Because we typically have smaller orders the tips are smaller for the driver. I learned that is how they decide which orders they're going to take. I found that out after my time of delivery was pushed back three times. The driver that finally delivered was upset because I asked him why it took almost two hours and I didn't realize that he just took the order. It got ignored by all the other drivers because the tip was too small. Not too small for me a total that was going to the driver was $5 out of my $20. He also told me that the reason it was so long is because I left no tip? I told him that's not true I saw it right on my bill he argued again finally he admitted there he saw it and finally he continued to harass me after he dropped off my food on my personal phone and texted me over 1 hour after he dropped off my food. Ruined the entire night and the meal never going to use GrubHub again
Be aware they will automatically sign you up for there monthly membership. And when you call to try to get reversed they will fight you on it.
My order was ready to be picked uo at 4PM but was not delivered until 5:25 PM. The driver did not ring the doorbell nor did he text that the order was delivered. I only knew that the order was delivered from tracking the order.

RUDE DRIVERS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
I placed an order and within 2 minutes, I received a call from the restaurant to let me know that part of my order wasn't available. While I was on the phone with the restaurant, I received a text that my order was canceled due to the restaurant being closed or no longer taking orders. This, of course, was a lie, since I was talking with someone at the restaurant. After I saw that text, I called the restaurant back and the Asst Mgr told me that the driver didn't wait while they called me. I contacted GH customer service, via Chat since there was no phone number, and they were no help. They only wanted to wanted to offer me 15% off my next order. How was that supposed to help me at that moment? I asked to have someone in management call me, I was told that they don't do that and gave me a phone number. Called that number and got the same runaround. Although, every time I started speaking, the person put me on hold. SO RUDE! I will NEVER use their service again!
I was about to use Grubhub and my meal was $9.95 including tax and Grubhubs fees are a service fee, delivery fee, and driver fee, and wanted me to add a tip yo ot so the total was $19.95 without a tip yet on a $9.95 ordrer!@... this company has to go! Price gouging is there business and they need to go!
One of our main food items was missing from our order when delivered. We put in a call to GrubHub. They only were willing to refund that item, after a 3-5 day delay. When I asked them to pick-up the item from the restaurant and deliver the item, it was stated that were weer unable to do so. I asked them if a food delivery company that wouldn't deliver food was a little unusual. Their reply again was that they were not able to deliver it. So after waiting for a food delivery, we had to go out and pick up the item ourselves. So unless you want to give your money to Grubhub for 3-5 days and pick up your own food, do not use their service.

The driver refused to deliver food to me. She called me and demanded I come to her to collect my food.
Doordash, or just ordering straight from business is a much cheaper option! Ripoff! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Attempted to order Thai for lunch, Spring Rolls, Ckn. Pad Thai and Thai Tea roughly $20.00. When ordered on this joke of a delivery service the total came to $35 and change, 75% of my order added again as fees and tips... they default to a 20% tip for the driver, I will decide that depending on how the service is thanks. $3.99 for Delivery Fee, money grab for Grubjoke, and then when you open "Taxes and Fees" there is another delivery fee added on in addition to the tax of another $3 and some change. Even without a tip it was still $29... I opted to just go grab it and put a note on my door at work, took 7 mins and saved me $15.00. Keep it up Grubjoke and you will be gone before you know it, I sure hope anyway.
After 3 cancelled orders due to a driver not showing up, another driver leaving without picking up our order and no one from GrubHub even called to let us know the order had never been picked up, I will never ever use this delivery service again! The worst delivery company in business! Don't even waste your time with this company, it is guaranteed your order will be screwed up or not even arrive at all.
Driver accepts... Gets to the restauraunt... Leaves without any intention of delivering. Order delayed for an hour and a half.
You think this is a one time thing? Nope. It will happen over and over again.
And yes I tip the full 20% (higher if it's a small order).

Watch your driver on the map, if you see the driver go, then leave never to return, contact support, report him and ask them to assign someone else, then if your food is cold, report that, too.
Yes! Very rudely stating, "OOPS, something went wrong"! You right it did. Cancelled an order for my daughter birthday cake and Mexican dinner 3 hours before delivery. I was livid, to say the least! AND, I had already paid for the spread IN FULL! Ordered a week and a day in advance, where do you get a Mexican dinner for 10 and a gourmet Mexican birthday cake in 3 hours, anywhere? Well I did, thank God and my daughters birthday went off without a hitch. I will NEVER use Grubhub ever again, nor will I ever refer them. Very unprofessional, rude and not people-friendly, to say the least! Please, I pray I get every penny refunded... AS PROMISED! GOOD RIDDANCE
Driver calls: I'm from grubhub and I'm having a hard time finding you.
Me: Gives street names I'm on and name of apartment.
Driver: I'm not from around here, I don't know streets and I don't know apartment names.
Me: What do you want me to do?

This pandemic is hurting restaurants. GRUBHUB is destroying them. DO NOT USE GRUBHUB... DEFINITELY DO NOT LET GRUBHUB RUIN THE RESTAURANT...
Ordered food and they took it to the wrong address. Called customer service and they called the driver, who never picked up their phone. At least I got my money back. And I will never use again because their drivers are just terrible. DoorDash may make mistakes here and their but at least their customer service is better and so are their drivers.
Ordered a bucket of seafood from Fishermans Market in Longview, TX. Had to choose 3 meats so I chose 1. Fried catfish filets, 1. Fried catfish filets. 3. Boiled shrimp. Received food. Only had 2 pieces of fried catfish and the rest was shrimp. Spoke with restaurant manager and she said the girl called it in that way. She said she asked her twice if she only wanted 2 pieces and she said yes. Should have been 2/3 catfish & 1/3 shrimp. I will never use Grub Hub again. A $50.00 mistake on Grub Hub's part!
One of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with in my entire life. A huge waste of time and a huge headache. We got 30 days free, only used it for 1 week and discovered there were some issues with the menu. Turned it off and haven't turn it on since. Menu has been revised at least 4 times. Each each they mess it up even WORST.
I even linked them a menu for them to copy and they still can't get it right.
Will probably just cancel them and go with postmate.
Pre-ordered lunch for our staff virtual holiday lunch to be delivered at my home. At the same time it was to be delivered I got a message from GH telling me my order was cancelled, leaving me without any meal. The reason is that the restaurant was our of my menu choice.
The concept of services like grubhub is good and, in theory, a nice convenience to its customers, but the fact that I was completely left without food during a special event is a total deal-breaker. I have no confidence in ever using any of these services again.

Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.
