Service lady gave me incorrect information (I personally felt that she guessed). She told me the vehicle would take an additional six days from originally quoted. To my surprise I received a reminder call stating that my vehicle was at the dock for 3 days waiting. My suggestion is that you teach your employees not to "assume" or "guess"when responding to customer's questions. If you don't know, find someone who does. Its all about educating the young workers now. I go through the same issues at work. :) Big Mahaloz!
When I first contacted your booking agent in November I told him, "I absolutely have to pick up my car no later than January 2nd in the Oakland port, and based on that when do I need to ship it?" I figured I was being clear and leaving plenty of time for transport. Because shipping vehicles is your business, I trusted what he told me and booked with your company, but on January 2nd in Oakland, the port said my car wouldn't be ready to be picked up for several days! In a panic, I contacted your office and the agent explained that the ship arrived in Oakland by January 2nd, but the unloading of the containers of cars takes several days. This situation was not what I had been told by the booking agent, and because of his gross miscalculation in timing, it ended up costing me additional hotel accommodations, train fare, taxi fare and lost productivity. Due to this frustrating and costly experience, I will be using a different transport company for my next vehicle.

I submitted a new order/request for February 2nd and received an email but no phone call this time. Hawaii Car Transport is the most reasonable price, so I have decided to move forward (plus you have good reviews).

Very Helpful, very patient and willing to work with a tight schedule imposed upon me by employer. Communication between broker and service supplier was lacking, but that's as much due to the service supplier as broker. Overall very satisfied.

My vehicle was rejected for transport by Matson - Hawaii Car Transport did everything in their power to accommodate my shipment. Very pleased with the whole experience.
I contacted customer service for an issue when I recieved my car. My car had motor oil all over it when I received it. I emailed the representative and she never contacted me. I called customer service and had to file a claim. Claim personnel didn't follow up until a week after I filed a claim. I send many photos and paperwork noted that it should have been billed due to the oil and Hawaii car transport denied it.
Over a week delay beyond originally predicted delivery date, with no explanation and no notifications as the week went by. Difficult to contact a live voice and when contacted, I was referred to three different third parties (Horizon Honolulu, Horizon Lihue, and finally the barge company that picked up the car from Horizon) to locate the vehicle and predicted delivery date. Once it arrived in Lihue, a full 24 hr passed without our being notified of its arrival and availability for pick-up; we only learned it had arrived by making all those calls over 45 minutes. The car arrived in good condition, but you guys really need to work on customer service and communication. When a customer books with you, it is your responsibility to provide detailed information along the way -- not require customer to contact your contractor!
So far so good. Will be calling rep to follow-up on booking. November 25,2014, I picked up my vehicle from Horizon but not after finding out the night before that my car was ready for pick up on Wednesday the 19th. I checked my landline messages on Tuesday night, November 24th frantic to question why wasn't I contacted on my second contact number, my cell phone, on the 20th, Thursday. I have my phone with me 24/7. Isn't everyone nowadays? I double checked my booking document to make sure my mobile phone was on it. It was! I finally got a hold of Trisha on the 25th. She was very nice but was told that they did not have my cell number. My vehicle sat in the sun/rain for SEVEN days. She was very apologetic and said that she could move it under a tent until I picked it up. Hawaii Car Transport did not pay attention to detail!

Website was easy to fill out and information is readily available. Only draw back was my vehicle battery was dead when I picked up my truck.
