Go to the FTC website to report this fraud because they are using the internet to scam us. Go to the FBI and file a fraud claim and your Local State Attorney Generals office. If we all complain maybe something will be done. Their location is a UPS Store PO Box in Delaware. They claim to be contracted out through legitimate third party booking sites but they are criminals! Using Algorithms to disguise themselves to look like real hotel websites while paying Google to be the top search when you put in the Real Hotels name. They do not tell you how much the extra charges will be and then use their no refund for cancellation claim! Guest Reservations is a scam!
The hotel was a big disappointment from what you view online. Rates were higher than quoted online. Confirmation # given meant nothing. Bathroom was nasty (tub & sink). Shower water pressure was just a stream, you barely had enough water. Went to indoor pool and the water was "green", looked like something from a scary movie. No room service at all. Had two towels for 4 guests in the room. Only good thing was the breakfast. Would not recommend this location (910 West I-20 - Midland, TX.

I stayed 3 nights and everything seemed fine. I noticed after my first night I had a bug bite but I just thought it was a mosquito bite. On my last day I noticed more bites. When I got home I started to itch a lot and realized I had numerous bites on my body and legs. I read that BED BUG BITES don't necessarily itch right away and that's why I didn't realize it before I left. These are definitely BED BUG BITES! I contacted the hotel and ask for a refund since I now have to take measures to make sure I didn't bring them home with me.The hotel refused saying I could have complained and checked out early. I now feel stressed and worried about an infestation. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has complained and it makes me wonder it they know they have BED BUGS! I went to Denver because I had an Unexpected death in my family. I booked the hotel and asked if we could extend the night but we were able to get a flight out we left the hotel approximately around 11:00 a.m. but I guess we weren't checked out till after check out time it took over a month to get a hold of the hotel itself because I kept getting passed on to reservations upon calling the hotel the manager so she said she wassaid that she would not refund the money because we checked out after check out time she refused to give me her name she refused to give me the owner's name she stated that it was an individually owned hotel and that I couldn't have anybody's name I told her well I was charged for something that I didn't use so and the lady that told me she would refund the card couldn't because the card was compromised she didn't want to hear any of this all she wanted to do was tell me it was too bad I will never use Microtel again and I will tell everyone I know not to use my Microtel hotel.

I went online to book a 1-night stay while traveling to St. Louis for a relative's funeral. The night rate was $144 and when I clicked "Book Reservation," I learned that I was being charged an additional $72 in booking fees (a whopping 50% surcharge).
Thanks Priceline/GuestReservations.com!
I immediately canceled that reservation so I could book directly through the hotel, then was told the reservation was non-refundable (even 5 days before the stay) and that I was out the full $216.
That's a scam and a very bad customer experience. I'll never use Priceline or GuestReservations.com again, and would strongly advise anyone else to avoid them as well.
Hi John,
We're sorry your Guest Reservations experience didn't meet your expectations. We take customer satisfaction seriously and want to help every traveler have a great experience.

We always disclose all fees and tax recovery charges prior to booking and require customers to confirm the total amount.

On June 7,2023, I booked a hotel room online and was quoted the price of 83 Euro. But as soon as I had submitted the payment, I received a receipt for 125.91 Euro. At no point before I clicked the "submit" button was I advised that there would be a 43 Euro "service fee" added. I immediately emailed Guest Reservations at *******@guestreservations.com to tell them I would like to cancel the booking even though the reservation was stated as nonrefundable, given the 35% increase and I immediately posted the request. This email bounced. The next day, June 8, I sent another email, this time to *******@guestreservations.com, with the same request. This email also bounced. On June 9, I put in a request via their website, where it said they would respond within 48 hours, but I still have not heard back. I put in a complaint thought Better Business Bureau (where they are rated 1.05 out of 5) and they responded that they "charge applicable tax recovery charges and a service fee to cover 24/7 support, service and platform features, and operating costs." They claimed that they show the fees before booking, which is a lie. This is a scam company. Avoid at all costs.

They imitate the hotel website you are trying to use and charge extra fees AFTER booking. Is this fraud? It should be. After more than 20 years of using the internet I have never fallen for a scam. Well guest reservations dot com Congratulations you tricked me.
How do they do this? Let's say you a searching on google to book a room with Hilton. The very first search result will appear and look something like "https/:Hilton.guest reservations.com". Looking at this you would think you are on the Hilton website to book a reservation, but beware for you have fallen for the scam already. Take my advice and never book online, simply call the hotel directly so you can avoid this fraudulent website.

My wife googled the name and location of the hotel that we previously stayed at when making our trip. When the website appeared, with a picture of the hotel, she booked a room thinking she had done so at the hotels pictured on the website. So on 7/12 made a reservation for 7/19. The very next day we found out our dates had changed. We called the hotel to change the date only to find out the reservation was actually made through Guest Reservations. We called Guest Reservation to change out hotel reservation date. We stated that we called the hotel and they had available rooms for our new date. The people at Guest Reservation said they could do nothing and we would have to pay for our original booking which will be empty on the 19th of July. Booking Ref. # *******2397

My senior parents spent a week at this hotel. They asked for a fridge and we're told they would try and get one. Never happened we asked a few times
The rooms are. Not designed for seniors. The chairs are very low like floor height. When asked if they had other rooms with normal chairs it landed on deaf ears AGAIN
Hotel offered my parents a hotel discount for the next stay to compensate for the inconvenience?!
Will not return. Seniors stay away it's not comfortable if you are spending anytime in the room
Oh and the lights are all connected so if you need to use the washroom in the middle of the night ALL THE LIGHTS TURN ON! And you have to insert a card to operate the lights lol

I made a reservation on 7/8/2023 for dates 7/9/2023-7/14/2023. I thought I was actually on the hotels website, which became clear to me several days later that I was indeed on Guest Reservations, mistake #1. I literally had to cancel my reservation 3 minutes after making it after an emergency came up while booking my room. I immediately cancelled and thought all was well since I got a cancellation number and a cancellation email. I became aware on 7/14/2023 that I was charged for my entire reservation ($1909.00). I have called customer service, which is in the Philippines (I had to ask) and have spent literally hours on the phone pleading my case- I cancelled immediately and I am requesting a full refund. Yes, I have a cancellation number and yes, the well known hotel chain has offered to refund this company however, Guest Reservations refuses to send the requested email to the hotel stating they will refund my money (hotel doesn't want to refund them and they not refund me), and in return, the hotel chain will refund them. They refuse to transfer any of my calls to a supervisor so I can escalate my request and basically the last representative I talked to stated I am SOL. I'm not done yet BUT if your come across this company in your reservation quest, STAY AWAY! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I just moved here a few months ago from manassas, and so i wanted to have my 2 boys come here to visit, and to stay at a decent motel for the weekend, but i guess because of my address that disqualifies me from staying at the Clarion. That would never happen in manassas, maybe we are better off staying out there for the weekend.

The carpet was black with dirt. The continental breakfast consisted of toast and cereal. No coffee maker or alarm clock in our room. The refrigerator did not work and there were roaches in the hallways. I asked one of the staff for some towels and she could not speak English so she did nothing to help me. Worst money I've ever spent at any Wyndham motel. I made my reservations thru Wyndham so I didn't review this motel, but I will in the future if I stay ant any other of their motels. The guy I assume who was the manager was outside looking up at the rooms with balconies, for what I sure do not know, but he was out there every evening. Overall rating -10

I was using this hotel with 2 other girlfriends for a wedding. We were coming from different provinces at different times. I arrived before the others and upon arrival did not have a credit card to use for check in. I asked if I could use debit and they said yes but that there would be a 300 dollar charge added for using debit... 300 dollars... are you kidding me? Maybe 50 I could see but 300... this is absolutely ridiculous. I refused to pay this so ended up having to wait in the lobby for my girlfriends for 3 hours. Terrible terrible service and there was nothing they could do to help.

I have stayed here many times. It used to be good. They used to serve a nice breakfast. Now it seems they don't want you to sit down at their table to eat. I don't like room service. The food isn't as good as it once was. I was charged twice for the same room.

When I booked my ticket I was quoted a price of 5985 thai baht but the amount that was charged to my card was 8789.65 thai baht. There was no stage in the booking process that I was notified of this price difference, and when I contacted them to complain they said the extra cost was due to various taxes and there was no way the money could be refunded. I checked other websites (including the official hotel website) and the going rate for this hotel is between 5000 and 6000 thai baht per night. I feel ripped off and kick myself for using their stupid site!

I booked a room for a month in advance and once I booked it, the website refreshed and reset my dates to todays date, and took my payment in full, I called customer service and the service person I spoke to was extremely rude and not helpful whatsoever, she just told me to "check your dates better next time". I then sent an email and I was greeted with the same response basically telling me that there was no way to modify my booking dates and refused to refund me any of the money that they had charged. I also called the hotel that I booked with and they told me that they didn't ever receive my reservation in their system! The service fees are insane and add almost 50% to the original listed price. I will not be using this website again in the future.

First they make it look like you're at the hotel website. It's not!
Then I was shown a rate of 208$ a night for a hotel, so I naturally thought that the total for 2 nights would be 416$. Less than 2 minutes had passed after confirming the reservation, and imagine my surprise when I saw an amount of 644$ being charged to my credit card. It's a commission fee of over 50%! It's just disguised under the label tax recovery charges and service fees. I called them right away to cancel the non-refundable reservation as it had been less than 5 minutes. The customer service rep just repeated the script that it was a non refundable reservation. After insisting on speaking with her manager and waiting for several minutes, she came back with a deal that she read from a script and wasn't quite clear. I understood they'd cancel the reservation, keep 10%, and refund the rest. I tried to confirm that was the case using different words. She confirmed, or so I thought... At the end she recapped and actually no, they were not refunding the total minus 10%. They were unable to cancel the reservation, and gave me 10% refund, keeping a 40% commission. What a thoughtful gesture! Very nice scammers they are!
