I ordered a item & fedx delivered to wrong address, Groupon reimbursed me for the item very quickly. Call Fedx about filing a claim, never heard from them again.
I have bought several group ons and they are a wonderful way to save. Unfortunately I have had to use their customer service but they are one of the best cs I have ever dealt with.
I highly recommend this site for anyone who wants to save.
Sincerely,
Rosfleis
Back when Groupon started I used to find some pretty interesting deals. Now you ha a lot of misguiding offers that end up making you pay what the product/service actual value, sometimes even more than you can find from other sources.
We purchased a Groupon for a favorite restaurant. The restaurant closed shortly after our purchase. Groupon will not refund. We have contacted their customer service again and again. Still no refund. Terrible customer service. Please do not buy from Groupon.
Some offers appear OK but a lot are just a loss leader which gets you onto yet another database. Groupon constantly badgers you with offers and nuisance e-mails. Avoid unless you like an overflowing inbox.
Just for my own curiosity, I was taking a free MOOC at coursera.org about complex analysis, you know like about the Mandelbrot set and Cauchy-Riemann equations. But not being super smart, I needed help! I found a grad student nearby who charged $50/hour so I hired him for some help. But then I found KJS Tutoring which had an active Groupon going on. I joined Groupon, got their promotional discount for first-time Groupon users, then bought the KJS Tutoring Groupon, and voila! I have a two hours of very affordable (almost free) tutoring in a difficult math subject via Skype from KJS Tutoring!
Love that Groupon.
You will have to read alot of reviews first about the products or services that you want to buy the groupon for, but if you do your research right you get to save a lot. I have been using them for the past 5 years successfully.
I would not recommend this spa. I asked if all their massage therapists were registered massage therapists and told yes. I booked a forty-five minute massage that was very poor. When I asked for the signed bill with the therapists licence number I was told that they only had one working there and I had needed to book a hour season with her. I felt scammed out of my money. I noticed they also do high pressure selling for packages and creams.
The only thing I don't like about Groupon is that they didn't sell to Google and lost a billion dollars. Smooth Move. Other than that - love the products
I have bought several items at groupon in just about every category. From jewelry, to towels, sheets, and pet supplies. I can honestly say that out of everything that I've bought over the years, I have only had to return one thing! I had bought a pack of velvet hangers and the very first one I used broke. I notified them and they sent me a link for a return label and was immediately reimbursed for the full purchase price! It's pretty hard to beat some of these deals and with the no hassle returns, how can you lose? Maybe I've just been lucky, but after all the items I've purchased I tend to think that they sell quality goods at great prices! I've bought many pet supplies at groupon and the quality is awesome and you can't beat their prices. I've seen the same items at pet stores and just have to smile when I see their prices compared to what I bought them for. I know I'll continue to shop Groupon without a doubt!
I had an absolutely horrific experience with Groupon. I recently purchased a deal via Groupon for a laser hair removal treatment. I made sure to read the fine print, in order to make sure I was purchasing the correct treatment area. I made an appointment and requested a day off from work (hence, losing paid time). On the day of my appointment however, the merchant called and notified me that the service area would cost more than twice as much (200 more than I paid) since Groupon made a mistake in presenting the offer. I after talking to 4 different people and staying on the phone for over and hour, no resolution was brought. I spent $174, they offered a refund, and however, I wanted to get the service. I read the deal correctly and paid for and should receive what was promised. The previous representative offered me $20 for my inconvenience and the later representative said he couldnt honor that because it was not noted in my reference account. That is two times in order that Groupon said something and didnt deliver it. The representatives were also very rude and kept putting me on hold without ever notifying me. This is extremely unprofessional. I am never giving any business to Groupon again.
I try and got a good deal at a restaurant carinos,,. The second time I couldn't believe what I was paying for / Windshield for a jeep at AAA on gesener houston texas but it was just a liar no windshield for my jeep, at that price. And they still advertising, so new customers bite the hook.
I have ordered from this site and been quite satisfied with the service
A scam company out of Texas is running ads for garage door service on groypon in Cincinnati. They are on there as Cincinnati garage door experts. They ARE NOT the legitimate Cincinnati garage door experts that is and has been registered with the state of Ohio. The parent company is Fox garage doors operating under hundreds of copycat and fake names across the country. Over 30 names in the cincinnati and Dayton markets alone. Most of their ratings on Groupon is from fake accounts that they set-up and bought themselves, they operate with subcontractors working on commission only, they are not permitted to leave a residence with a service ticket under $400 without calling the office which in turn will call you. I operate a door company, not one they have copied yet, I've had many customers tell how they had to threaten to call the police just to get them to leave, I've seen openers sabatoged to appear defective when in fact they are not. The most common trick I've seen has been switching #1 wall control wire to the #3 terminal allowing power to still show at the control but not function. Groupon refuses to remove them from their site, probably because it's nationwide, it's good money and they are not the ones getting ripped off.

This is really an excellent app.It is a complete package for foodies n ppl love exploring new food places.#loved it
BUYERS BEWARE WHEN PURCHASING FROM GROUPON. I recently learned the following shameful things about Groupon's business practices:
1) Their posting process allows very convincing yet fraudulent deals to be posted on the site. In my case it was a laser tag deal for Stratum Laser Tag that Stratum said had been posted without their consent by an unknown source.
2) If you have purchased one of these fraudulent deals, they will remove the posting from their site but will NOT bother to notify you that you purchased a fraudulent deal. Nope. Instead they will quietly allow you, in ignorance, attempt to redeem a fake voucher in person. Not only will they waste your money, they will waste your time and good faith.
3) Groupon will then refuse to refund you because the item was "final sale." How can it be final sale when there was no product "sold" in the first place? Absolutely ludicrous. The money spent on said fraudulent deal can't even be rolled over for face-value credit in store or elsewhere. As far as they're concerned, it's just gone.
I suggest to you, if you see a deal you'd like to snatch up, to call the business directly before purchasing the Groupon to verify the deal is legitimate. Do not use the phone number listed on the Groupon posting. Look it up on the business' official site and call from there. And if something goes wrong do not expect Groupon to have your back :( Very disappointing as I have been a HUGE fan of the site and had referred business to them to purchase this Groupon---which you'd think they would appreciate in a customer, but there's been no customer appreciation shown here.
Groupon's customer service was awesome with my case!. They were kind, friendly and very open to help. I wish all customer service from all companies behave like this!. Coupons were created to make your life better and Groupon guys knows how to Rock it!. I will get coupons with Groupon's forever!
As with most of these discount sites, customer service is inconsistent and the deals always seem to have a "catch".
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
