I got the confirmation for my order and 40 minutes later they told me they were canceling because they did not have up to date prices from the restaurant. They also say you get free delivery your first order, I tried for too long to figure it out and gave up because it wouldn't work. Don't waste your time.
Ordered through Grub Hub. Got confirmation of the order. Got confirmation order on the way, then for cancellation the exact time it was supposed to be delivered. This was for a work lunch and I had Tor run to get another order. Not cool. This was my first and last time using GrubHub
Will cancel your order and hour after it's placed. This has happened to me over 75% percent of the time. Terrible business model and customer service.
Everytime we use grubhub they over charge you for your food and they can't keep there times they keep moving them farther out
We shouldn't have to wait 3 to 4 hours for food and then there crappy support people are just useless and stupid i personally think a drunk baboon can do there job better
If my driver is some low-life loser that can't even respond to a text or a phone call after being late on a delivery, how am I supposed to review the driver? It wasn't the restaurant's fault. They know how to do their job. The drivers are $#*!tty. That's what I get for using this terrible service.
Worst experience ordering food-- VERY POOR communications. Placed an order for food several days ago to be delivered today at 6pm. Get one text message stating there is a delay, after 45 minutes no update. So, I chatted up the support agent. After some time, we find out that the restaurant is closed. The driver finally text me at 7:35pm stating the restaurant is closed. This is over 1.5 hours later! This is the most ridiculous service I have ever tried using. Needless to say, will not be using their service nor recommending to anyone.
Grubhub use to work now all I get is "We've stumbled upon an unknown error. Please try again." I have called and they told me to clear-out my cach, which I have done. Today I tried on my Linux computer, my 2019 macbook, and my iPhone grubhub app. On all three platforms I put in my order and rest of the information. When I click on "Proceed to Checkout" I get the message, "We've stumbled upon an unknown error. Please try again.".
Today I called and they said "try the app". Which I did. And it didn't work, same message. I asked if "I'm I the first person to complain about this?" the female customer service agent said "Yes". "I have not heard of any other customer with this problem." Funny I called last week to tell them it wasn't working and I asked if they could put my order in by phone. Answer "No we can't do that".
So what is the "unknown error"? Is it there are not any drivers available? Is it with my payment method, credit card? Is it my address, maybe I didn't enter it in absolutist correctly, although it use to work (as did my cc)?
So now I go to Doordash. They seem to work.
First they are overpriced. Then THEIR mistake by not including your ENTIRE items on order. Then when arrives w/I your order they are not willing to rectify... will NEVER use GrubHub again & will make sure I spread the word. Mustafa is also the worse delivery driver as well... Delivered food late & didn't put where I instructed food to be delivered to
We've had 2 terrible experiences with grub hub including tonight's. We ordered food, it said it would take 60 minutes, however we looked on the app & it said our food was delivered after 20 minutes, but it hadn't been. We called & grub hub said it was still being processed... and then our food never came. We currently have a curfew in portland due to rioting so we cant go out to get food at this point. Customer service was barely there & was able to refund but didn't seem to care that we just waited an hour for food and now had nothing to eat. Where the food went is a mystery. Terrible service with no map tracking. Not recommended.
I have ordered from grubhub several times and have always had a good experience thus far. Today I ordered from A restaurant waited for an hour and come to find out they just decided to cancel my order. So now not only am I starving and have to find another place to eat but I'm charged the amount and don't get my refund for 5 days. This is ridiculous! You can't not charge someone if they did not receive the item or service. They need to fix it so you are charged at the time of receiving the order so you don't have to go through a refund process for nothing!
A few of us hospital employees ordered only to find out 3 hours later out order was canceled because the driver was scared to come in the lobby of the hospital. Was not contacted to meet the driver outside. Our lunch breaks are now over and everything is closed. Terrible!
I signed up for the trial for the plus membership because I wanted to use the perks and try it out. And less than a week later I tried to go and cancel my subscription and the membership isn't even showing in my GH account so I had no way of canceling it myself. I wrote to customer service and they "say" they take such things very seriously but basically told me I need to dispute it with my bank and since the membership isn't showing up in my account I should no longer be receiving any charges. I did just that and I was still charged again 30 days later in my other bank account (that I've used in the past but not for this transaction). WTF!
ZERO stars! Driver got lost even after I talked to her THREE times AND sent her my location by text. She explained she wasn't from here. I waited almost a full hour for a cold pizza from a restaurant 1.2 miles from my home in the same part of town. Driver was unapologetic the whole time. Chatted with the 'care agent' on the app who was also unapologetic. I received a refund of the tip upon my request but that was it. Worst delivery service ever.
Ordered before they closed and they never showed up called customer service and they said I'd get a refund it's been over a week and I still got no refund
Wish I could give a 0 star. I placed an order at a restaurant 20 minutes away, the food arrived on time but not all of it. Grubhub just reimbursed me for the food not delivered but wouldn't sent another driver. I called the restaurant who said they tried to flag her down but failed. Grubhub is off my list and deleted from my phone.
Terrible deliver service. I will never use them again. I ordered food 2 hours ago and it is still not her. They dont update you at all and you cannot call anyone.
Terrible ordering experience. PC different than App. Obviously the make it hard to understand the various promo codes so you won't use them. Received a gift card so I had to use it. I would NEVER inflict that on someone else! It took a Grub Hub customer rep 15 minutes to unscrew -- and that's after we spent 30 minutes trying to order -- over and over again. Don't use Grub Hub. It is awful -- awful -- awful... And I haven't received the food yet. I can't wait for more surprises. Yuk.
I've had multiple issues with this company. Drivers have stolen from me, they've double charged me, refused to give me my money back and would only give me credits, they overcharge delivery fees. They're just terrible. Can I put a negative rating?!?
I placed an order for Burger King tonight, that order got cancelled by Burger king. So I ordered from tacobell instead. They stated my food would be delivered by 7:10-15pm my order got delayed 5 times. Didn't arrive till 8pm. The driver went the completely opposite direction of my location. When I got my food, they never brought my drink but gave me a straw... my food is mostly cold. I will never use this company again.
I was so excited to give grubhub my 1st try. I ordered my dinner and started some chores around the house. After an hour I checked my phone and the order was "unexpectedly cancelled". Poor business model.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
