All you need to do is compare grubhubs price of each menu item to the actual stores menu. Each item is marked up 4 to 5 dollars more than the restaurant menu. Grubhub says you're "saving 10 dollars for each pick up order" but you're really not. If you order 4 items you're paying 20 dollars more than the store would have charged you so there goes your 10 dollar "savings" and you just lost 10 dollars more... on top of the 10 dollar a month fee you pay for their services. Just compare the two menus. It's shocking.
I will never be ordering from Grubhub again. The food is more expensive than in the restaurant, they charge a service fee and this time, there was food missing! And I don't mean a complete item missing, I mean SOME onion rings and SOME other items, and one item obviously opened and not rewrapped. Disgusting.
I have used this service out of pure necessity many times. My food has been said to be delivered and it wasn't. Once a driver became angry with me when he said it was delivered I told him no it wasn't so he brought back the bag and said a dog must've gotten it, he slammed it on my porch and was hateful and rude and my son and I were left with no food. I could understand this happening once or even twice but to happen so many times I can't count?! I called a couple times to complain and the lady was talking and I heard a rooster in the background! Am I in the twilight zone? And they don't refund your $ immediately which is VERY INCONVENIENT! I'm poor! It has made me so mad I've had seizures! They don't care! They won't compensate either. They say they'll give you $5 off your next order but who wants to go through that again? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. They can't even transfer a call to refund department! What can they do right? DOOR DASH IS BEST! I'm a disabled mom of an autistic child so this is EXTREMELY WRONG! SHAME ON YOU GRUBHUB!
Don't use this app! So I had the same experience as a lot of these people, food arriving cold and they don't refund the money. And then I don't know what came over me but I decided to try them again and they had blocked my account saying I abused their terms of service! Basically retaliation for complaining. I had a gift card loaded into my account and cannot get a refund now. I sent a complaint to the federal trade commission. I wouldn't recommend ever using them. Horrible company!
I have ordered a lot from grub hub. Unfortunately most of the time the food is well under food safety guidelines. Last order arrived with internal temperature of 85 degrees…
Drivers rarely have food in a hot bag.
I asked for a refund and they said they couldn't be cause the food was only cold.

After asking for their legal team (they wouldn't give me that information), telling them I got sick. I was refunded my total cost.
I have canceled my grub hub membership, deleted their app.
I ordered food at 740 pm and was supposed to receive it at 835 845 then I got a notification that I would receive my 130 dollar order an hour later after tracking the driver delivering another order. Stay away if you want hot food, hell even warm food. Called and delt with an arse hole that would not patch me thru to a supervisor till I hung up on them after requesting at least 20 times...
I ordered food from a local restaurant and the driver sent a text stating she had delivered the food on the porch. I went to get my food and it wasn't there. Texted the driver again and was provided a map of a street parallel to mine. She tried to confirm it was delivered across the street from a church. When I told her that she delivered it to the wrong address, she advised me to contact customer service because she followed the map. I told her that she should have called to confirm or she could have taken a picture of the food sitting on the porch for confirmation, she said she don't have to confirm anything. I am uninstalling the app and I will never use it again. FYI this is not the first time they have made an error with my deliveries. Guys do yourself a favor and try other apps, you don't want to waste your time with this one
Ordered cooks bev and food. Was 45 min. Late, then just left outside a business in the ground. A customer brought it in, warm, melted... not good service! Don't recommend
I placed an order through Yelp with a restaurant in order to have food delivered to a friend who had lost her mom. I called her to let her know that dinner was on its way I called the restaurant to confirm they received the order however GrubHub messed up and did not deliver the food to my friend.
Instead of having the peaceful and calm evening I feeling loved and being cared for I unintentionally caused even greater distress to my friend and her family by Messing up their dinner the night before the funeral.

My friends, family and I often have technical issues with grub hub from orders not being submitted, having to call restaurant... to them charging my card account then immediately canceling order, refunding account 5 business days later. Mean while, customer service and billing's only solution is to order again. Recommend Uber Eats or Eat Street 100% of the time over grub hub I normally dont complain but now have to thaw food out and get to cooking for tired kids because grubhub won't get a double charge from me again. Or any services for that matter.
Grubhub will take your money right away. But when their merchants that they selected can not fulfill order you have to wait 3-5 days for a refund. Ok cool give me a credit for another meal. You think I'm supposed to wait 3-5 days to eat? They will only give you $5 and that doesn't even cover the delivery fee.
We are hosting a small party and expected the food to arrive at 12:15pm the Latest. I called the restaurant at 12:50pm they said grubhub picked up the order at 11:30am. We waited for more than an hour and no phone calls whatsoever. Later they canceled our order. At 12:57pm. I have to order food again and this time I will have to pick up food personally. Can't trust grubhub. They are terrible! The price on there is also more expensive because they charge so much from the restaurants.
This place needs to be shut down. Drivers take your food staples ripped out from bag and me and my family have to suffer. 99 degrees outside no electricity for going on 2days now. And they can't resend my order refund my card 4to 5 days because of there mistake and customer has to suffer. Well this is fraud never again I spend thousands of dollars per year with them and this is how a great customer is treated?
I used to swear by Grubhub over all other services. Now just about every order is late, missing items or ice cold. Sometimes all of the above. It still costs me 6 to 10 dollars to get my food even with the pass. The menu items are marked up already and with the numerous added sur charges you are easily paying double what it would cost to just pick it up. Gone way down hill and no signs of improving. I will be discontinuing my relationship with them. Bad business just look at their shining reviews.

Ordered dinner tonight and order was smooth, tracking was smooth but when the text came that my order arrived I looked and nothing was there. Checked my camera and no attempt was made. Checked the app. The address was correct. Checked all my neighbors and nothing there. Driver had to communicate that delivery was made. I contacted Grubhub but they don't release names. How can you prevent a bad driver if they won't tell you who your driver is like other apps? Makes sense why they are a 1 star rating. Highly recommend using another service.

Worse meal deliver service you'll ever have to deal with. Never ever using them again. Drivers don't answer the phone. And they are in no hurry to deliver your food at all. I will NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone.

Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
