I placed an order with a restaurant through this site tonight (after having used this site several times prior - with complete satisfaction by the way), and they let me know far after closing, for it and other businesses, that it had closed. By this time, after waiting, both it and every other restaurant in the area able to deliver had already closed. This left me essentially with no other similar, accessible local options to order out for food on a Sunday.
I'm not one to complain about this sort of thing, but this happened to be a super inconvenient thing for me on this particular occasion, because I had no other option to order from any other restaurant at this hour, on this particular day (despite them, on the phone, insisting this was contrarily the case, and that I had any number of options open to deliver to me). I suppose that this is Technically the case, if one were to point to a photograph of a city and say, without exception, that there are businesses somewhere in there that serve people food. Point taken. Thanks for all the help, "management".
Again, I'm not one to complain, but I was so bummed out by all of this that I sat on the phone a very long while trying to talk to somebody, anybody, to get someone to address some sort of recourse for this complete and absolute inconvenience. After wading through two further, different "managers", and then finally reaching an actual "manager", they let me know that they could give me a "$2 coupon" for my trouble. It seemed, without a doubt, intentionally insulting given the circumstances. All that waiting and waiting, all of it, only to insult me for even trying to offer any sort of criticism. Nobody that I talked during this entire process seemed to give a damn about the incompetence that meant my inconvenience as their customer. Nobody seemed to care in any real, tangible way, that on a work night, I made the effort at all to try and talk to a representative about my piss poor experience. I've never been so completely Appalled by customer service in my entire life, especially from a company that I had previously so commonly used.
Do. Not. Use. This. Service.
It's not enough to simply categorize it and all the people that I dealt with as such, but this thing that it is, as it currently operates, seems to be, absolutely, unequivocally,

Ordered at 5:57pm and by 9pm had to go get fast food. After spending an hour trying to get a hold of their customer service through phone and chat a gentleman called from another company asking why I had not reached out to him instead (?). Explained I had no idea who he was and was going through GrubHub because that is who I placed an order through. Finally got someone on chat and she closed the chat on me immediately and rather abruptly and then another man called to see if everything had been resolved and he had not idea what had transpired or about any of the other callers/chatters - he said the restaurant had closed and they would have to cancel the order. When I mentioned that they had the food when they called the first time but I was already at McDs he said sorry the Eagles game has us backed up and then I said... I am in Jacksonville (?). Horrible company - definitely avoid at all costs.
I can't say anything about the food because I cancelled my order. The app told us that the food would take 1 hour and 40 minutes to be delivered. I hate canceling but there was no point in waiting so long. Fast forward an hour and a half later and I check my phone to see 3 missed phone calls. I call back and this angry guy starts yelling at me about me making him drive to me or something. Hold on. I even received confirmation that my cancellation went through. Then the guy yells at me for not checking my phone because I ordered delivery and after I explained to him that I cancelled the order for the 3rd time, he said "okay," then hung up. This is not my fault if there is a lack of communication. There was well over an hour to tell the driver to not deliver. Train your drivers and improve your communication skills please. I'm disgusted with the attitude I was given.
Just don't use this guys, there are better food delivery services.

I worked for Grub Hub and can tell you they have the worst Customer Service and dispatch employees ever. If your order is screwed up, the driver or restaurant can't help you because even their own employees can never EVER GET THROUGH TO THEM. I picked up from many restaurants in Denver who were furious bc they couldn't ever get through to Grub Hub via phone. There were multiple orders every day waiting for hours at restaurants and no way to get through to their dispatch. For anyone who ever thinks about working there don't! They repeatedly stole hours and money from me. I had multiple days where they would remove whole 10 hour shifts without notifying me and after ignoring my emails about the mater for days at a time, their response would be that they weren't busy so they removed my blocks. I'm pretty sure they are breaking many laws! I have no idea how they haven't been sued by restaurants and drivers.
They got a $40 order wrong and gave me a $2 refund. Then they stopped responding to my emails.
First of all I've used them for about a year on and off, last night I ordered food thru them and everything was fine, Until I woke up in the morning to my bank trying to contact my about fraudulent charges to my account, EAT24 was the last place I used my card, it was on the site, 1 was for 92.30 cents, and another charge for like 5.15 cents, I called the company and they say that they saw, the charge and cancelled it, and that they can't tell me who it was for security reasons. At this point I'm livid, they violated my security and then told me they can't tell me who and where or what and how my card was used, at this point I told her supervisor someone in their company is hacking or selling card numbers, they claim they can't see when you clearly type in in the damn card info section, after chatting with my bank I let them like some faulty crap was going on, when I attempted to call them the phone hung up on my twice after being on hold for 16mins and the other time 12mins, then they finally called me back, and tried to feed me a load of crap, about how nobody in there company could have possibly have made the charges to my account. I then was told they will email me a form for my bank to sign for it to be investigated, still haven't received it and also I'm asking them to deactivate the account because, I don't want to use they're service anymore and there's no answer, and they also deleted the messages we had back in forth all but 2 responses they made to try to clean it up, but ofcourse I have screenshots
WARNING AND BEWARE. SCAM I GOT FOOD THAT HAD TO B THROWN OUT. WAS TOLD GH WOULD HANDLE REFUND. NO THEY WONT. I SENT 2 INQUIRIES AND THEY WONT RESPOND. I HAVE READ REVIEWS AND THIS IS TYPICAL GH. THEY HAVE YELP, BBB AND MANPY SITES COMPLAINING ABOUT THEM. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS.
I found charges on my debit card for food i did not order, do not live at the address they delivered to and never sent them any information about my card. Grubhub refuses to help or even be courteous on the phone. Beware of this business!
Second bad experience but by far the worst service I have ever received. I placed an order for a small group of family and friends for ~$60. About an hour and 15 minutes later, after receiving time updates via text, I get a phone call telling me the restaurant that I ordered from is closing early because they ran out of cheese and other ingredients to make the pizza! Huh? Did I have to wait that long to receive that news? They said money would be back in my account within 3-5 business days. They had no answer to the question 'what if that was all the money I had left? Am I supposed to go to bed hungry coz YOU made a mistake?' She honestly said, 'Yes, unfortunately'. Thank God I did have more money and I ended up ordering Dominos so it all worked out. Au revoir grub hub! PLUS JAMAIS!
Ordered food at 3 hours again and it still hasn't come! Spoke with two representatives both of whom said they would call me back and didn't. Driver delivered food to wrong address. Grub Hub claims the restaurant is refunding my money yet the restaurant knows NOTHING about this or the promise from grubhub that the food will be here in 30 minutes. They MUST be lying. I know I better get my money back. They also claimed that they sent me free grub. Another LIE! NEVER AGAIN!

The second time they gave me the wrong ordered and had to remake it and send it again, another 2 hour wait! The worst food service ever!
My son was at my home and ordered food from grub hub. The restaurant delivered the food and the delivery guy told me I owed 25.00. I paid him, plus a $5.00 tip. My son told me that you pay for the food on grub hub when your order it. I called the restaurant, and although they returned the money, they did not return the tip. There seems to be alot of confusion between restaurants and grub hub
AS A DRIVER FOR THEM, THEY STEAL OUR TIPS, THEY CALL US AND TELL US WHERE THEY THINK WE SHOULD BE FROM CHICAGO NOT EVEN KNOWING THE AREA WE ARE IN, AND THE EMERGENCY LINE TO CALL THEM ON IS A 20 MINUTE MINIMUM WAIT! $#*! THE COMPANY. $#*! THE OWNER. AND $#*! GRUBHUB! SHEISTY BASTARDS! USE EAT24, DOORDASH, ETC. STOP USING GRUBHUB AND LET'S ALL PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!
Ordered our food at 4:45. It is now 5 and 1/2 hours later and food has not arrived, despite my many phone calls and all of their excuse and apologizes. What kind of way is this to treat people?
Ordered pizza... it was delivered cold, burnt and with minimum toppings. Called the restaurant and was told that they would replace it until I said it was cold then they hung up on me. Grub hub offered a $10 certificate for a 30 dollar meal. Bull I say! Don't us them they do not care!
Don't use Grubhub. Just call the restaurant directly to place your order. I placed an order with GrubHub 2.5 hours ago for delivery. I searched specifically for delivery and found this restaurant. Estimated wait time was 1 hour. At the 1.5 hour mark, a message was sent to my phone stating that the driver was on his way with the food. At the 2 hour mark the food still hadn't arrived. At that time we called the restaurant who told us that they don't deliver, and that Grubhub was supposed to arrange for the delivery but that the driver never came. The food had just been sitting there for 2 hours. It was at that time that I also received an email from Grubhub telling me that my order had been cancelled. They cancelled my order 2 after 2 hours of waiting. We online chatted Grubhub to get an explanation, and they provided no explanation, only repeated over and over again, "Unfortunately at this point the driver was not able to pick up the order and the order was canceled." I called Grubhub and they confirmed that they were supposed to arrange for the delivery but again they were unable to explain why the delivery never happened. This is also the second time this has happened to us. Now I have a gift of $15 Grubhub dollars to use for my next order which will never happen because I would never order from a place that can't actually deliver food.
I won't be using this anytime soon. I got charged 8 dollars more as a holding fee, and although the money went back into my account, as a college student I can't afford to have my account over drafted. #thestruggleisreal
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
