I am currently on my FOURTH reschedule for a wall unit air conditioner. HORRIBLE SEVICE. I am surprised that Walmart would be associated with such a unreliable company. NEVER AGAIN.
Our service tech was right on time, very pleasant. He estimated his completion time and finished 10 minutes early. He showed us how to use the lighting and made some suggestions for organizing the wiring. The entire experience with Sergio was perfect. Worth every penny.
My elderly moms' Nest thermostat sent us an email that her house was getting hotter although the AC was constantly running. Nest recently partnered with Handy and recommended we get someone to come check it out. The average review for the AC contractors is 4.5 out of 5 stars and if they don't find any issues, Nest will refund you the cost of the checkup. So I booked her an urgent appointment for the next morning between 8 am - 12 pm. Not only did no one show up for the appointment, they would only reschedule for the next day between 8-12 pm and would only approve a $10 discount. So now I have to leave my 74-year old mom in a very hot house for yet another day because of their incompetency - I canceled them and will be reaching out to Nest to let them know about this bad partnership.
Scott came early and did a great job with my air conditioner even though it was too small for the hole in the wall.
He was 47 minutes late. Requested they have their own tools he did not. One of the drawers does not fully close!
I have used Handy twice now. Once to install my air conditioner and the second to fully assemble my new grill. Issac did the grill assembly quickly and was kind to offer to move the cardboard boxes afterwards. He did an excellent job and the grill works perfectly.
I highly recommend Handy for whatever you need done, done well.
Best,
John
Rescheduled 4 times. Canceled without notifying Wayfair. Then rescheduled after Wayfair made the appotmnet. Hard to believe Wayfair would use a company like this! Never again!
She called before coming, which was nice. She did an excellent job on the whole apt., but especially the bathroom. I have a huge shower. She also mopped the hard floors by hand! That was great! She also cleaned the microwave, and my daughter (27) gives her a 10 for includung it.
Ryan was the representative from Handy to install our large Entertainment Unit. Ryan was awesome,... He was very experienced, thorough, knowledgable, and efficient as to the task at hand. I would recommend Ryan for any detailed work you need done.
We bought a product through Wayfair who offered assembly in our home with Handy. They rescheduled us 4 times. The last notice of a change was 30 minutes before they were to show up. This was for a Thursday at 7:00 AM assembly. After our 3 prior cancelations we accepted the time and arranged our schedule for this. Now we have a rescheduled time for Sunday and again it's for 7:00 AM. Who wants to greet a stranger at 7:00 AM on a Sunday morning? We are so frustrated with Handy and Wayfair that we will never order from them again.

My husband went to get a cleaning service and they did a bait and switch on him. Advertised a $39 cleaning for first time when signing up for a plan. They then told him he needed 3 1/2 hours for a one bedroom apartment and proceeded to charge him $180 for continuing service and $129 for the first one. I couldn't believe it and told him to cancel. They then told him there was a non refundable fee of 99 dollars! Do not use this service!
I've been looking for a housecleaning service that would let me set the schedule and that would be affordable and I'm so pleased with the cleaner, too. App is easy to use!
Handy didn't let contractor know he was removing old stuff. Contractor himself was absolutely wonderful.
They canceled my first service schedule at last minute that I couldn't find a cleaner to clean my business location, yet still keeps charging my card for no service, they don't even have a phone number to call! If they don't even have a person to pickup a phone call, how can you deal with them if something goes wrong?
Very reasonable. I am glad I having a booking for monthly cleaning. My pro was detailed in her cleaning
The service from the professional was great however the Handy Android app was problematic for me. And the app navigation is not that intuitive. I got a link via text to add a tip for the service I received but when I selected to submit, the app just sat there. And then when I accessed via my laptop it was not intuitive as to where I could find the place to leave a tip and comment. Needs a few tweaks to benefit all parties involved.
What a joke. Signed up for house cleaning every other week. Had one visit, which was amazing. Then the following two visits were canceled because their people called out. I asked them to cancel my subscription due to not receiving services and they charged me $100 for canceling. Horrible company and business practices. The $100 is the best I ever spent to get away from this horrible company. Now off to review them on every single platform that exists. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
My experience with Handy was fantastic! Marvin cleaned my new apartment I'm moving into, and it was a game changer! The entire process was so easy and seamless, completely stress free. Would highly recommend, and if you're in the NYC area, Marvin is amazing!
Handy provides excellent service by professionals - punctual, pleasant, highly skilled, easy to book - You couldn't ask for more!
They will setup your appt for you and not let you do it. They will do it minutes before someone is due to arrive. No one will introduce themselves or call you. They will cancel repeatedly and then charge you daily. They will then send you a text two minutes before someone is suppose to arrive. You cannot contact them remember. If by chance you get a text from housekeeper it will be from temp number with no name, no nothing but I am here are you home. No one will be at your house, it is a scam to either see if your not home for nefarious purposes or so they can charge you for not being home when they not you scheduled an appt and told you two minutes before. They will not really be at your house it is a ruse to overcharge you for missed appt. There appt not anything you scheduled and again no one really shows up it's just so they can show a text like they came. They are scammers, it is not real. It is a scam! They cancelled my service after cancelling my appt four times and charging me more than agreed upon price four times in one week! They then by review as that is only way to supposedly contact them told me they cancelled my service and a week later sent a text two minutes before appt time that someone was coming. The supposed housekeeper texted from temp number "I am here. Would not respond when so asked who are you and where are you. You are not at my house, no one is at my house. Well there was but no new unknown housekeeper or new unknown car. They would not respond. I wanted them to come do I could see how they contact them. They never did. I then texted I had cancel service last week. They then texted please review your fine cleaning from lance? Who is lance. They then sent me a text that I waited to cancel right before appt time. No one was ever at my house number one. I did not make appt as I was cancelled a week earlier from this service. I was unable in any case to cancel more than a few minutes before as that is when they sent a text that so had appt and someone would be at my door. They are scary. They apparently try to make sure no one is home. Why do you think that is? They are thieves. They will probably send some fake computer note telling me to email them. It is bogus email.
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
Answer: Again, these should not be appearing in the automatic feed for FAQ's? Who is doing QA around here?
Answer: Probably should not list someone's personal telephone number in the FAQ feed. What do you guys think?
Answer: Wayfair is also a scam. It's just a matter of time. They are a middle man to hundreds of businesses. They sell products regardless of whether or not the product is available or in inventory. Eventually people will catch on...
