The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

This was one of the worst experiences of my 80 years of my life. Your action site is hard to use. It will not bother me again because I will not use it again.
There are so many different auction companies some are reputable some are not if you register to bid with a particular auction they can give you a negative review which you cannot see nor have you ever deserved it will cause you to not be able to bid on any other auction guilty until proven innocent and no one at hi bid will help you. Some auction companies are very slow to respond, but HiBid never gets involved. If you call the actual Auction Company directly, they will tell you that the parent company does little to help them either.
Thank you for sharing your experience with HiBid. We understand that receiving a negative review can be frustrating, especially if you feel it was unwarranted. HiBid serves as a platform connecting bidders with independent auction companies, each with its own policies and review practices. While HiBid facilitates the bidding process, the review systems are managed individually by each auction house, and HiBid does not intervene in specific feedback given by independent auction companies.
However, we value transparency and believe all users should have a fair opportunity to participate in auctions. If you feel a negative review was issued in error, we encourage you to contact the auction house directly for clarification, as they can provide the context and possibly resolve any misunderstandings. For ongoing issues or if you have additional concerns, please reach out to HiBid customer support so we can better address your experience and provide any guidance or support within our capacity.
I was shown to have the closing bid. It said closed with my bid. Then I checked my email and I was outbid after the bid closed. Bidders are not supposed to be able to sniper on HiBid.
Thank you for your feedback, and we understand how frustrating this experience must have been. HiBid does not allow snipe bidding, so what likely occurred is that an absentee bid, placed prior to the auction's close, was processed as part of the auctioneer’s setup. It's essential to review each auction’s details and terms and conditions, as some may include a live-auction component with absentee bids. This helps clarify how bids are processed and ensures a smoother experience. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out!
Won an auction for a Signed Funko Pop for Collectoholics on HiBid & besides the invoice to pay, I didn't receive tracking of any other information from the seller for almost a week, even after emailing them twice. So I started getting worried and did some research on Collectoholics & I came across 100s of reviews from people say they received fake autographed memorabilia and some never received anything at all. So I went to file a claim with eBay to get a refund finally after 3 days Collectoholics contacted ebay and gave tracking information, still without contacting me back. For another few days, the tracking info showed that just a label had been created & that the postal service was still waiting on the package to be dropped off. 5 days later I received the package and when I opened it the certificate of authenticity was from a company called Real Authentic, which is not the reputable company Autograph COA that was stated in the post when I place my bid. Numerous sites and forums state that Real Authentic is a scam company known for authenticating fake autograph & for everyone to stay away from anything authenticates by them. It's pretty bad that HiBid allows a company with so many bad reviews to keep selling on there site
Thank you for sharing your experience and we understand your frustration, Matthew. We’ve sent a private message to assist you further and ensure this is looked into thoroughly. Thank you for your patience!
I received an item from Jager Holdings LLC dba Jager Auction and it was clearly a fake brand. After selling so many antiques, I would think they can tell real quality from bad quality. They marked it as unverified but I would think their expertise could tell how it feels. It weighs about an ounce, painted on screws, and no markings on the glasses. All other carrier glasses that have been sold by them had clear markings and clear pictures including the serial numbers. It feels as though they left out the nosepiece which would let bidders know it was fake. I am out of 300 dollars because we were misled by the description. For the record, I have had no other issues with my purchases with other sellers.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that the item you received did not meet your expectations and understand how disappointing it can be when the quality of a purchase is not as anticipated.
At HiBid, sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, and we encourage them to use clear descriptions and photographs, especially for higher-value items. While Jager Holdings LLC marked the item as "unverified," we understand that buyers rely on sellers’ expertise to accurately represent items, particularly when purchasing antiques and collectible goods. We’ll review your feedback with Jager Holdings LLC to ensure better clarity and transparency in their listings.
For further assistance, we encourage you to reach out directly to Jager Holdings LLC regarding a possible resolution. Additionally, if you have ongoing concerns, please contact HiBid support so we can guide you through possible next steps.
Thank you again for your feedback and for trusting HiBid for your purchasing needs. We’re committed to continually improving the buyer experience and appreciate the opportunity to address these concerns.
The auction appeared to have a number of nice coins, several of which I was interested in. Bidding appeared to be quite light and not many bids seemed to be submitted, and very few seemed to clear the undisclosed reserve. I submitted several bids which apparently did not match the reserve, although my bids were market "may have won" for several days. I obviously did not win any bids.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, James. Some auctioneers choose not to disclose reserve prices, which can sometimes lead to a "may have won" status as they assess the reserve or await consigner approval. For clarity on the outcome or reserve specifics, we highly encourage reaching out to the auctioneer directly. They’ll be able to provide more insight on the bidding process. We appreciate your understanding and hope to see you in future auctions!
Website was glitchy during the auction and wasn't able to see won items. This resulted in bidding on more items then wanted. After the auction I was billed for more items than expected. I called a few time till I got through to someone and was told there's nothing they will do to fix the issue. I will be closing my account with them.
We appreciate your feedback, John, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Technical issues can be frustrating, especially during a live auction, and we understand your concerns about unexpected charges. We’ve sent you a private message to collect additional details, so we can better investigate this situation. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist.

This auction software always crashes in the closing minutes of an auction. It has happened to me every time I've bid with them. Also I am used to other auction sites letting you know if you've been outbid. This one doesnt
Thank you for your feedback Andrew! We're sorry to hear about your experience with the auction software and understand your frustration. We have reached out to you privately for more details to investigate further.

I had a smooth transactions and I encountered personable people even though they were busy.
We appreciate your feedback Kim! We're glad to hear the transaction went smoothly and that the auctioneer's team made a positive impression. Happy bidding!
Easy way to see items one may find desirable. Easy bidding system. I can put my maximum bid in and the system will up my bids incrementally. There are times when I am the highest bidder and still have not reached my maximum bid.
Appreciate your review, Terry! It’s fantastic to know the incremental bidding and browsing features are making your experience smooth and enjoyable. Happy bidding!
I hit the ask the auctioneer button and asked a question, it was a day or two before the auction. I got no response back. Kind of pointless to have a button for questions if no one is going to answer. Most auctions I see the auction company doesn't tell you if the item is operational and rarely ever list vital information, such as dimensions of the item listed. I miss in person auctions.
Thank you for your feedback, Ray. We apologize for the frustration with the communication experience. While we encourage auctioneers to respond to bidder inquiries, it sounds like your question went unanswered. If you encounter this again, please feel free to reach out to our support team at (844) 775-4774—we’re here to help ensure a smooth experience. We'll also continue working with auctioneers to include more detailed item descriptions. We understand how important it is to get reliable info, especially when it comes to item dimensions and functionality. Thanks for letting us know, and we’re here to support you however we can!
Bidding is always simple and I always seem to find more than I was looking for.
Thanks so much, Harry! It’s wonderful to hear bidding has been a breeze for you, and that you’re finding some hidden treasures along the way!
At times, we have found it impossible to increase our bid for an item, causing us to loose the item. For instance, the last auction. Even though there was time left for increasing the bid, the system would not let this happen. Increased bid was refused. Not good for anyone.
Thank you for your feedback, Ray! We’re sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with placing an increased bid. We’d like to gather more information to troubleshoot this issue, so we've sent you a message. Your experience matters to us, and we want to ensure you can bid smoothly in the future. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!
Thanks, David! We’re happy to hear everything went smoothly. Timing is everything, and we’re looking forward to having you back for the full experience next time!
I was bidding on a piece that I really wanted. It was the reason I was in this auction. All of a sudden the site wouldn't recognize my bid. I went out of the site and back in twice to no avail. The third time, by the time I got back in, it was too late. Bidding had closed.
Thank you for your review, Jill! We're so glad you joined the auction, but we're sorry to hear about the issue you experienced. We’ve sent a private message to gather a few more details and help troubleshoot. Looking forward to ensuring smoother bidding for you next time!
My over-all auction experience was positive, other than losing an item, there seemed to be an auction house that had submitted the same auction on another website which made things a little confusing at the close. But, I'm guessing that's done frequently, I'm not too saavy on the on-line auction ways, but this is a learning experience and I will do my due-diligence in the future! Thanks for the positive experience!
Thank you for your positive feedback Jim! We’re glad to hear that your overall auction experience was enjoyable. If you have any questions or need assistance in the future, don’t hesitate to reach out. Happy bidding!
Everytime I'm in the middle of an auction the app crashes and requires me to keep signing back in, this causes me to lose out on bids.
Thank you for reaching out, and we’re sorry to hear about the app performance issues you’re experiencing during auctions. We understand how frustrating it can be to miss out on bids due to technical difficulties.
To improve your experience, we recommend checking that you’re using the latest version of the app, as updates often include bug fixes and performance enhancements. If the problem persists, please contact our support team directly so we can investigate the issue further and work toward a resolution.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us make HiBid better for all our users, and we hope to improve your auction experience soon.

I have had multiple experiences where the item was not described correctly or misleading description. I'm seriously considering not using this site anymore. Buyers beware of auctioneer and description.

Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
