They book you cancel charge your card and lie and say they can't give you a refund because they have proof someone came out. They cancel on me twice charged me this time and lied. They also have criminals roaming your home
This cleaning service has been more of a hassle than a convenience. My first appointment was canceled at the last minute by them because the person scheduled to clean needed to reschedule. The next person did a good job but took 2 hours to clean a small bathroom so you have to micromanage the person cleaning. Another appointment was canceled at the last minute after prepping for them and taking time out of my schedule for them to be there. I was promised a full refund for my inconvenience that I never received. The person before the last person scheduled to come said absolutely not to putting on shoe covers or taking her shoes off to clean the house in which you would think she would have known better. Very unprofessional and then it's difficult to speak to someone to remedy the situation and when you finally do they make promises they don't keep. I'm canceling as soon as the contract is over to avoid cancellation fees. I do NOT recommend HANDY because it's not so HANDY after all!
Very frustrating to deal with this company as it will not offer phone contact customer service. Every thing is handled thru e mail and the program is not efficient to answer questions specially if u are just confused or mis- understand something. They will cancel at last minute and will rescheduale without asking what time or day that works for you. I have had lost money and valuable time with their system. I DO not recommand them and will not use them again.
Issue adding time for our pro. Didnt work. Ni phone number to call and speak to. The rate I paid for 2hrs. Work was over $100.00 the pro only got $30.00 paid from the app. That is absolutely ridiculous. Support hard working people, find another way than this app. That takes advantage of them.
I purchased a bike for my sons birthday through Walmart.com including an in-home assembly by Handy. After the assembly was initially scheduled, the time and date was changed several times. Late last night they totally cancelled the order, leaving us with a box full of bike parts, and no bike.
I HAD A WONDERFUL TECH NAME PHILLIP! VERY FRIENDLY! MY LITTLE CHIHUAHUA ADORED HIM! HE WAS KIND-HEARTED, MADE SURE MY TV WORKED! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TECH TO EVERYONE!
Carlos from handy was very sweet, he did over and beyond of what was required of him, couldn't have asked for better service.
Tilly was awesome- did a great job and worked very hard and n making our home clean. Every thing from the booking to the completion of our cleaning was great!

Referred through Home Advisor + Angi. We paid the service fee, we paid the deposit. After being lied to and jerked around by the provider for days, our project was finally started. Less than 4 hours of work was done over 2 days that did nothing but damage our existing yard (torn out all grass, dug a giant, dangerous trench along the whole length and width in the back and a hole around the existing sprinklers in the front yard) before the ‘pro' they sent disappeared. When we requested a refund, they asked for the opportunity to complete the project. After days of back-and-forth runaround, NOTHING was done to repair the damage, or complete the work.
The coordinator, Joshua, texted that he had to get final approval for the refund, it was being processed and it would take 7-10 days to post.
12 days later, no refund. Joshua unresponsive to texts / emails.
We are screwed out of $985.00, have had a torn up, unusable yard and have to alter work schedule and relocate our dog every day. DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE.
I have used Handy for 3 furniture assembly engagements. All were done professionally, all were assembled with safely and solidity in mind. Included are 1 computer desk, 2 standing floor lamps, a large bureau, a 6 section cube floor unit and a cube wall unit.
I would certainly use them again as needed.
Gonzalo did an excellent job and went above and beyond. Among other things, I had asked him to remove some large staples that were sticking up from my floor that would be dangerous to my future puppy. He then puppy-proofed additional areas and was extra careful. Overall he was professional and efficient and truly skilled at his work. I would definitely hire Gonzalo again!
Handy came to assemble a bed frame which I had bought on Wayfair. Alexandra was on time, kind, efficient, and did an incredible job.
Google Nest is partnered with this company which is why I used them in first place. Made an appt for AC check. They called day of and said the only appt they can find is next day after appt, then get an email stating appt is 5 days aways! What kind of crap is that? I could have found someone local quicker than waiting for them. I canceled appt but as usual I am out the money for them for 3 to 5 days while it is being refunded. NEVER NEVER use them!
Would definitely recommend, use this company for various services. Bed setup, furniture and handyman services.
Handy promises to be in contact with you within minutes if you have an urgent matter. I have requested a call back back 12 different times through emails and they finally call back to be unhelpful. They are passive and do not address the issue. It is so difficult to get questions answered and they are very vague with their follow through. I went in with the idea that this is a great service only to find out it's a bunch of crap. I spent hours trying to get my first booking completed with the questions I had that were never answered. Also, you get the number for you pro member, but my guy had a disconnected number then they wanted to charge me $15 for cancelling the job. Do not waste your time with this company. They are horrible.
The pros are the babies and the money they make is the candy and handy is the one doing the taking. Honestly, worst customer service. All emails now seem automated and it takes a minimum of two days to receive a response. So, I hope you like investing a month of your time fighting false fees. I wouldn't suggest handy to anyone. Consumer or contractor. You'd stand a better chance at receiving excellent customer service from Saddam Hussein. I would say that Saddam is a better example of what integrity looks like when you compare him and his regime with handy. Go figure, some snob business men in New York went a little too hard on the caine one night and now the world is cursed with handy. Honestly, there needs to be a class action lawsuits against them. There must be so much money counted as their revenue that is unaccounted for when you look closely. I know I'm not the only one who has been paid for work I haven't done or not paid for work I did do. Also, if you are considering being a pro for handy just know that you are the customer service for the customer and yourself. I would rather run naked through a field of cactus than make the mistake of becoming involved with handy.
The first appointment was a no-show, I called and received an apology and rescheduled a new appointment. That also was a no-show, I called and they told me the appointment had been cancelled. I am furious, the only reason I purchased the treadmill from WalMart was as a result of the company offering the in home assembly service. I am a senior citizen and I would not attempt to assemble the treadmill on my own. Now I am not sure what to do, I have an unusable treadmill in a room of my home that I can do nothing with. Why does Walmart offer a service that they can't provide? They got me to buy the machine and now I have no way of using it. What do I do?

I feel so lucky that my first experience while using this app was with Omar.
I needed a few pieces of furniture assembled and I needed a large wall clock mounted.
Omar showed up an hour early upon my request. He was professional, courteous, worked efficiently, neatly, quickly and followed all social distancing guidelines. He was awesome and he went above and beyond.
I will be most definitely using this app again and requesting his assistance.

Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
