The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

My daughter got me hooked on this! It was easy to use, and a lot of fun! I'm already watching items on the next auction.
They resale my wining lots, that was not good that I have to drive 2 hours to go pick up my wining to fine out they where not there they resale to other people that pick up during the week I when Saturday
Hi Hilario, we’re very sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it must have been to make a long drive, only to find your winning lots were no longer available. Each auction company on HiBid is responsible for managing their own pickup schedules and handling of sold items. That said, we do still take concerns like this seriously. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774 so we can help look into this further and follow up with the seller directly.
Always good entertainment looking for more stuff that I probably would be ok without! It's. Fun! It helps me look for things I can use. Well run and easy!
Thanks so much, JM! We're glad you're enjoying the hunt—it’s half the fun of bidding! Whether it's something you need or just a great find, we’re happy to make the process easy and entertaining.
Usually never had an issue, but during the live bid session, i was kicked out of the bidding room, mid process, causing me to loose on some bids that i was not done with. Was very upset as I was trying to buy an entire collection, and price was not the issue, but the timing of failure point was only during the live bid session
Hi Brandon, thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the issue you experienced during the live bidding session. We understand how frustrating it can be to get disconnected—especially when you were actively pursuing a full collection. While we’ve made ongoing updates to improve stability during live auctions, connection issues can also depend on factors like internet strength, device type, or browser being used. Since we don’t have visibility into your setup, we’d be happy to look into this further if you contact our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Found an auction that was relatively geographically close because I was picking up my items. Can't speak to the shipping process but things went smoothly.
Thanks, Vicky! We're glad to hear everything went smoothly with your local pickup. If you ever decide to try an auction that offers shipping, we hope it’s just as seamless!
J & D Estate Liquidaters is using shilling (forcing bids to the max) to increase sales. I got them to correct my lots but several other bidders were taken advantage of.
Hi Carolyn, thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. Price manipulation, including practices like shill bidding, is prohibited on HiBid, and we take these types of concerns seriously.
That said, we can’t say for certain whether this was price manipulation without looking into it further. In many cases, multiple genuine bidders can trigger max bids to advance rapidly, especially in a competitive auction environment.
If you'd like us to investigate this further or if the issue remains unresolved, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team at 844-775-4774.
I sat through what I thought was an auction. I bid and "won" items. Low and behold to
Me the seller decided to go a different route because he didn't like the outcome… I wont use hi bid again going auctions aren't absolute. Il use real auction companies like big iron, Sullivan, and Auctiontime
Hi Travis, thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. All sellers on HiBid are independent and responsible for setting their own auction terms—including whether they use reserves or retain the right to withdraw items. That said, we understand how frustrating it is to win items only to have the seller choose not to honor the results.
We’re continually working to ensure transparency and consistency across the platform, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. If you’d like help reporting the auction or would like us to follow up with the seller, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774.
Always easy to use and lots of options for local auctions! Manuals auctions is my favorite!
Thanks, Andre! We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the platform and finding great local auctions. Happy to hear Manuals Auctions is your favorite—happy bidding!
In a recent auction, I successfully bid on several items for my newly built garden hut, and for great prices.
Thanks for sharing, Janice! That sounds like a fun and productive auction win—congrats on the garden hut setup! We’re glad you scored some great deals.
A friend decided to retire from antique business so had the auction. It was well organized and quality photos and descriptions including measurements, which are very important.
Once you get used to the site and how it works you have a good experience. Like everything these days you have to keep pushing buttons.
Thanks for the honest feedback, John! Glad to hear you're enjoying the experience overall—there’s definitely a bit of a learning curve at first, but it gets smoother the more you use it.
Overall really great. However, 2 items were not as described - there was damage to them that was NOT in the listing/lot description. That is a little frustrating. And one of the items it does affect its use.
Hi Miki, thank you for your feedback—we’re glad to hear you’ve had a mostly great experience, but we’re sorry to hear that a couple of your items didn’t match their descriptions. We understand how frustrating that can be, especially when the condition affects usability.
Each auctioneer is responsible for providing accurate listings, so we recommend reaching out directly to the seller regarding any concerns. If you need help locating their contact information or would like assistance following up, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774.
Thanks, Kathy! We're happy to hear the pictures, descriptions, and pickup details were helpful—glad you had a smooth experience!
I've been using HiBid enough to give you some suggestions that would enhance the experience. Not sure if the coding for this would be tough but... a great option would be to have a live bid view that includes only your watch list items. Not everyone would like it but it would be great for users who have identified the watch list and then have to fight the clutter of the live bid window with lots of items that you don't want to bid on. Thought about this a lot. Definitely would be an improvement. User selects "Live bid - all lots" or "Live bid - watch list". On last thing... I DON"T WANT YOU USING FULL NAME IN A REVIEW. You can use Mike B. But I do not consent to using my first and last name online
Hi M. B., thank you for the detailed feedback and for being a longtime HiBid user—we truly appreciate it. Your suggestion for a live bidding view filtered by your watch list is a great idea, and we can definitely see how that would improve the experience during busy auctions. We’ve shared your input with our development team for future consideration.
Regarding your privacy concern, Sitejabber displays the name entered when a review is submitted. If you'd prefer to remain anonymous or use initials, you can enter just “Mike B.” or any variation you’re comfortable with when posting a review in the future.

I was betting on items and watching several bids at once and the timing wasn't adding up leading to me losing several bids. I also couldn't verify the status of a bid after it closed leading me to believe I lost the bids. Only to wake up to a long invoice saying I won several bids. Frustrating process.
Hi Lakeshia, thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry for the confusion and frustration you experienced. It sounds like the timing of the soft-close feature, combined with tracking multiple items, may have made it difficult to follow your bids in real time. We understand how important it is to clearly see your bidding status and results.
If you have questions about the charges on your invoice or need clarification on what you won, we recommend reaching out to the auction company directly—they’ll be able to provide the most accurate information. And of course, our support team is always here to help as well at 844-775-4774.
Easy to bid and follow up on your last bid. Also the folks at the auction house are great people that help you through out the check out process.
Thanks, Rod! We're glad to hear the bidding process was smooth and that the auction team made checkout easy. Appreciate you being a part of the HiBid community!
I was not offered a chance to preview auction items, like other auctioneers?
Hi Gregory, thanks for your feedback. Preview opportunities are set individually by each auctioneer, so availability can vary from one auction to the next. Some sellers offer in-person previews or additional photos upon request, while others may not.
If previewing items is important to you, we recommend checking the auction’s terms or reaching out directly to the seller before bidding. If you ever need help locating that contact information, feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774—we’re happy to assist.
Things went smooth. Just as I would have expected it. Everything went as it should.
Thanks, David! Glad to hear everything went smoothly and met your expectations — that’s exactly what we aim for.
I do most of my viewing through a Samsung phone and have noticed we lost several features and/or ease of access to frequently used features. This has significantly impacted ease of use for me. It appears to me that you need to do more testing on phone systems.
Hi Brett, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the recent updates have made things more difficult on your Samsung device. Our goal is always to improve the user experience, but we understand that changes can sometimes disrupt workflows—especially on mobile.
We truly appreciate you pointing this out and will pass your comments along to the team for further testing and review. If you’re open to it, we’d love to hear which features you’re missing or finding harder to access. Feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774.
When I picked up the goods, the service I got was really good. Better than I expected. I will use this auction again.
Thanks, Paul! We're thrilled to hear the pickup experience exceeded your expectations. Looking forward to having you bid again soon!
Thanks, Kathy! We're glad to hear everything went smoothly and that the team was helpful throughout your experience. Hope to see you at another auction soon!
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

That’s awesome to hear, Marta! We’re so glad your first experience was fun and easy—and it’s even better that you’re already keeping an eye on the next auction. Welcome to the world of bidding!
