Ordering online was easy enough.

Then everything else went wrong.

Ordered for pick-up, included a 15% tip at check-out and came to pick up my order by the end of the pick-up time-window quoted by the website.

Waited for 7 minutes to be told they didn't have an item and that they couldn't refund it since its an Eat 24 order. After waiting for a few more minutes, I'm told I need to call Eat 24 to get the refund.

I call Eat 24, am told by a recording i can go online for live-chat and be helped right away. I go online and am told their chat is slammed and that someone will be with me shortly. The chat connection drops multiple times.

I try calling again and am put on hold by the recorded voice. The phone starts ringing after several minutes... one ring, two ring, 7 rings later, the hold music starts again. This happens at least 7 times until I finally get a customer service rep.

The CSR's customer skills are lacking to say the least. She asks for my order number, it pulls up for another restaurant. Instead of asking for the order number again, she asks for the restaurant name. She then asks if the order was for "Bobby." I say no. Not wanting her to guess multiple names and confused why she didn't just ask for my name, I offer my name. She finds it after a few seconds.

She then proceeds to ask me again what I needed. I explain again and she tells me that the item will be taken off and the item amount will be credited back to my account. I ask to take off the tip and she isn't sure she can do that. She puts me on hold and tells me she can. So instead of going back over what she is going to do for me, she just tells me she will also take the tip off.

It was just extremely difficult to talk to the CSR. It felt like she was trying to get me off the phone, not resolve my issue.

Tl; dr Restaurant didn't have an item when I picked up order, lied to by restaurant then told to call Eat 24. Customer service difficult to get a hold of, CSR poorly trained and difficult to talk to. Not using Eat 24 again.

Excellent Service
February 22, 2015

My daughter in Virginia was very ill, so I was looking for local food delivery for her and ran across GrubHub. I live in Florida. The website was very user friendly and made finding a restaurant in her area that delivered a breeze. I ordered online, included the tip in the credit card payment and was done in three minutes. I am a bit of a worry wart since I had never used the site before, so I called the restaurant to confirm the delivery time and the food was already on its way! I think this is an excellent service and I gained big mom points with my daughter. Thanks GrubHub!

I admit at times they mess up by not submitting my order on time, but I finally figured out the best way to use it so I can still take advantage of the coupons. I order and set the delivery time to two hours or more later. As my day ends at work and I start thinking about dinner, I pull up eat 24, figure out what I want and submit. I don't even have to disrupt my work flow or worry about phone calls and waiting 30-45 minutes for deliver once I'm home, I have a short 15 minute wait for my food. Eat24 is great if you plan ahead. And I mean like way ahead. Otherwise everything is late. If I don't think I can wait at least an hour and a half, I don't order through them. Great when you're in a busy environment that you can't really make calls in, and don't intend to eat for a while. Which is probably just me. Lol

I used the website they took the money out of my card and sent me a confirmation number. Then they send me an email saying that my order was cancelled because the restaurant never took my order and that my money was going to be posted back on my account. I looked at my account it wasn't there i contacted my Bank and according to them the transation was prosessed and never cancelled. I called customer service and all I got was a wait until your bank figures it out because we cancelled and I cant do anything else for you. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I USE THIS WEBSITE IF THEY CANT EVEN HELP WHEN THEY MESS UP? THE RESTAURANTS ARE MUCH MORE HELPFUL DIRECTLY AND ATLEAST YOU KNOW WHERE YOURE MONEY IS GOING!

ID Theft
February 20, 2015

I have never been a victim of ID theft until using the services of Eat24 just a few times. For the past month, about $3000-5000 worth of fraudulent transactions has been charged to my account, with most transactions being with Eat24. Not sure how this is happening, but the pattern is there. I will be contacting the police department when the fraud unit opens tomorrow morning.

Do Not Use This Service!
February 17, 2015

I ordered delivery for family and I through this site by mistake thinking I was dealing with the restaurant directly. After I ordered I received a text that the restaurant was very busy and my order would take 60 minutes to deliver. That time came and went so I started feeling like I got scammed. My food finally arrived 2 hours after ordering and was ice cold. Looking back I should not have eaten it but hey I paid for it right? That night I became severely sick with food poisoning. Please please please do not use this service!

Ordered online 8:30 pm, charged my credit card, promised 9:30 - 9:45 pm delivery arrival. 10pm No delivery, called 877 number, put on hold for about 5 minutes. Told they have to call to find out, they call back saying food can't be delivered since the place where I ordered food from doesn't have a driver or whatever... lame, lame, lame. We had to out and rush and get frozen food. This service is AWFUL do not patronize and let it go out of business quickly!

Came across their site on my phone whole trying to order some take out for my boyfriend and I. Type in my city and state and get an option for Chinese that's only 4 miles away. Accept, place the order pay online with my card. Only to find that this place we ordered from is in CO! I'm in MN! Why would this even show up as an option? I clearly entered my city and state. I've now been on hold for over 20 minutes unable to get through to anyone in their customer service to cancel this before I get charged for something I obviously can't pick up. I tried to call the restraunt to rectify it there but I've tried twice and no one that picks up the phone speaks English or even answers to "hello". What a sham. Thanks to a lack of information I will probably be out $30.

Placed an order with them today. Waited for 2 hours for food to arrive and then got in touch with their customer service. And then I get informed that the order has been misplaced and they will cancel the order and give me a $10 GrubHub credit (along with some instructions on how to use it). What they forgot to realize is that a hungry man doesn't give a rat's $#*! about your $10 worth of credit. Pathetic.

To begin, I ordered a $2.49 2 Liter of Dr. Pepper, a create your own pizza which was supposed to have just one topping of bacon on it, large fries and Tiramisu. Now I realize that GrubHub does not make the food, however, i'm paying them to make sure that what I ordered is what's delivered. After receiving a call from the driver because he wasn't certain of my location, I watched him drive in circles for 20 minutes before reaching out to me again. By then even though I told him multiple times turn now, he still was so focused on a landmark that he couldn't actually hear me say, "Turn Now". When he arrived he handed me a bag of food and proceeded to get in his vehicle. I then asked if I was going to receive my drink that I ordered. He surprisingly said yes and proceeded to hand me a bag of 4 can's of Dr. Pepper. 4 x 12 = 48. However, a 2 Liter holds 68 ounces. So I paid for 20 ounces more than what I received. And of coarse my Tiramisu was instead cheesecake. The worst part was my pizza was cold and did not have a single piece of bacon on it. I paid for a lot of things I didn't get and I waited for almost 2 hours to get it. That was officially my first and absolutely my last time ever using GrubHub. I will not recommend to anyone. Unreal, but I guess it's cheap for a reason and even so it's still too expensive.

Absolutely horrible service. I ordered only to find out that, once I hit confirm, the food would take 1 hour and 45 min to arrive. It actually took 2 hours and 15 min for it to come. I called Grub Hub only to be put on hold for "10+" minutes. No way of finding out where the food was. It finally came. Pizza was ice cold and they didn't have the soda we ordered. I WILL NEVER USE GRUB HUB AGAIN.

I haven't had a problem with this site until now and it was a big problem. Other than my food being over an hour late I could not even find someone to contact as to where my order was. It was ridiculous that my credit card was charged instantly but I could not find out where my order was. I tried calling the customer service line several times only to be put on hold forever. I will NEVER use grubhub again

I have never been to a restaurant that is so up customer friendly more then Patsys! Very independent. Borderline rude! And ordering in is no different... After. Ding quoted 30-45 minutes for deliver - 1 12 hours later pizza arrived like cardboard. Salas was swimming in dressing and their answer was too bad! Disgusting!

I used this site/app for several months with no problem. Recently I placed an order via the app and only a small portion of my order arrived. I sent 5 separate e-mails to GrubHub with no response. I complained on their facebook page and they said they never received any e-mail from me. The refused to correct the situation and to make matters worse, they charged me full price. I have since deleted the app and will never use this service again.

Never ever again using eat24 each time I have order food before it takes forever to be delivered. I order food tonight after an hour I contacted eat24 to check on my order, the representative said my order will be delivered in 10 minutes, 30 minutes later and no food, I had to call the restaurant. Awful site and they obviously don't care if you have waited 2-3 hours for your food. Never again

Foodler is BYFAR the worst service I have ever used. Their service and customer service is horrendous. I placed an order, waited almost 1.5 hours and nothing. I called the restaurant and apparently they had not received my order. When I contact foodler, I was informed that I did not received my order because my account was "blocked" and no orders could be place. I was never informed of this block. I had to work very late today and ordered this food to feed my family and now I have NOTHING. AND to make matters worse, it's so late now that I don't have any option to get anything else. THANK YOU FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I WILL NEVER BE USING THIS SERVICE EVER AGAIN. This is absolutely unacceptable and without a doubt, the worst service I have ever used. Foodler should all be ashamed at how horrible their service is and their utter lack of being able to give ANY sort of answer. I called their "customer service" and was told they cannot provide any answers for me and that it is their policy to NOT inform the customer that their account is blocked. Basically, they don't let you know you're not getting any food and let you and your family go hungry for over an hour.

The lady I spoke to told me herself that she cannot provide any answers for me because it is an accounting issue and when I asked for contact information for the accounting department, I was told that's not how they "work" and she cannot provide a number to me. When I asked her to speak to a manager or supervisor or ANYONE who could give me any answer, she told me that's not how they "work" and that there is no manager present at "ANY TIME THROUGHOUT THE DAY". Seriously, WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS?

Believe me, I will do my part so that no other family ends up starving like mine. Foodler is the worst service I have ever used and I (nor anyone else I know) will never use it ever again.
