I needed some help installing new light fixtures. It's been very hard to book a handy man, so I checked in with Handy.com. At Handy, I was able to book a technician quickly. The technician arrived promptly as scheduled bringing all necessary tools. He worked quickly and efficiently, and he did an excellent installation. He even disconnected the old fixtures and put the bulbs into the new fixtures. I will definitely check in with Handy.com for future projects.

She did a great job cleaning my house. She was quick but very thorough. She was polite and very respectful as well.

I have a Handyman company (2 of us) and thought I was getting in on a great opportunity with Handy... BIG MISTAKE!
No customer service, seriously, none!
They only communicate with email.
I pulled the plug on the last job when the customer had already had the work done and Handy listed it. They cost me a lot of money that day and were not willing to accept responsibility for their mistake.
I'm done with Handy.
Never again!

Terrance is a professional man who know what he is doing. He has a good attitude and very friendly. He is down to earth.

Handy.com claims over 50% of the total fee and charges a service fee. I feel as if the contractor should receive at 60% or greater on the fee rather than the handy platform. It doesn't seem fair to me that the individual performing the service doesn't get at least 50% of the total charges.

This is the 2nd time within a week that someone from handy.com is a no-show to mount my TV. I spoke with customer service within chat app. She told me"Sorry our pros didn't show up." I said "Pros? There is nothing professional about your service workers."

The handy man was awesome. He put the TV up with no problems. He wasn't weird or awkward. He knew what he was doing and had all the tools with him.

The only issue I had was with walmart who sent an email to me stating they delivered my tv wall mount but they never shipped it. However, they resolved the issue. I had to buy a more expensive wall mount however walmart will reimburse me my money.
My next issue was with handy.com. When i was trying to see if the handy man come with the wall mount they didn't know who I was in their system but sent me an email the next day for a rating for their company.

Serious professional company. They do what they say. Timely reminders and useful application platform to coordinate tasks and hire for different types of services. Great reasonable discounts for services upon membership. My apartment is prewar, if I could send a photo of the wonderful organic scent of cleanliness, I would.

Kairo is really good. She takes her job very seriously. She is very committed to her clients. Kairo did a Great Job she left my house sparkling clean. Gave me a feeling of a New Home as everything looked new and clean. Overall I am happy and satisfied.

A month ago I used Handy for the first time. I have used other services such as TaskRabbit before. Handy is by far the worst of the bunch. I had so many issues with their service:
1) Couldnt login to handy.com on the day of the appointment
2) Handy pro arrived on time, but 3 hours later he only had finished opening the 5 boxes (at once) and spreading all of the pieces of furniture on my dining and living room floors
3) After 3 hours the handy pro just gave up and left. All the parts were left spread on dining and living rooms
4) Of the 3 hours, the "Pro" spent at least half an hour on his phone.
5) The Handy pro scratched my TV screen with a piece of glass
6) Contacted Handy to complain about the "Pro" and the damaged TV. Handy asked me to fill up an electronic form with details. Four days after form was filled (including pictures of the almost 3 inches scare on TV screen) and sent I still did not get any response from Handy.

To be fair they offered a new appointment for free, but at this point I just decided to assemble the furniture myself, but nothing about the TV damage or the inconvenience (to say the least).
The worst part was to figure out what part was for what furniture since all 5 boxes had been opened and pieces were spread on the floors.

As for the complaint I filed 3 weeks ago, their strategy is to drag it forever hoping I will give up.

If I could give zero stars I would. I paid $180 for someone to clean my house. The first person never showed up and sent extremely unprofessional and incoherent messages to me talking about how she was being robbed by the company and also accusing me of reporting her for not showing (I didn't).

The second person cancelled 20 minutes prior to the start of the appointment.

I then emailed Handy stating I wanted a refund of my money and to cancel the 6 month commitment because I was not receiving the services I paid for. They credited me ten dollars for each no show. Great. They also said they would charge me $99 for cancelling early; mind you they are the ones not fulfilling the terms of their own agreement.

Third times a charm, right? WRONG. I have now been waiting for the third person to show up for the original cleaning appointment I paid for and never received. They are now coming up on being 9 hours late to their scheduled time. I emailed Handy again. How do they respond? Sorry, are you receiving too many appointments? We can switch you to a monthly plan. I'M ON A MONTHLY PLAN. I want my plan cancelled.

So what this all boils down to is that I essentially paid a company $180 so that I could clean my own house. It was nice of them to pay me $20 in return. However, I either continue paying them $180 for the next 5 months so that I can clean my own house or they are going to charge me $99 to cancel the plan for me to clean my own house for the next 5 months. Enjoy the messages I've attached.

Now about the third person that actually showed up yesterday. The appointment was scheduled for 7am - 12pm. This person showed up to my house after 5pm and I had to force them to leave after 11:30pm. She only partially cleaned my kitchen and guest bathroom and never stepped foot in any other area of the house. She got to my house and ate food she brought before she started cleaning. She locked herself in my bathroom for god knows how long. She also sat in my living room floor and cried about not having enough gas. My husband put a few gallons in her car and she finally gathered her supplies and left. Luckily I have all of this recorded through my security cameras because it sounds absolutely absurd.

We just moved and decided to try Handy for 3 things. The people they sent out were not professional at all. They all seemed like amateurs that were thinking they could make a few extra bucks by pretending to be a cleaner, a carpet cleaner, and a TV installer. The TV guy got the job done "with my help", the cleaner never showed and a carpet cleaner came yesterday with the same machine I bought at Walmart for $199.00 so I turned him away. I called Handy and they would only give me a 50% credit for the no show cleaner and amateur carpet cleaner I turned away. NEVER AGAIN!

Handy sent an experienced handyman named Alex who built my dresser in the the time estimated with ease. He was also friendly and helpful. I woul recommend both Handy and Alex to anyone.

I have been with Handy for 6 months now and unfortunately I've had many "pros" (Handy's professional cleaners) come out to clean my home. Although I prefer consistency, one benefit to multiple cleaners is that you get a sample of how differently people clean the same things. It has afforded me the opportunity to create a network of those who clean the same way I do. That being said, Shamirah is a GEM! Very sweet, professional, timely and thorough. Shamirah used some of the same cleaning products I grew up on, that was refreshing! It left a very pleasant scent throughout my home. Everything was cleaned with little to no direction just as I like it. I've had a couple that weren't so great, but today I was completely satisfied - Thank You, Shamirah!

Omg this company is the worst, so I schedule a cleaning for 12-12-20 at 3pm and the lady said she wouldn't be able to make it to cancel the appointment. So I did I haven't gotten my refund back. I also had a booking for today 12-23-20 at 2pm and no one showed up. But guess what they took the money out my account.
The communication is terrible too. Everything is and email no phone number. I tried to cancel the service and they want to charge me 99.00 to cancel like really you have about 200.00 already
I'm so upset.
