Handy is the first service that I ever needed to assemble my chair and Kevin today, has done such a great job of that. I needed my chair assembled for ergonomic reasons, Gaming and streaming. I would recommend Handy because the Office Furniture Assembly service at Wayfair failed me.
My handyman never showed up. When I reached out to customer service they couldn't tell me where he was or if he was even coming. They said they had to tracker or communication for him. Then they were going to make me wait another 3 days for someone else to come out. Most unorganized service I have ever dealt with.
They were supposed to come back to repair the TV installation (Mount is falling out of the wall). It took 3 appointments to get it up the first time. (Crooked installation with about 12 extra holes in the wall) then I tried to get them to come repair it. After 3tries, they cancelled and said they would refund my fee. I went to Walmart and the manager set up a new appointment, but that one was rescheduled for today, but no one showed. Not happy. I am worried the tv will fall and break plus the equipment on the desk under it could be damaged.

Such a joke of a company. I hired them to "assemble" my new bicycle (already assemble it but wanted them to make sure it was done properly). The guy shows up completely unprofessional looking which I didn't really care about but once I realized that he only had a backpack with him and hadn't driven in I knew something was wrong. Then once he started I had to correct him immediately which made me more nervous. Then he started stating that certain things were fine which they weren't. How does someone think the breaks are fine when they are up against the tires already and the tires aren't pumped. Nevermind they didn't bring a pump which would have been part of the installation. This was a disaster, I even told him that I'd finish later since I was afraid they were going to break something. Before even doing this I called them to ensure that if things didn't go right I would be able to get a full refund but what I wasn't told was that although they took my money just fine, they had to send my refund by check which would take up to 4 weeks. I've never been so disappointed in a company and would never recommend them to anyone. Not even to put together a 2 piece puzzle. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE EVER. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER COMPANIES OUT THERE. DO NOT AND I CAN NOT SAY THIS ENOUGH, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Handy was horrible. I was moving into a new home. I booked the service a month out. They canceled once because the tech had an emergency, then a second time the tech was sick, the third time they canceled and finally said we don't have a tech in the area. Why reschedule if you don't have anyone, say so from the get-go. Now I am left scrambling and they think the $20 credit they gave me is going to bring me back. Don't ever use them
I had somethings to be installed and heard of Handy. My pro was excellent and I checked off items on the to-do list.
Great service. Booked 2 days before and I was matched with an amazing professional! Samantha knew what to do, how to do it and after 8 hours still had a great and positive attitude! A true asset to Handy! I highly recommend using Handy!
I love that handy allows you to book high quality cleaning professionals so easily. However, I took off a star because the app does not allow you to cancel your subscription without 3 months of recurring weekly cleaning fees. I wish that was more clear.
Luckily, the service is great and I'm getting addicted to having my house sparkling clean. But if your budget is tight--be prepared for weekly charges of $100+ on a weekly basis for 3 months minimum with no way out.
I would rate this app/service 5 stars if it was either more transparent or more flexible for customers.

We just had our second job completed by Handy. Both men were prompt and efficient, and did great work.
The first assembled the cabinet pictured below and the second cleaned our gutters. He also evaluated our roof and found a couple of problems that we beyond his skill level. I would be happy to have either of these men work for me again, and I will use Handy again.
Handy.com is reliable and fair priced. Jose was on time and did excellent work. I was so satisfied.
I made a booking on Monday evening for Tuesday morning cleaning. I was given a male cleaner and I cancelled immediately as I am a lady that lives alone, and we are still in lockdown and I feel unsafe to have a male cleaner in my flat. They charged me rebooking fee £20 for a 3 hour clean. I wrote an email to them saying it was because the Handy website wouldn't let me choose the cleaner so I had to cancel (if you use the app you can choose cleaners though, I only realised that after). It is a terrible experience as I have used so many cleaning services before and none of them would not give you options to choose your own cleaner. I also had set female cleaners as my priority and that just didn't work! They could have not accepted the booking if there were no female cleaners around. When I made the complaint they gave no leniency and ignored my concern and just pointed out this is their rigid cancellation policy. They really should look into their poor design of their website. They just wanted money and do not care about customers' concerns at all.
We hired Handy to hang a large HD tv and they canceled and rescheduled on us 2 times and refused to give our money back and said we could use the credit for something else so we chose housekeeping... they just canceled the housekeeping and rescheduled! This company is a joke!
I booked two Pros and paid for $300($50*3 hour * 2 Pro).
However, one of them didn't come and I requested the company to refund($150).
The company said that they can't refund because the work was completed on their system.
The company is a rip-off, provide customers with terrible service. I will not use again.

I'm appalled.
They cancelled 20 mins til my appt and rescheduled me for a day I was unavailable. They still charged me.
I contacted their help email and they told me I needed to provide them 48 hrs notice but they can cancel in 20 mins? I asked for the pending charges to be dropped, no response. I asked for a cancellation of my full policy. No repsonse. They completely stopped responding to me while charging me. This was going to be my first time using them and literally have spent hours trying to recover my money and secure my card.
I'm appalled. 0 out of 0 stars for me. Dont trust them. They dont even have a phone number.
First, I requested Wallpaper Installation on the website however when booked it stated wallpaper removal which I noted immediately in my reservation. I did not receive a correction to my reservation or a response. I followed up prior to my reservation confirming that this was an install. Once I finally connected with my rep – he had very little information about the job or even who hired him - but agreed and showed confidence of the task requested.
Our rep was kind and polite which we appreciated, but was also 1.5 hours late. We do not feel comfortable or allow drug use on our property but it was clear our rep smoked weed before and during the job.
I hired this company to install wallpaper and after 8 hours - completed less than one full standard sized wall in 8 hours (8ftx14ft – top half of wall only). The wall paper used is $200 per roll and there is at least 2 rolls of waste. The craftsmanship is absolutely unacceptable for typical installation.
I've taken pictures of the trash left behind, wasted wall paper and poor craftsmanship provided by Handy. After this poor execution, I will need to replace two rolls of the $200/roll wall paper and hire out another professional to complete the job.
I do not recommend this company for a job well done or for your family's safety.
Always will use Handy.com in the future!

He was very friendly and courteous. He finished putting the bunkbed together quickly. He even helped put the mattresses on the beds.
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.

Answer: Wayfair is also a scam. It's just a matter of time. They are a middle man to hundreds of businesses. They sell products regardless of whether or not the product is available or in inventory. Eventually people will catch on...
