DO NOT USE HANDY! NO STARS FRAUD!
I have a professional cleaning company, I had been contacted by handy quite a few times in the past and decline to participate with service. My decision was based on not knowing enough about handy and the fact that they really offered little information other than they were supported by Walmart and wish and a couple of other places they mentioned.
I was contacted by handy to perform a one-time cleaning service for a gentleman, I was reluctant at first, then I decided to take one job and see what would happen. The job was legitimate I went in and performed my service. The customer was pleased I'd had them check everything before I left. The client was supposed to contact handy confirming that the job was done to their satisfaction and then monies would transfer from the client through the third party to a PayPal account. While I was there the gentleman contacted his professional consultant for handy, He had to leave a message stating that the services were performed to great satisfaction and then I left. Since performing that job I have not heard one whisper of a word from handy. The client and I have been in contact. They had their card charged in the amount that was required for the job, and neither of us have any clue how to get a hold of them. And I am yet to be paid. Again DO NOT USE HANDY!

Terrible/scam

I booked a house cleaning through Handy and when I spoke to the company that was supposed to do my house cleaning, they said that they don't even deal with Handy, didn't have me on the schedule and have had several complaints from customers booked through this site who have the same issue. Or get paid thru them. I canceled my CC payment right away.

I am utterly disappointed in the service of Handy and the lack of professionalism. They have rescheduled my shed installation 2 times and finally the 2 technicians showed up on the 3rd try. The 2 technicians started the process of assembly and stopped because they were booked for another project. I guess the shed was only booked for 5 hours per guy and there is no way that 12x30 shed was going together 2 guys 5 hours. This is completely unacceptable for anyone who doesn't have the tools or mechanical background. The shed comes with a time of assembly and installation. This project was under estimated and now the customer is left with the parts all over the place unfinished. I now have to either hire the guys again or find another contractor. Wayfair should be ashamed of this type of service and make sure things are completed to the end! They (handy) were hired by Wayfair to do the installation. I will make it my mission to pass a scathing review on every consumer website and people I talk to for both Wayfair and handy. Carelessness has consequences in today's world!

They do not use professionals. Avoid using them at all costs. I paid $173 to install 5 wall shelves. The guy who came in did such a shabby job. The screws were not inside the walls all the way. I didn't realize that was going to cause an issue. In 2 days The shelves along with everything in it came crashing on the floor in the middle of the night. I have so many damaged goods and and a badly damaged wall now and handy just won't respond or make it right. This is frustrating. They don't stand by their service or professionals. The worst experience I have ever had with company so far.

We needed our 55" TV mounted on the wall with the cords hidden in the wall. We received this referral from a flyer in Walmart to have it done for $79.00. When contacting them by e-mail (no phone number provided), they indicated that it would be $141.00 to hide the wires. This sounded reasonable. It took the kid who came out 2-1/2 hours to mount the TV on the wall. He did not hide the wires in the wall but, Handy charged us $141.00. Once they have your card number, they will rip you off. We asked for reimbursement for the services we did not receive, they refused.

Beware of the "expert installation" by Handy and Wayfair. Handy.com offers a "over 15ft installation" they cannot fulfill. After four separate pros and over a month, the chandelier is still not installed.

Received a one time cleaning as a gift. Have scheduled the cleaning twice now and both times they canceled 2 hours prior to the service. Customer service is also unhelpful. Can't contact anyone other than via email and no on responds to the email. I would recommend you find a different service provider!

I am an Electrical contractor that was approached by handy reps seeking help to install fans and electrical light fixtures. We set up our account with our account manager set up direct deposit. Within a week or so we had already done half a dozen calls for handy. Then nothing. Didn't think much of it till over a month goes by. One day i ask my office manager if we ever got paid by them they said NO. Now i cant get ahold of anyone that will go through their system to see what happen to all the info we set up during the onboarding process. HANDY IS A CRAP COMPANY TOWORK FOR MUCH LIKE ANY OF THE NATIONAL SERVICE COMPANIES. STAY AWAY GUYS UNLESS YOU LIKE WORKING FOR FREE. THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IF YOU ENJOY DRIVING AROUND WORKING HARD FOR FREE.

Good at first...

Awful company... YOU gotta buy everything... NO raises at all... impossible to talk to anyone there. Ever. Give ya 10 hrs a MONTH... u can have a 5 star rating but a prissy so and so can just ruin you... Handy charges customer DOUBLE what they pay me. MY clients have booked me already, because they are TIRED of Handy... so shove Handy after almost a year, I realised nothing to see here!

Handy sucks

I really need help with assembling furniture and mounting my TV on the wall. I have actually never used Handy because when they were scheduled with me last year to assemble furniture they never showed up and I ended up doing the job myself with a friend. Right now Handy has been booked through Wayfair for furniture assembly and Costco for TV install. They have already cancelled once, saying the "pro" was unavailable. They are scheduled for tomorrow for the furniture assembly but I see no pro has been identified so I expect them to cancel again. The charges for these "services" are high in my view (though I expect that the "pro" gets a third or less than what I've been charged). I don't know why Wayfair and Costco are using Handy. The failure of follow-through reflects poorly on those major retailers. I think in the future I will look for someone through Nextdoor Neighborhood or buy from local stores which provide delivery, assembly and installation.

I had a slow leak in my kitchen sink. It was a plumbing job and I assumed a plumber would come out to fix it. I discovered later that the plumber was a carpenter. He ended up causing a bigger leak in my pipe. I contacted Handy and all they would do is give me a $100 credit to use them again (why would I do that) and a $100 refund on my card even though I paid a lot more to fix the repair. I requested they repair the leak but they refuse. Now I am back to square one with even a bigger leak. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. They rip off the public.

Handy lies to its pros. Steals money from pros and over charges clients. So far $375.00 has been taken from me by Handy. I work and pay my gas to get to jobsites just so they can steal it from me. And do no client contact except through email which not all clients respond. They dont pay the proper rates for some of these under described jobs and expect pros to finish without getting paid for thier time.

Cleaning service text one hour before appointment to reschedule. Two days later, they text LESS than an hour to reschedule, again. Handy.com is difficult to contact to complain. They know how to make it difficult. Beware. Do not use them.

Terrible company!

Terrible company! On the day of my service date, they cancelled on me for no apparent reason and then "rescheduled" me for another date. The communication is terrible and there's not even a phone number to call them. Everything is done by email! Shady company!

Stay clear of Handy

I used them because I needed my house cleaned once For a special occasion! They did a good job so I signed up - WORST MISTAKE ever! They have cancelled, BO SHOWED, rescheduled less than an hour before they were supposed to be here! I actually had one cleaning lady show up and when I got home My house had NOT even been cleaned! Their customer service is worse - a "oh well, maybe next time" mentality! Please don't get burned like I did - they do not refund your money, they keep and keep sending incompetent cleaners! I made the mistake of ignoring red flags - please please do not use this company EVER! For anything

I purchased a swing set that was to be put up in one day by the so called "professionals". 4 people showed up for the job. Shortly after, 3 of them left without even attempting the job. Fast forward 5 hours, and the gentleman has 1 ladder put together. He then brings in a friend, not associated with Handy to work for an extra 2 hours.At the end of the day, parts of this $2000 dollar swing set is scattered across my yard. It is now two days later and everything is still scattered through my lawn with no success of getting any reliable customer service or answers. Just do it yourself or find a friend. I want everyone to know how bad of a choice it was to allow this company and their "professionals" into the process of purchasing this swing set.

I pre paid handy for a front and rear door install. The pro showed up, damaged the door within 2 minutes. Then said the job was too big and left. I took off the day from my job to facilitate the handy work. Handy won't address the charge (no work was done), nor the damage. They won't respond to me in any way. I can't urge you strongly enough to never use them for anything. Do yourself a favor and use a different company. I am going to have to go to the credit card company for my Refund it appears and it's very obvious they will do nothing about the damage nor my wasted time and effort, wait etc.

They RIP me off

Handy contracted me to take a tree out in fort worth tx, took the tree out, the customer was very pleased he tip us 300 dollars, I've sent 5 invoices bills and they dont pay, I've sent numerous emails and get nothing in return, this was 3 months ago, do not do work for these people,
