Brodie L. Was our Pro from Handy. He was very efficient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him and Handy to others.
Used Handy.com for assembly of gazebo. The two professionals that was sent on Saturday worked tirelessly to complete job. They arrived on time and was very respectful of my property as well as me. I would definitely use those two professionals again should I require any assembly.
Wayfair delivered the item on time to be used for our scheduled event. Handy rescheduled assembly twice so that it was unusable. We're returning the item and will find a different supplier.
Heather is awesome. She cleaned, organized, and was such a pleasure. She went above and beyond! Loved how she organized my fridge!
Danny was prompt, friendly, professional, and thorough with everything he worked on for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone for anything. A ++++!
Keith did a great job assembling the counter stools we had ordered online. Even though the instructions and materials included with the package did not appear to be complete, he was able to figure it out and get it done. Keith was friendly, capable and efficient. We are very pleased!
From the time that Michael arrived, he was friendly and very courteous. He completed the job, went over what he put together, the key pieces and what they were used for. Enjoyed him, if we ever need something put together again, I hope we get him.
I work through Handy Pro and I always do cash out now but I've been waiting for almost 4 days for 4 cash out now payments. I've never had a problem with Handy Pro paying me. I've always received my money within 3 hours. I've talk to numerous customer service people who said they have sent my money but my bank says they haven't received anything through Handy. I work and I do a great job so why can't I get the money owed to me
This is the second time I've hired Handy.com to assemble furniture - Each time, the pro did a great job! Mitchell W. Did a great job assembling deck furniture. Very impressed! He was on time, very knowledgeable, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!
They do not coordinate who shows up so two people who did not know each other show up. One is wearing a mini skirt and flip flops to assemble a heavy duty steel gazebo. She was also clearly high on something. She fought with the other worker and left early leaving my to assemble to project.
I requested a refund from handy. They took 18 days to reply and offered me 50% - this is after having called in and arguing how much I initially paid them even though I provided the invoice.
DO NOT use this service. DO NOT purchase this service through Wayfair.
Jon showed up on time and was very professional. He did an amazing job assembling a very heavy pizza oven. I would recommend him any day!
Handy "pros" often don't show up and, when they do, they're an hour or more late. One of them tried to come on to me sexually. At least none of them have ever stolen from me, I guess.
I bought a TV stand from Wayfair. They work with handy to do the install. Handy changed the date of install twice with what I set up with Wayfair. They even set up the install before the item was delivered. I finally got it set up for the original date that I wanted. That was set for Fri morning at 10am. At 8:42 I get an email saying they are rescheduling to 10am on Father's Day. They could not reschedule for the same day. This is after I moved stuff around so the installer would have room. I was going to cancel my order with Wayfair. Wayfair was so great. They are now is now sending one of their installers. I wish I had read the reviews ahead of time about handy and knew they were associated with Angi. And it is really bad when you can't get a phone number to discuss problems.
My first sched they canceled last minute, didn't make a biggie out of it and 2nd sched (again@7) I've been up since 7am (as scheduled) waiting for someone to show up or at least call. Nope! I called the guy twice, when I finally talked to him he acted like he didn't even know anything about it. And he said oh yea yea ah okay I'll be there at 11. Show some respect for people. I worked til 1am. Slept for few hours. Hire responsible people and fix your automated text service.
Raymond was very punctual, professional and friendly. Very happy with his service. Would hire him back for any other handy work.
So, the issue was that handy had a 10 year old number in my profile and this is what the contractor was trying to use to call and text me. I didn't even know that I had a handy profile until I downloaded the app. Since it was created so long ago. My suggestion to them is to check with the customer that the profile phone number is correct before giving it out to the contractor to avoid this situation. They refunded my $60 and wanted to reschedule but I had already contacted someone else who did a nice job hanging my mirror.
Scheduled for Friday. Rescheduled for Monday. Nobody showed up. When I emailed I was told that the person was texting and calling me. I showed them my phone and message logs from my phone. Nothing there. Not sure if someone is lying or using the wrong phone number. They haven't responded so I assume lying. So, then the next day the story from handy changed to he contacted you via the app. Again, not true. Hey, if they want to take my $60 and pay someone for not showing up, that's a business model that is unsustainable and so good luck to them.
Highly recommended.
Angus arrived early and seemed to work quickly. It took only 2 hours to put together what looks like a complex dresser. The construction seems solid (so no mistakes). He left the space clean and tidy.
I had cleaning booked through Handy. It was good at first but I have been trying for four weeks to get her to come back. She makes an appointment but doesn't show up. Actually, her grandmother comes with her and does most of the work.
I have been a handy pro since sept 2021 and have been charged fees on my account for no reason. They claim its due to clients calling in and saying i didn't show. Im convinced they are scamming me. If you don't show up to a job you get charged a fee understandable but once you confirm via phone and text with client check in to the job and make a report of client not home that should be the end. They scam with paying there pros. I had a job for a outdoor patio set the client said he paid $480 for assembly and i only got $64 dollars. After trying to contact Handy and letting them know i did show up they blame it on there GPS not being able to show i was at the clients home to set up. I would stay away if you need anything assembled. I have did over +100 jobs with handy and this is the third time i have been charged a fee for no reason at all. I have lost over $1030 due to them taking fees and once they claim the client says the pro didn't show they cancel all jobs for the next 3 days. They don't care about there pro's and don't care about the customers as well.
They rescheduled my appointment twice, and when a guy finally did show up he called the wrong number and left. The help line offered no support and said all they could do was book me for a week later but wouldn't change the number on file to the correct one.
Terrible company would never use again, be careful booking them through wayfair.
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
Answer: Again, these should not be appearing in the automatic feed for FAQ's? Who is doing QA around here?
Answer: Probably should not list someone's personal telephone number in the FAQ feed. What do you guys think?
Answer: Wayfair is also a scam. It's just a matter of time. They are a middle man to hundreds of businesses. They sell products regardless of whether or not the product is available or in inventory. Eventually people will catch on...
