for many of us in the auction community. Addressing these concerns would undoubtedly improve the experience for users like myself who have been loyal
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

Apologies for the confusion, Ellen. HiBid doesn't send invoices directly; the auctioneer or seller is responsible for providing the invoice once the auction has concluded. If you have not received your invoice yet, we recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for assistance. If you need any further help or have additional questions, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll be happy to assist. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are smoother!
