I love Groupon! I have bought many things of Groupon but just make sure and do your research on the product you are purchasing to make sure it is exactly what you want. We constantly are looking on Groupon for good deals for restaurants as well, we get to try new places that maybe would of never gone and for a fraction of the cost as well! Such a great way do and try new things.
Love this site. Not only can you get great deals on things to do, but also on beauty needs and all kinds of goods.
Mostly they sell crap - you can get lucky when buying things from them. Considering they are already very, very cheap and take 50% of from the merchant it's more of a switch and bait operation with exceptions. Call centers again outsourced and you get lucky if you understand what they are saying.
Addictive. Great deals. I have ordered several items from groupon and only one of those i waited for several weeks to ship even though i paid for 2-3 day shipping. So i waiting a good ttwomonths before contacting groupon themselves. But as soon as i did within 24 hours i got responses asking whats going on and if i would like for them to contact seller or refund my money or asking did i want a credit. As soon as i told them my preferred method my credit was on my groupon account within 72 hours. The only thing i do have to say though is to make sure you read everything when it comes to false advertisements on jewelry. Alot do say gold or silver then you click on link and read about it and it is only just plated. But the website itself is fantastic i give it 4 out of 4 stars. Great deals. Lots of great offers. Ive even gone on vacation with groupon offers and had no problems at all. Also very easy to redeem
I purchased a groupon for laser hair removal ($900+). The company I purchased the laser hair removal from didn't respond when I called for an appointment (I called three times). I contacted groupon for a refund. They said they would refund me back the $900+ to groupon bucks. When I asked for a refund back to my credit card, as I still want laser hair removal... And from a company I know and trust- they said they'd look into it. I've followed up with them four times with no response from groupon. Apparently I'm stuck with $900+ in groupon bucks?! Based on groupons customer service I never want to shop with them again. This is the worst customer service ever! I've just made a $900+ mistake. If I can give anyone any advice about groupon... DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM GROUPON, unless you know and trust the company you're purchasing from.
I have been trying for over a year to use the website and app. Everytime I want to buy something it does not work. Charges my credit card, then says I have to wait for a refund for 10 days... Then to actually buy acting I have to go through their HELP desk which totally sucks. Emails, Calls, Live Chats... Does ANYONE WORK HERE? Customer Service is WORST EVER. Their Shareholder have NO idea how bad this site is...
I placed an order for a groupon 6 days ago. I applied a discount at checkout which took the savings off but when I submitted my order I was charged in the full amount. I emailed customer service immediately afterwards. The next morning I received a reply asking me for the exact discount code and to forward the email that offered it to me. Okay done. Never heard a reply. The next day I tried the online chat system. The representative said the discount code was expired. I explained that it was by that point but not when I entered it. He ignored my case. I reiterated the total I was under the impression that i would be paying again and again. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He kept me on a lengthy hold and then said he would give me the discount in groupon bucks. That was not acceptable to me. I again requested to speak to a supervisor. He ignored by request and proceeded to tell me that groupon does not process refunds. I told him I knew that was false information. Again, I requested to speak to a supervisor. He ignored and explained the non refund policy he claimed that groupon has. I again demanded I speak to a supervisor ASAP and to stop ignoring my request. He then said he would have a supervisor contact me within 48 hours. Seriously?!
After the chat ended I decided to call in. I was on hold for about 20 mins listening to their recorded explanation of refund processing time. You mean the refunds your representative claims you don't offer? That's funny. Finally got another rep on the phone that could not help me because my ticket was in escalations from my chat. She said I would be contacted in 24 hours. Still nothing.
I emailed and explained my frustrations with this pathetic excuse of what they call themselves customer service. I received an email back a few hours later saying I would get an email back after a supervisor reviews my ticket. What is going on? Can no one provide any help or resolution around here?
Again. Groupon you are pathetic. You owe me $$. Quit with the games and do something about it. Your customer service reps are terrible. Your supervisor is non existent or somehow even more terrible than your reps. I've never been more disgusted with a business. I am absolutely 100% done with this despicable company. You guys are absolute thieves.
Completely misleading and dishonest! - All three dresses received are nothing like the ones ordered. Fabric is totally different, cheap rubbish fabric. Front bodice was sewn at the back of the dress! Unbelievable! Sizes were totally incorrect. Ordered a long dress, they sent a short one, ordered a long sleeve, they sent sleeveless. After sending emails and explaining, they only agreed on 50% refund, which we haven't received yet! DO NOT ORDER FROM NINECOLOURS!
The tour (Symphony tour in Dubai) service I bought from Groupon was unhelpful and right out rude. It wasted one day of my trip and my complaint went nowhere with Groupon. I am very unhappy customer and I don't recommend shopping from them.
I had to take the time to communicate with you regarding the customer support I've received since I place my 9 orders on 7/30/2016. Both calls and chats have been abysmal. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I spent 4 hours on the phone just this morning with various representatives describing the issue only to be over talked and ignored. Half the time I was speaking with people that I couldn't understand because the had very limited English speaking skills. I was given a ticket number and other useless information that rendered me unable to process orders. Does this mean that you don't want my business anymore? Because I can't place an order because the system keeps changing my shipping address. I chatted with someone about this and they had only ridiculous suggestions.
When i was checking out my total was $10 and it said 4-7 business days for delivery. I have been waiting 1 MONTH! I am realizing as i track it everyday it never moved from preparing to ship. I am a very angry customer and now i am just a very angry person (i am not a customer anymore.) never ordering from their again!

So here is latest cheating from another giant. Groupon disabled my account due to inactivity that too without any warning. When it was enabled again on request, I see all my groupon bucks are gone / voided. Here is the response I get from groupon support team.
"Unfortunately, we were unable to reinstate the Groupon Bucks because your account was deactivated due to inactivity and the Groupon Bucks was voided."
So friends - Be careful when dealing with groupon.
Just received two pairs of what I thought (as stated on Groupon) were freshwater pearl earrings. NOPE, they are NOT... also, the backs were loose in the package & will not fit on the post. Cheap, imitation sold as otherwise, might as well throw them away earrings!

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
