Auction vault auction experience

My recent experience with auction vault was very disappointing. I sent the auctioneer a number of emails and have not received any response. All I got was their invoice. The lot title and description was not that clear or accurate. As a result I bud on an item thinking it was 5 ounces of silver pellets when it was in reality 1 ounce. I put a bud of 50 with a max bid 72. The bidding action was also very sketchy as there were bids right up to 71 dollars. No other 1 ounce lot came close to that. It seemed like the auctioneer was putting in fake bids in order to drive up my purchase price. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. I tried to lower my max bid from 72 to 51, the current hi bid, but your system did not allow it. You should allow that as other auctions do allow modification of max bids. I Told auction vaults that I wanted them to cancel that purchase. They can easily add that to a future auction at minimal cost. Otherwise I will boycott all their future actions out of Principle. My future participation in any Hibid auction is actually now being reconsidered.

If you still haven’t heard from the seller, you can contact them directly. On the auction page, click the seller’s company name to view their phone number and email address. Reach out and they’ll confirm whether your bid won and provide payment and pickup instructions.

I purchased a chicken coop and received a hamster cage. I believed I would actually get what I purchased but the picture was not even what I bought. This site allows deceitful and untrustworthy sellers to sell merchandise that may not even be the right product that is pictured. I am very disappointed and will not use this site again.

Cheating, dishonesty

I want to complain about the most recent particularly unhappy auction experience. The name is GTA Auction. There is deceptive behavior in their Description. I want to auction a bag of dog food, which is said to be 35lb, "open from the top", without any real pictures. But when I went to pick up the goods, I found it wasn't 35lb. There was less than half a bag of dog food. So I said at that time that it wasn't what I wanted. They said they could refund me by EMT, so I didn't take the dog food away and waited for them to refund me. But a week has passed. During this period, I sent them several emails, but no one replied to me. I also called several times, all saying they would return it to me, but I still haven't received it. I'm extremely angry about this auction experience. I hope everyone won't be deceived in the future.

Crawford Estate Auction

It was great. Even pickup, only thing I could add is because there were no dimensions or sizes I thought I bought a set of regular sized vases and when I picked them up they were only 4 inches tall! That part could use improvement, otherwise everything else was great.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE! They sell jewelry and use unrealistic "retail appraisals" I based my buying price at 10% of their appraisal. My Jewler only apprised it at half of what I paid. Same Auctions AJCA, AA, SJA. Owner of these auction houses is Adam Hill.

Online auctioning is fun. The only recommendation I would make is to allow the customer to have access to our billing information to know that the invoices have been paid. Having to check back and forth with the auctioneer to ensure payment has been received adds and additional point of contact that could be removed.

Amazing Resource

HiBid makes it very easy to place bids and purchase things from local auctions. I even purchase things from auctions cross the United States and Canada. They've made it possible for everyone to participate in bidding on auctions. They're a valuable resource for finding. Hard to locate items and items at a fraction of the cost you woukd find them elsewhere.

I placed the highest bid of $650 on Lot #400 (Canik TTI Combat 9mm) via HiBid on May 10,2025. The auction closed on May 18 with a final sale price of exactly $650—my bid. Yet, I was not named the winner, and neither HiBid nor the auctioneer has responded to my repeated inquiries. No explanation, no accountability. This raises serious concerns about the integrity and fairness of their auction process. Buyers, beware.

While HiBid provides the online bidding platform, each auction is independently operated by the seller. This includes setting and enforcing terms, including whether or not items have reserve prices—which are permitted in online auctions. If an item has a reserve and bidding does not meet or exceed that amount, the seller is not obligated to honor the high bid, even if it matches the current top bid displayed. In some cases, sellers may also retain the right to withdraw items after bidding closes, though this should be clearly outlined in their auction terms.
