DO NOT USE GRUBHUB

This is the second time I have tried to order food with GrubHub. Both experiences were horrible to say the least. The first time the restaurant actually called me to see if I wanted to pick up the order myself because the driver never arrived. This time, my order delivery time got backed up 20 minutes because of the driver and they only delivered half of the order. When I asked where the chips and drinks were the delivery person said I did not order them, even though the store had called to ask what chips I wanted since they did not have the kind I ordered. After fighting with me about if I actually ordered them or not she pulls out her phone and said look it just says sandwich. Guess what word was right next to the sandwich? COMBO! Sent her back to get the rest of my order. 25 minutes later she shows up with 3 bags of chips and 3 drinks that are watered down and half empty! I contacted Grubhub and they did not seem all too concerned about it. Basically a "sorry about your luck" attitude. DO NOT USE GRUBHUB! Any businesses out there considering using them for delivery - DON'T DO IT! They will give you a bad reputation.
I would give them a 0 if I could.

1. Order delivery time kept getting delayed.

2. Finally called restaurant, the order had been sitting ready for pickup for 25 minutes

3. The driver, Raida, then marks the order as delivered before it even arrived to me.

4. The burger and fries were room temp. Not even warm. Not the restaurant's fault GrubHub kept pushing out the delivery window.

5. I first contacted customer service via chat with Omid. After explaining what happened, his only response was it arrived in the delivery window. He did not acknowledge that the delivery window kept getting pushed out by GrubHub, not the restaurant, and the dishonesty of the driver.

6. I then called Erickson, who was very courteous and offered to pass along the feedback and sent this coupon. Erickson was the only good part of my experience with GrubHub.

I will not use GrubHub and will recommend others to avoid as well.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

App was great but it stops there. Out of 10 orders, 1 was right and on time, 2 were over 2 hours late, and 7 were completely wrong.
By wrong I don't mean they gave me pickles when I ordered no pickles, but I got nothing I ordered and maybe everything I didn't. Order a salad and maybe get a pizza, or order sushi and maybe get a steak.
Customer care is a joke because there is no care for the customer. You call or "chat" about the screw up and you can only get $10 promo code, regardless what you spent because the restaurant refuses to acknowledge or refund the order. You spend 20 minutes on hold to get to someone to spend another 30 minutes on hold again to get screwed and disconnected without an explanation. So then you've wasted your time and money, twice, just so you can eat since you'll have to either cook or go out to get your food yourself, which defeats the purpose of the app.
Great app and concept but the company and customer care is the worst.

Eat24 is bad

I worked at a sushi place that took deliverys through eat24 and they always caused us the most trouble. Just very disorganized and who the f uses fax anymore. Eat 24 has the longest wait for people who ordered to go from us to get their food

The worst!

This is the worst food delivery service. Not sure if the company hires people or it just sends orders but both times I have used it the food has taken longer that 90 min to arrive. Once they even had the wrong address. NEVER AGAIN!

Order delivery on yelp which unfortunately is fulfilled by Eat24! We called the restaurant when we didnt receive our order an hour later to get an ETA. Turns out the restaurant never got our order through Eat24! This is my second horrible experience with Eat24 and will never order from anywhere where its fulfilled by them / grub hub!

We ordered at 10:16,12:30 food never came.

Refused to offer refund and said they would assign a new drive to bring me my 2 hour old food. Will never EVER use them again.

They are in the business of delivering food. They took the order. They said it was on it's way. Then they canceled it. I called to find out why. They had no drivers. No apology. No options. No alternatives. Just "yeah, that's what it says: No drivers available". I asked for a supervisor. After 15 min on hold, I called back. Now I'm told all the supervisors have gone home. Your money will be refunded in 3-5 business days. Sorry, that's all we can do. After explaining loudly for another 15 minutes that was not an acceptable answer, I was offered a $25.00 coupon on my next order (they seriously expected me to use them again?). Then, suddenly, there was a supervisor available, so they had not all gone home. The supervisor did apologize, but said they'd already started the refund and offered me a $25.00 coupon, so there there was nothing more to do. Expect, I'm hunger and it's too late to order anywhere else and I'm out of town, so I can't just cook. Unless you like not eating, I don't recommend ordering from here.

I used grub hub to place a delivery order for the first time, from a place I usually order from... but my order was delivered a half hour AFTER their allotted time frame. I wouldnt use this service again, and Since I prepaid I included a 20% that should have been way less. ALWAYS CALL & Always tip upon delivery

After waiting for an hour, I called Jack in the Box to ask if my order was on it way. The woman said the order was ready, but that there wasn't a driver to deliver it. I waited for 10 minutes before I contacted customer service, only to waist 30 minutes on the line without reaching a customer service representative. I got frustrated and wanted to cancel the order, but I couldn't. I called my bank to see if I could cancel the order, but they said they couldn't. I spent 10 minutes searching on the web to see if there was a way to cancel the order. I finally called the restaurant again. The woman told me a driver had finally picked up the order, but that he wasn't pleasant. 15 minutes later, I received a "Delivered" confirmation. I got nothing. I am now on the phone trying to reach customer service. 10 mins later, and no answer. Do yourself a favor and delete this app.

Better off doing pick-up or ordering from a restaurant that does their own delivery. When you add a third party and there is a problem, you have no recourse. Food delivered 2 hours after you placed it? Cold and inedible? You are SOL. No refund for you. If you contact GrubHub, be prepared to have your order number ready because even though they keep you holding in chat for 5 minutes while they "retrieve your order information," they can't do anything until YOU give them your order number. And then, they still can't do anything helpful. I was in chat for so long trying to get a refund, it became humorous. If you pay using PayPal and attempt a refund through them, good luck. I received a response from GrubHub that read, "The listing accurately described the item you received." I swear on my children I did not order cold and inedible food. Some restaurant item can be heated up easily, others not so much, ya know?

I can certainly see why they get so many terrible reviews. Perhaps if they screened their drivers more thoroughly, They'd make some headway in the 1 and 2 star area.

Awful scam!

Never got my food - driver claimed he couldn't find me and lost cell service... I live off of a Main Street in CT. Will NEVER use them again. In waited hours and ended up with no food. I get so angry every time I see the commercial on TV.

I placed an order for pizza to be delivered to my daughters birthday party. I received email confirmation of delivery. When I called the restaurant to confirm they did not have the order and told me the order would not be prepared in time. I had to re order and the driver was 45min. Late we had to go to a different restaurant to get pizza before the kids left the party. I received an email from grubhub stating it was their fault they did not send the order tot he restaurant and offered me a $10 gift card. I had over $100 in pizza ordered they admitted to screwing up - no apology only a $10 gift card for my inconvenience. Not worth the stress and hassle - call the restaurant directly much easier. Grubhub - great idea HORRIBLE business and even worst customer service.

Order already late, now a lame story that I canceled the order. Back 2 Uber Eats! That's what I get for chasing "Waterfalls" & trying something new. I will pay the $7 delivery fee to deal with competent individuals. The only thing ppl do right & swift is deduct the funds from your acct. All downhill after that

Ordered through GH. Order cancelled 38 minutes before delivery on a Friday night.
Reason: Not in delivery area. Spoke to restaurant, 4.4 miles away and they told me they had complained to GH not to include my zip for their restaurant. I know Dominos will be great, but nearly a hundred dollar order down the tube and they don't refund for three to five biz days. I won't use them again.

I had a horrible experience with one of the restaurants on their list. And because Grubhub did not do what i asked in the first place, I know have to dispute the charge with my bank. I believe Grubhub lied to me to begin with, rather than dealing with the order that was already 1 hr late. Then when i contacted them back, i was told to wait while they "reviewed the thread", then they ask me what my issue was. If they read the thread, they would have known. Literacy nor spelling, are their chat teams strong points.

Our company used to use Eat24 once a week for our office luncheons and parties. We rarely had any problems with deliveries. I believe Eat24 has recently been sold, and the last 3 times we've used them they have completely botched everything and left us stranded with no food for important client meetings. So maybe new ownership is terrible?

2 times the food was over an hour late.We called the restaurant, who said the food was ready but no driver had showed up. When we called EAT24 to complain and ask why, they said the driver had picked it up and was on the way (liars!). We said "We demand a refund but still need the food." The representative put us on hold and came back to say "Ok, we've cancelled your order, you'll have to place the order again." WHAT? How does that make sense? The food is already made, sitting at the restaurant, just send your driver to pick it up and bring it to us? Leaving us embarrassed and with no food to feed our clients, they offered a $25 credit (on a $150 bill), no apologies and no food. This has happened a few times recently, and at first we thought it was just a fluke and gave them another chance, but never again!

I decided to try Grubhub for the first time. I ordered food around 10am and the first available delivery was for 12:15pm which was fine. At 12:20pm when there was no food I decided to look to see why I hadn't received a text message like it said I would and to see when the food should be arriving. Apparently there was a glitch and my order was never placed. So I called to see what could be done about getting the order moved up in line since it was already late. And their response- oops. What did they do to fix this? NOTHING! That is what they offered to do. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Since I am now stuck with no time to go get something else I am stuck with waiting another 60-70 minutes to get food. With all of the delivery services out there these days I doubt I'll ever be back.

First time order gave me a promo code for $10 first order. Signed up, ordered, entered promo code, paid but $10 discount not deducted by GH. $52 order charged on my cc and confirmed by email from cc company.

Went to pick up food, restaurant says they never got the order. While I was in the phone with GH, GH called the restaurant and placed my order exactly as GH had it in their system. I then had to wait for the order to be prepared. GH could not get me the 10 credit to my card but only offered $5 off my NEXT order. Total time on the phone 15 minutes plus 15 more for the order to be prepared.

I called cust service who could not credit me the $10 but would only give me a discount on my next order. I asked to speak to supervisor. They were not available and someone would call me back. 24 hrs later, no call.

NEXT ORDER? YEAH RIGHT!

Absolutly the worst. Ordered over 100.00 worth of food to be delivered only to have it not delivered. Worst yet is that they had to cancel my order because one side was unavailable. And I wont get the cash back for 3-5 days. Guess we go hungry tonight.
Was transfered to a manager only to be told one was not available.
