I ordered dinner to be delivered on Sunday April 22. An hour and a half later I had to call and wait on the phone 20 minutes just to find out they would not be able to deliver. They could have shut down their website so people didn't order and restaurants didn't make food they could not get delivered but no GrubHub did nothing. No credits no nothing. Never Again

GrubHub is crap

Multiple times I've tried to used grubhub and something always goes wrong. We ordered food and grubhub continued to push the time back that our food would be delivered. Had to call the restaurant and they said our food had been ready for some time and that no driver had accepted the order. Also, the place was closing soon so I ended up going to get the food myself. We've been in the middle of ordering food from a restaurant, completed the order but the restaurant was not longer accepting online orders. You can't get the website to have it notice you if this happens in the middle of an order.
This service sucks. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Ordered from a very good and loved restaurant, received message quickly that food was here. Hmmm, fishy... I live in a secure building that requires driver to call me on building phone to let him in. No call so I contacted Eat24 and found out that driver attempted to deliverknocked on door rang bell, such a lie. Driver left with my food What a waste! I will recommend to all my friends to use GrubHub or UberEats NOT this place.

Extremely slow

I ordered from a local Mexican restaurant last night via GrubHub. It was not a complicated order. I placed the order at 8:24pm and supposedly they were "working on it" by 8:26pm. At that time, the website said that I should receive the food between 9:10pm-9:20pm. This was longer than I hoped but 45-55 minutes seemed OK. According to the website, it left the restaurant at 9:08pm. So if they hustled, they could make the original window. They did not. The delivery time kept getting later and later until the food eventually arrived around 9:42pm (22-32 minutes late relative to the original estimate, which was already long). I asked the driver about it and he said that he didn't leave the restaurant until 9:15 or 9:20 because the food wasn't ready. So someone is lying.

In any case, GrubHub allows you to get food from places that might not other wise deliver, but be prepared to wait for it, and not have any predictable time to eat.

I ordered 2 meals from Red Robin via Eat24. The meals did not come complete with all items. I called the Manager Nathan at Red Robin and he said he couldn't do anything I had to call the delivery service. I called Eat24 and they tried to give us a discount on our next order. REALLY? Thats like paying for a complete product and only getting half of it. I demanded some kind if refund for not gettting 2 full complete meals that we paid for. The customer rep agreed, but now I won't ever order via Eat24 again if that is how they do business with delivering incomplete meals, which according to the Red Robin Manager is not their responsibility even though they are the ones that prepared and packaged the meal. How ridiculous. I give them a big fat ZERO!

Worst company ever

If I could leave a zero I would. So we ordered dinner through grubhub, nothing complicated and we received our food 30 past the delivery time... sucks but we will live. We then found that it wasn't our whole order that we paid for... sucks but we will live. Here is where I am pissed, Grubhub did NOTHING! They just said you have to reorder. Are you kidding me? I ordered my food, paid for my food, waited longer then I should have for my food and now you want me to do it all over again because your driver forgot a bag! Customer service was complete crap, I didn't want a refund I wanted my food because now 4 out of 5 people were eating with our friend sitting there as we try to divide our food for them. Grubhub could have said it would reorder it and make it priority pickup... but no, not there problem I guess. We will never use this service again. Sticking with EAT24

Pick it up yourself

I placed an order for our firm at 9:37 a.m. for a noon delivery. The order was ready at the restaurant at 11:50 a.m. and waiting for the driver. At 11:15, the order was still ready at the restaurant and waiting for the driver. I called GrubHub and they called the driver. They said she was very rude to them and they were really sorry - she was leaving the restaurant right then. My order place at 9:37 a.m. for noon delivery, arrived at 12:30. Grub Hub offered a $10 coupon for $60 worth of food to arrive late and only warm.

Horrible

I placed my order at 6:35pm. Received a text saying the restaurant needs more time. Okay, that's fine. I've ordered from this place before. Normally they're really quick. Maybe they're slammed. Order is supposed to get here at 7:30-7:45. That's fine.

7:30 rolls around: nothing. 7:45: still nothing. Finally, at 8:20, I call the restaurant. They never received the order. If I want to wait an additional thirty minutes, they can get the food to me. I don't want to wait. I wanted my food when I ordered it two hours ago. It's not their fault. I'm not mad at them.

I contact customer support. The man I got was disinterested. He takes forever to "look into the issue" then comes back to say that they'll refund my money, but it will take 3-5 business days. GREAT. So I can't even order from another place. It takes them a minute to take the money, but forever to give it back. Now I'm hungry, tired, and it's almost bedtime, and I have no way to have dinner, so I guess I'm going to bed hungry.

From now on, I'll order from Grubhub.

When things go right with Grub Hub orders, it's totally awesome. You have your order in writing so you don't have to worry about miscommunications. You can reorder easily so you're a few clicks away from getting your go-to order from your favorite restaurant. They already have your cc #, so you don't even have to enter it.
In short, it's a great service when it works. The problem is that things go wrong. Delays, wrong orders, etc. No one should be surprised by mistakes, there are people involved and we all make mistakes. The problem is that Grub Hub has no way to report the errors through their app. The only way to report it is to pick up the phone and call them and start this strange process where you call them and then they tell a supervisor and then the supervisor contact the restaurant. Their entire value proposition, the reason they charge us and the restaurant so much money, is that they're supposed to make it easy on the user. Maybe they live in a world where takeout orders are always correct, but I don't. My orders are wrong at least 1 out of 5 times. There has to be an easier way to report mistakes than over the phone.

They don't care anymore. I was issued a well-deserved credit.

Then I got sick. Called back today (3 days after the expiration date) and I was slammed back by Amanda W. A "customer service" manager. Said I was 3 days late because it was 30-day credit. Bunk. These folks are no longer customer service oriented. I've ordered via GH at least 50 times over the last few years. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH GH. I'm here on sitejabber.com to find a replacement for Grubhub.

Three times I've tried this service and three times I've been disappointed (in two different states so I can't blame the area that we're in). Twice my order has been so late that it was cold, soggy, and inedible and ultimately refunded by GrubHub. The restaurants have all be fine to work with (one actually called to let me know that the order had been waiting on the driver so long the kitchen decided to remake it) but the delivery drivers and the customer service staff are useless. I won't be giving them a fourth chance.

Never again!

Used Eat24 to order from BajaFresh. Order was placed at 6:03, and BajaFresh is always very quick at preparing food. Original estimate was that food would be delivered about 6:40. Then it was 7:00. Then it was 7:30. Food arrived about 7:25 and was cold. Food either sat waiting for pick-up at the restaurant or was in the delivery van for a long time. Contacted Eat24 chat line. They offered $10 off next order or they would contact the restaurant about a refund. Restaurant was closed so they were going to follow up as soon as they opened. No follow-up, no refund. Will never again use this company.

Horrible timing

We've been waiting very long and we have tried to contact them but no one will answer and the only thing the phone does when you do call them is make horrible ear piercing screeching noises.

This is a ridiculously long amount of time to wait for food... restaurants were closing as I was still waiting and didn't have any other arrangements for food that night. It's a terrible experience.

Busy day at the office so I order some Indian food. They say it will be here around 12:45. Great. At 1:00 I start thinking wow where is my food, I'm starving! I track my order on the Grub Hub site, and wow it says it was delivered at 12:28. I go up to the reception desk, nope, not there. Receptionist calls down to the building lobby, no not there. I call Grub Hub and she informs me that the driver tried calling my cell at 12:30 and because he didn't reach me (because, you know, I was busy at work) he decided not to deliver the order. Because the point of ordering online and giving them my address to a building they can walk into and deliver stuff to is to make things MORE complicated and LESS convenient. Oh, and they won't refund the money. So I ask to talk to a supervisor and I'm currently on hold (it is now 1:20) and holding, and holding and holding. I guess they don't want me talking to a supervisor. So I'm leaving this review as well as reviews on every review site I can find and I'm disputing the transaction with my credit card. Grub Hub gets a big middle finger for this one.

Would not recommend

I ordered food for my family. The order took an hour to get our house. The ordered contained a 1/4 of what we ordered. I called customer service and they said sorry, we will refund your money in 7-10 business days and you can reorder your food tonight and we will deliver it to you for free. Completely inconvenient for my 2 kids and I. I would strongly recommend any other service than Grubhub. I would leave less than zero if there other options.

We were missing essentiel parts of our order. "unfortunately we are unable to offer a deliver of the missing items". They were "really sorry for the trouble". But "you will receive a refund of the missing items within 3-5 bankdays." "thank you for bringing this to our attention - have a great day". OMG that is really bad service. Mistakes happen - but then you just accept it redeliver the missing food to the customer if that is what the customers want. I'm never gonna use them againg, So disapointed.
