Zero stars if I could

Going on 2 hours and 13 minutes and still waiting. The place is less than 2 miles away, does it take grubhub an hour a mile? Worst service ever. First and last time I ever use grubhub never again.

I recently made an order and it took 2 hours to get my food. The updated stated an hour. After I made a compliant with customer service all they said was sorry we can cancel your order with a refund. No credit was offered. After waiting two hours my food was still not delivered. Horrible customer service. Horrible experience I highly recommend NOT using YELP EAT 24 ever. PostMates or UberEats is a lot more reliable and much better customer service.

Drivers don't read or follow explicit delivery instructions. I am wheelchair-bound, so delivery instructions are critical. If food is left at the wrong place, I can't get it. Repeatedly, this has happened. Rather than get the driver back here ASAP to correct the delivery mess-up, the best Customer Service could offer was store credit. This is not satisfactory customer service. I'll never use them again... and neither should you.

I've been using Grubhub for close to a year and found it easy to use and convenient. During the past couple of months my orders were missing items and I found it was impossible to get the missing items delivered, the only option is a credit. I still used the service despite this inconvenience. At this time customer service would accommodate me and give me a $5 credit for the inconvenience, as of late they haven't. I've also found the customer service people to not be as friendly as they once were.

On my most recent order it was through a restaurant that actually does the delivery as well. This restaurant called to cancel my order 10 minutes after it was scheduled to be delivered and told me I had to call Grubhub to get a refund. I waited an hour and a half for my food and then find out it was canceled. I attempted to call Grubhub and was unsuccessful so I tried the chat and left a message. I never received a call back or an email so I called again the next day. I was told they would confirm with the restaurant that the order was canceled and they would then credit my account. After 4 days of hearing nothing back from them, I called customer service again. I was told the same thing. I refused to accept anything but a credit to my account and they denied me and told me I should dispute it with my credit card company. They never offered anyway of making things right other than issuing me a credit with Grubhub so I would have to spend it with them. I was never offered any compensation to make that experience better, not even $5.

I've disputed this charge with my credit card company and have chosen to move my business to Bite Squad. Grubhub needs to do something with their customer service as it's unacceptable!

Me once. They gave me a $10 coupon. Months later I try again. Well I am writing this review so you know the NYS didn't work out. Worst delivery service Ever!

Fine Until It Wasn't

I've been using grubhub for a while now, and never had a problem. Until the first time a restaurant failed to deliver, and I found out how terrible grubhub's customer service is. I'm still waiting for my refund.

Two hour delivery?

Never used Grubhub and I don't typically ever order delivery but here I am sick and congested and I just really want something spicy.

Placed an order at 12:39. The place is 3 miles away. Estimated delivery is 2:28-2:38. In no way should it take more than an hour to cook the food, dispatch a driver to the restaurant and bring me my food.

Money grubbing scam artists

My experience with grub hub:

Overcharging me/charging me for things I never ordered or received, including ENTIRE ORDERS which never existed.

Refusing to refund me for the money they had been secretly stealing from me for months, forcing me to call my bank and dispute each and every charge.

Draws you in with "promo codes" which conveniently don't work or have expired by the time you get to check out.

Orders have been known to never arrive, or to arrive hours after placing the order. I once had an order arrive the NEXT DAY. Again, they refused to refund me and I had to call my bank.

Absolutely abysmal, terrible service. I have had to literally block them from charging my card. They are a company of criminals and scam artists with the absolute worst customer service I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Do yourself a favor and stay far, FAR away.

First I was upset to find that order up merged with this company bc they are so bad. I placed an order received my order almost 3 hrs later cold and when I called to complain they were so passive that when they offered me some coupons I said no I wont be placing anymore orders they ur company. We ordered food one Friday night and when we opened the bag, half our food was missing. Based on the GrubHub satisfaction guarantee, I contacted grubhub customer service who said they would refund my money. I waited 5 business days and when the refund didnt appear, I contacted customer service again. They told me to be patient and said refund would appear soon. I waited another 3 days and refund still didnt appear so I contacted customer service again. This time they said that although they told me they would issue a refund that it had been too long and so no refund would be coming. So basically they told me to be patient and then told me I waited too long. Either way, I am out $50. The customer service people were beyond rude and had no interest in helping me. BBB complaint coming next.

Wish I could give a ZERO!

I live in Tampa and ordered at 9:23 from a local restaurant. At 9:40 I received an email saying the order was being prepared. At 10:56 I went online and it showed my order still being prepared. I called the restaurant who stated that they were called by Grub Hub to confirm the order, but during that conversation Grub Hub cancelled the order! GRUB HUB CANCELLED THE ORDER I PAID FOR and the driver was at the store. WTF? They wanted to give me a $5.00 credit. Wait, what? I am not getting my order and you are not refunding me? GRUB HUB cancelled the order. I have ordered from them several times and got the wrong food, orders showed up late and cold. Their customer service sucks! Please do yourself a favor and go with a different company!

I believe it might be the location too, but I started delivering for them 2 days ago in upstate NY, in the evening and I must say its busy, A driver can only do so much, they want you to take deliveries in the middle of a delivery which is crazy, a couple of wrong addresses and well probably if they brought a couple more drivers aboard at that time, it would solve that problem but all these issues need to be solved higher up in corporate, they can do better.

Absolutely garbage delivery service that not only hides their support contact phone number, but doesn't contact you when an order is not delivered timely. They also do not disclose that they use third party delivery drivers. In addition to this lack of communication, they couldn't provide me with any compensation to my $50 order other than a simple, "sorry." It's no wonder they have to entice people to use their service by having a $5 coupon available. SAVE your time and money and DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

I've been working in the restaurant business way longer then grubhub has been around and they have THEE worst customer service. I call to change prices and they are allowed to help but always tell me they can't. They have attitudes all day no matter WHO I talk too... one lady kept saying "is that it?" I told her I would call back later to talk to somebody. Worst ever. I believe it should be shut down. Ordering over the phone saves time and energy for everybody...

I have been using Orderup app forever. So when l logged into it only to be told I had to now download Grubhub. I was annoyed but fine. I go through that process only to see that none of the places I ordered from on orderup are available on Grubhub. There were like 2 places to order from for breakfast on grubhub vs. the 20 I'd see on Orderup. I don't see what they were thinking. You acquire a company with more selection and customers than you have, pay all that money, but do not have the infrastructure to move the restaurants over to grubhub so as to not disrupt continuity too much from orderup and it's customers. Or at least wait until you have it together before shutting down orderup. Long story short, I downloaded uberEats and now that they allow tipping, I have been all about it.

Ordered breakfast from a local place. Arrived way cold, beyond delivery cold... The eggs were runny cold and I ordered scrambled. Called GrubHub to get a redelivery and was met with the worst kind of customer service imaginable. All the way up to supervisors who refused to deliver a new order to me. They basically said cold was acceptable to them. Wouldnt give a refund, only offered $5 off my next order. My next call was the bank who reversed the charge no questions asked. Never ordering from them again! #BadCompany

Terrible - DO NOT USE

GrubHub has sunk to the bottom of the barrel. They have consistently told lies about my order being "on the way" when in fact it is not. For the second time, my husband and I have waited over TWO hours for our food and still nothing. I thought the first time was a fluke and that I should give them another chance. Bad choice. Once again they say "oh order will be there in 15 mins", then I call back and they say they are sorry, it will be 5 more mins. I call the actual restaurant and it turns out they didn't have a delivery driver, had to call someone in, and that it would be another 20 MINS.

Needless to say, I canceled my order. Nothing is worse than a hungry, angry customer. If grubHub would have just told the truth about timing of delivery, I would have canceled and actually had breakfast somewhere.

Don't bother with GrubHub - they are terrible and have gotten progressively worse over the years.

I ordered some food from a Colombian Bakery (Yudys Bakery, Hallandale Beach, FL) and received only a portion of the meal. I had to contact eat24 several times over the next 4 hours who tried to contact the bakery with many difficulties as the bakery is Spanish speaking and not many spanish speaking reps were available from eat 24. Each time I was guaranteed that the order was already on route or would be delivered i 20 min or 5 min guaranteed. This is the worst service I have received from almost any company and the company only offered to take off the cost of the missing item. For a situation like this they should be doing everything they can to keep my business, but it seems as if they didn't care at all, offering only to contact the restaurant to see if they could take more off the cost. Each time I order from them it takes a long time often over 80 min, but 4 hours to correct an order, come on! Show some customer service and make up for a massive flub on your part!

First try. Not impressed

1st time trying Grubhub because I didn't want to drive to the restaurant. Food took almost an hour and the order was missing items. I called and they said there policy was to not redelivir any missing items but did credit the tip, delivery fee and missing item. I asked if the driver wasn't responsible for checking an order before they left the restaurant and they replied yes but they still don't redeliver. Tried and not impressed. Sadly will not use again. First impression was very poor
