MOST the reps do not care about helping you nor do they even know what they are doing. It is impossible for me to look up my own application, and no one knows why. Here I wait for the forms to turn in to my accountant, and time after time, they do not come. I absolutely HATE dealing with them.

Horrible!
February 14, 2017

I was shopping for a child only plan (adding one person to my employer's plan is so expensive). The process seemed to be easy, the person on the phone very helpful. She pulled up several insurance companies that my child's doctor's office accepted. I picked one, signed up, paid and thought I was good to go. Turns out my child's doctor doesn't accept the insurance that I was told by healthcare.gov they did... I have to switch from the only Dr. my child has ever seen to some random person with no other options. Oh and when I was talking to my child's doctor's office, they told me they've had a bunch of patents who also went through healthcare.gov and was given wrong information and are now in the same boat as I am.

Horrible
January 15, 2017

My only two choices for coverage are ambetter and BCBS. I have LITTLE choices for such a large decision. The only reason I'm searching is because we had UnitedHealthcare through the Marketplace last year and they dropped out. Last year the two times I needed my insurance my provider was NOT in network! A huge pain and I feel awful having to pick between ambetter (horrible reviews online) and BCBS (expensive/ high premium plans/ small network). I'm considering paying the penalty and paying out of pocket for anything we need. REALLY makes it hard for self employed/ small business owners when premiums are so high and you get bad coverage for such a huge monthly investment. A huge burden...

Cancellation
January 14, 2017

Recently I'm having a huge pleasure to contact a customer reps for cancellation of my policy. When I started the application no one told that cancellation can take over 2 months and still cannot be completed. I talked with so many reps for last 2 months, I guess 10 from Obama care and another 5 from insurance company. I never believed it can be so big trouble to cancel this staff. Customer reps dropping calls, arguing and one even transfered me to Spanish speaker! Representative. Each time I have to explain everything over. Omg I'll just contact my bank and explain them my problem and describe it as unauthorized charges. I can't find another solution.

We all know the marketplace insurance is no insurance at all. Here is what needs to be done and WE have to do it. First, DO NOT VOTE for anyone in office right now, we need real people not politicians that force crap at us. The healthcare is junk they know it and instead of using it they have other. Next, I want to have posted that Nobama is probably the worst president in US History. Well, maybe a tie with Jimmy Carter but that is not good company----for Carter to keep, LOL. Yes, obama was and is a joke, he is weak, a coward and a lover of terror. I usually respect our Presidents but I cannot have any respect for a terd like him. He would not have beat Trump in the last election and I want him to know it. Obama you have run your course take your fat butt wife and go to Africa.

Rude supervisors
December 30, 2016

Very... Very... rude supervisor when calling the number *******596, Jenny Brown. We are both senior citizens and dont like being rude or having being cut off on our conversations... Maybe the owners of this site or telephone number ought to pay a little more and get competent telephone customer friendly personal.

Very... Very... POOR customer service

Totally stinks
December 18, 2016

Have been trying for over a week to change my existing coverage. BCBS which has tripled since June 2014, started around $220... $270 in 2016... NOW the bloodsuckers want $599! Just me. What a joke. The website is the topic though. Another joke. Couldn't log as a current user. Account locked after repeated tries. Couldn't get through to a live person. Left number for call back EVENING and lo and behold was called during the day at work. Finally got through after being hung up on and system down. 18 hours later... still down... sooooo disgusted. Have more important things to do besides logging (attempting to) in to view their unsavory coverage options!

They DON"T call you back!
December 16, 2016

When you leave your number for them to call you back, WHY don't they every call back. I have called for the past 2 days and when they ask me to leave my number, the recording stated that, "you won't lose your place in line". BullS! I have left my number 4 times and never got a call back.
If you can find another way to get health coverage, do that instead. The coverage itself may be ok, but going thru all the hoops to get there is a HEADACHE!

I am trying to update my application on the HealthCare.gov website. However, there are certain questions that I don't have the answer for, because I don't know what is going to happen in 2017. I am not a mind reader. So, I decided to call them to explain my situation. The recording said I had a wait time of 30 minutes. Okay, so I put the speaker phone on so I could do other things while waiting. An hour and a half later, I am still waiting for the next representative. Of course, I am so far into it now that I don't want to hang up, but, it is also getting late so I don't know how much longer I can hold on. This is absolutely ridiculous! This is why I always wait until the last minute to renew my application, because I know there are going to be questions on the website that I cannot answer and am going to have to call them, and it's going to be at least a 2-hour process (or longer). This is ridiculous to have to go through this every year. I do hope our new president elect can come up with another plan so we won't have to do this every year.

Horrible
December 10, 2016

I filled out my application through this website and I haven't heard anything back. So I called customer service and asked what was going on with my application and the man that I talked to didn't help me at all! He told me that none of my information was in the system yet he never even asked my name or account number! He just assumed it wasn't there. He was very rude and impatient and after I asked him several more questions about my plan he hung the phone up on me. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I refuse to call this company with ignorant people as customer service representatives.

Not hard to enroll through the site. But issues after the fact - there is little help to be had. Healtchare.gov has me in one plan. The insurance company has me in another. Insurance company sympathizes, but can do nothing as Healthcare.gov drives all the data. Healthcare.gov can't help. May help in 30 days, but, I am told, it's not their problem. So, if your enrollment goes smoothly, I congratulate and envy you. If you stumble during enrollment, you have my deepest sympathy.

This website will confuse the heck out of you, i was beyond frustrated trying to enroll in coverage for my family. I decided to call the 1-800 number for assistance and boy I'm so glad I did. I received the best service from a young lady named Storie Jaye. No only did she help me enroll, she broke down every question to me so I could better understand! I'm so computer illiterate but this young lady deserves all the props in the world, sister girl did her thang! Only thing negative I have to say is that I wish she had a direct line! I suggest to everyone to call in and allow the reps to help you instead of trying to do it yourself...

Should be a negative 10!
November 3, 2016

Whoever designed this website was a complete idiot. I wonder if anyone tested this POS. Try to print out your options and it takes 40 pages and the information is so garbled and disorganized, there is no way to do an adequate comparison. The basic information the pops up is worthless. It shows family deductible not individual. I could go on and on. They've had years to work on this... and I'm sure they've been well compensated for a complete piece of crap! The telephone assist people barely speak English... Hillary can kiss it!

Could not get any doctor
October 29, 2016

My husband lost his job in 8/16. We family of 4 end up go for ACA with HMO lowest premium. I could not get any doctor. I called Molina healthcare and asked for help in finding any OBGYN doctor for my routine check up. The agent sit on the phone with me for 1h15' just to try to find any dam doctor willing to see me even I am willing to travel 50 miles radius to have a pap smear done. I know I have a dirt cheap HMO premium but I could not afford the better one. To avoid the penalty we have no choice. Obama health care plan is really broken since no doctors or hospital wants to take me. If my husband find his job and covered, no one want this crap healthcare.

I've had danced around this marketplace trying to find a plan that is affordable, universally accepted and covered what my family had in the previous years. Apparently this is an impossibility. Just to save you some time, I paid $980 for a 14K deductible, I'm 30 years old with a wife and 2 kids, $90 copay, no dental or vision, new Drs won't take it, and it hardly covers anything. After doing my calculation I was better to save the money and pay cash for everything we had done this year including the birth of our new son.

Do what it takes to stay away from any of these plans.
