They have been charging my credit card for membership I thought was cancelled for over a year now! I caught it on my credit card for membership fee over a year after cancelling so now I have deleted my payment info and address on their website that I haven't used for a year now but still getting charged! Would NOT recommend or pay attention to your charges!

My first and last order from Grubhub. Have friends in town and thought we would order sushi. Never used Grubhub before so thought I would give them a try. Ordering is pretty smooth and noticed they have Driver benefit fee that is automatically added. When delivered only received 1/2 of the order (two peoples entire meal). I reached out to customer service and they said they contacted the driver and he was on his way to deliver the missing order and should arrive in less than 10 minutes. Great! 20 minutes later still no food. Contacted customer service again, they try to contact the driver but he is not answering. The second customer service agent said they can only refund the cost of the missing items. They can not refund the tax on the missing items or service fee, which I requested because they did not provide 100% service/delivery or even the generous tip we provided thinking we would get excellent service. Grubhub ruined what was supposed to a fun dinner with out of town friends! Recommendation to Grubhub, you should refund taxes and other fees for food that is not delivered and tips should be approved by the customer signs off after delivery.

I used Grubhub, consistently, for some months. In a nutshell, the orders were always late and, usually, I had to end up reheating food once delivered.

Problem: Drivers pick-up too many orders and results in constant delays. I've, actually, ordered food that was 1 to 2 miles from my residence. Then, watched - via the location app - see the driver go to 1 or 2 other, wait for minutes for another order. Finally, rather than deliver my order, as my place is closer, they go another 4 to 5 miles away to deliver that order, then drive all the way back to my place. Again, the order late and food near cold.

Needless to say - I've deleted my subscription and will not be using this company ever.

The only positive aspect of the company is it, really, has a very good customer service.

One day at work I ordered lunch from them online, I ordered vietnamese for me and 2 co workers, my total came to about 90$. Somehow grubhub did not deliver it and when I called they told me my order was for pick up. I explained and asked why would I use grubhub to place a order for pick up? There response was oh well we dont do refunds, and that was 2018 and I never use them again. By the look of the ratings I'm not the only one they did like this

As my first experience with Grubhub was so distasteful, first off the restaurant owner told me the person that showed him confirmation for pick up wasn't the person who was photo'd on the phone, I didn't receive my delivery, and Customer service was even worst when I contacted grub hub I will be sending them a letter via postal service asking that they remove that driver from the platform she was very dishonest and stole my food. I will never use this service again

Very Disappointed

The last few times my son has placed an order with GrubHub it has been totally wrong. This time I placed an order for 8 people for a presentation. I received a confirmation email but something seemed off about it so I called the deli the order was placed with and they had no record of the order and then I called GrubHub and they said they cancelled the order because a problem with my account. No one reached out to me or anything and there would be no reason for there to be a problem with my account. Good thing I trusted my gut or I would have looked terrible to the people I was presenting to.

Unbelievable

Spent over a half an hour trying to get the driver to my address. He spoke very little English. Kept going around in Circles. He dropped it off somewhere else then cut off communication. Grubhub refunded my money and gave me a $10.00 credit but know I have no dinner. The restaurant is closed! I own a restaurant business and this is exactly why we will not have third party delivery service. Now I have to eat Frozen Mac& cheese. Thanks Grubhub you suck! Amazon should be ashamed of partnering with them. That's the only reason I activated the free grub hub for prime members. Gonna cancel that asap. Oh yeah and the first delivery I got was cold also.

Last year I placed an order for delivery. I receive a notification that the order has been delivered. It had not been delivered to me. I contact Grubhub and the refund me. A day later I run into a neighbor THROWING OUT my dinner from the previous night. Apparently the delivery driver went to the wrong apartment (happens, not a big deal, right?). However, the neighbor opened their door and TOLD the driver this was the wrong apartment and his response was, "you should just eat the food then." and walked away.
Fast forward to last week. I place another order. Got a notification that my food was running late. Then, the driver arrives and calls me saying he is here. I ask where as my complex confuses people (despite signage all over the complex with directions). The driver just keeps telling me he is here. I continue asking where while explaining that my complex is #14 but my apt is #46. I keep explaining I need to know where so I can direct him and meet him. I finally understand that he is inside one of the many doorways, ask him to go outside and read what is above the doorway. Lo and behold he is at doorway with apartments 1-4, not near #46. I then tell him to start walking towards my apartment and I will meet him. He tells me his car is parked illegally and that, basically, he does not want to meet me. Twice during this call he tells me he should just leave with my food. I walk out and meet him – which sort of defies the purpose of delivery.
I attempt to contact Grubhub that evening and every time my phone went to sleep the chat ended before I could get someone. I try the next day where I am offered a $5 GC - I say no thank you and I want a supervisor. I am told I will get a call (this was a Thursday). No call by Saturday and I reach out again. Now I receive an email offering $25 GC. I reply stating that I am not looking for a GC that I want to speak with a supervisor to discuss ongoing issues with delivery. Now, over a week later, with lots of back and forth I still have not spoken to a supervisor (although I did miss a call from someone late last evening who left a message and said they were a supervisor but had obviously not bothered to review the chats/emails).
I finally replied this morning saying I was available for the next 3 hours and that someone should reach out. Next email is offering a $50 GC - I said no thank you and that I would no longer be a customer if I did not hear from a supervisor. Time came and went - I just submitted a request on both Grubhub and Seamless to delete my accounts.
Doordash can have my hard earned $$ since GH and Seamless (since Seamless is run by GH) do not want to fix an egregious issue with their drivers.

No matter how many times we have ordered from GrubHub, something always goes wrong. We have yet to have a correct order. Doordash is better and actually costs less than Grubhub. Also this texting and begging for more tip is ridiculous by Grubhub. Customer service is bad too -- not helpful and does not give a hoot. Stay away!

So I signed up for their monthly subscription since we order a lot at work. The kept putting charges on my orders that this was supposed to eliminate which took up time to fix. The multiple times the food was not delivered. This is the picture they sent providing proof. I think it ended up by the side of the road. Which again required time on the phone. I have never had a problem with Door Dash. Quit my subscription.

There is an issue EVERY time I order with GrubHub, consistently. Awful customer service who never actually solves a single problem. They just say here's a $5 credit for your next order regardless of the issue. If there's more than one issue (for example, like today, I had missing food AND uncooked food that was late), the app prevents you from entering it so, you only get to choose a single issue to report (in my case, I could only report that food was missing). Good luck with the rest of the matters because when you go back to continue additional reports, the option to do so is gone. You only see an update on the single issue you're allowed to submit. So I was made to just accept that my order was ALSO late and undercooked. Awesome!
Likewise, there seems to always be a problem with the food, it's just never as expected. For example, missing items, wrong items, sloppy, etc.
Despite having some basic delivery instructions, the delivery is never smooth or as instructed either. I've even messaged the drivers before they arrive with an FYI that I have instructions and if they have any issues to just let me know. They never reply back and about 80% of the time, never follow the instructions. I've even had food delivered to the wrong place a good handful of times too. In one instance that this occurred, I reached out to the driver via message saying that the food was not delivered to me and their photo shows the delivery at another house. I was in shock that the driver actually messaged back. He said "I heard the door open so, your neighbors must have taken the food, sorry about that." Welp, there went dinner. Why is there even an option to add delivery instructions is what I wonder?
Oh and if you thought you'd be able to track your driver and order every time you order, you're wrong. There's no warning ahead of time when a restaurant doesn't actually use a GrubHub driver, but instead uses an in-house delivery driver. You only find out AFTER you've placed your order and then you're left wondering where the food is and when it will arrive. So, when you check the GrubHub app it just says something along the lines of we can't track your order and that's all you get as far as information about your order/delivery status.
Likewise, you can't use that famous "$5 credit towards your next order" along with any type of restaurant promo/discount. Yup, that's right, you select one or the other because the app won't allow both.
It's VERY CLEAR that the company are a bunch of money hungry scammers that don't care about their customers nor about providing good service. Therefore, their customer support and drivers don't care about it either. It's a top down IDGAF attitude and affect. Honestly, ordering food with them is more of a headache than a convenience. All GrubHub wants is your money for the least bit of work possible. The owners/decision makers should honestly be ashamed of themselves. Choose another delivery service!

Horrible

Bad service all around. After placing an order from a restaurant that's 10 minutes away. The order took over an hour to be marked delivered on the app without actual delivery or a photo of the order being dispatched. After calling customer care, they placed an order that took another hour while the estimated time was around 30 minutes. I called to complain and cancel the charge that hadn't been delivered from 1230-330PM and was given 5$. I would rate GrubHub negative -5/5 if I could.

Insane markups

Check the restaurant menu price versus Grubhub as prices vary greatly.

Hunan Taste -- Denville NJ (Grubhub vs menu prices) + fees and more fees.
Sorry but being broke isn't convenient.

Shrimp roll 3.95 becomes 4.95
Egg roll 3.95 becomes 4.95
Gen Tso Chicken 19.95 becomes 22.95
Chicken & Broccoli 18.95 becomes 19.95

Then there is a 3.49 delivery fee and 6.86 service fee

Now the system recommends a $12 driver tip for a 10 min delivery on top of 10.30 in fees and $6 in mark ups on a $50 meal for 2.

Sorry but I am going back to old school -- I will call the order in and go pick it up (20 min). Guaranteed no food tampering, no cold food and save $12+10.30+6=$28.30 in fees on a $50 order.

Completely insane how greedy these companies have become.

The worst experience I have ever see. The same meal at the restaurant is 70 dollars through grub hub it's 105. Call customer support and they put you on hold or they just plain hangup. Order at 6ish 8 still no food turned around when I got someone one time the said it'd be another hour. Worst place ever.

Driver didn't deliver - claims they left it at the mail box?
This is a negative star review, it doesn't even deserve a 1 star.
Instruction for the order was to hand deliver the food order wort $$$.00. As I was tracking the order, I finally saw that it was delivered. Then I received a text message from "Casey" identifying themselves as the delivery driver. Casey stated that the food spilled all over the seat of her/his car complaining that the company (GrubHub) doesn't care about their workers (drivers). First off, where is the food, shouldn't delivery drivers care enough to ensure food is not leaking or spilling out before bringing it to their car. If incident happened in their car, shouldn't they first ensure food is secure before starting to drive? I replied to Casey asking where the food was? And What is the solution? No response from Casey, so I could only go to GrubHub to start the process of getting the refund. A nice evening ruined due to an incompetent delivery driver. GrubHub should have gone above and beyond to reorder our food at their expense. I hope Casey does better next time he/she has another food delivery, hope no one else has to fall victim due to Casey's careless and mishandling of the food. This happened in Kaneohe/Kailua Hawaii.

I am a generous tipper. I always make sure to tip at least 20-25% on any given order, but GrubHub has done NOTHING to address the issue where drivers mark orders as delivered but keep the order for themselves. Drivers never respond to text messages and calls and when I order a replacement, the amount of tip that goes to the NEW driver delivering the order is not the same as the previous one. GrubHub keeps the extra money you tipped for themselves and only gives the drivers $4. They should require all drivers to take a photo of the order before it is marked as delivered. My orders have been stolen multiple times.

Abysmal Customer Service

Most of the time that I've ordered from them, I've watched on the app as the driver will pick up my order, drive to the other side of town to pick up another order, then driver several more miles away to drop off/pick up another order, before delivering my cold, inedible, over priced food. When I reach out to their Customer Service, all they will offer is a $5 credit towards your next cold, disappointing waste of money.

I placed a large order for a company event. They called 20 minutes before the event to let us know that the order was cancelled due to an error with their system. We asked if they called the order in, and they said the restaurant was not picking up the phone. We called and they picked up on the 1st ring!
Not acceptable. First and last time using this service!
