Someone bought us a groupon gift for latin cabana restaurant in Lic queens. I called the restaurant around 12.05 pm friday to announce we were coming for dinner and will be using a Groupon. The gentlmean said ok just get there by 9pm.
We arrive by 8.4pm and mention to the male waiter we weRe there for dinner and will be using a groupon. He said groupon can only be used Mon to Thursday only. I said it does not mention that on groupon. In addition I spoke to someone earlier I will be using a groupon. Only then he allowed us to use groupon.

Used their coupon code but transaction failed. I won't be able to use the code again beacuse It's considered used even though the transaction is failed.
Went to buy a groupon and it said "how many" - liked the deal, so put down 2. Merchant said the fine print says only one per customer. Why does groupon offer
"quantity" option if you can only use one? Their response - read the fine print. I am now out $83. New to area, so the "give it to a friend" advise from groupon doesn't quite work. Ugh! Been using them for over 10 years - the least they can do is give a credit or something.
When I signed up as a Groupon Merchant to offer groupon deals, I did it as a way to give my business a jump start. I started a campaign, and was advised to offer 70% off of my services. Now, I am further along in my business, do not need Groupon anymore, and have paused the campaign (didn't see any way to take the campaign down). When I called Groupon over a year later to see if they could help me take the campaign down, I was told that they will not remove a campaign, nor will they remove my account. This is BAD for business, as it now looks like I continue to offer massive discounts to my clients and makes me look desperate for business. The reason it's so bad is that it STILL shows up in internet search engines when someone searches for my business... EVEN THOUGH IT IS "PAUSED". Groupon, please fix this. There should absolutely be a way to take down a campaign once you've decided you no longer want to offer it (say, a YEAR later). Or to remove your account from Groupon Merchant. I'm really disappointed. I don't know how this helps you all at all, but it's very discouraging on a business's end.

While they advertise some unique items, they also are overpriced. If you shop around, chances are you will find a better deal in a number of other places.
I save so much money using this app. We buy everything from cell phone chargers to pizzas to mini golf... our savings is unbelievable. The only problem I had once was I bought a Groupon for tanning and I pulled up to the store to use it and they were out of business. They apparently closed up real fast. I called Groupon and they gave me a refund and were great about it.
Please do NOT purchase the Borgata Groupon. You are NOT able to select your arrival date and after you call the Borgata to confirm they have ample availability they decline your date upon recalling. The process makes you purchase the Groupon and is a marketing strategy that does not benefit the consumer. Now I am stuck with a night in Atlantic City and this is not a place where I would choose to visit. The supervisiors were rude, sharp, and nonaccommodating. The solution was simple all the Borgata had to do is offer me a room at a lower rate given they CHOOSE to do BUSINESS with GROUPON. I even said downgrade my room. At one point in the conflict the associate refused to put his superior on the phone and stated, " I am just trying to save you time... The answer is NO". Interesting I am not sure I ever learned that strategy in consumer marking.?!
I as well hold Groupon accountable because they are misleading the consumer and that is irresponsible to internet consumers. Lastly, you would think a Borgata would want to do anything to please the costumer but clearly that is not the case. What ever happen to the costumer is right and politely do what ever you can to resolve the issue? I think the Borgata has accountablity. I wonder why the Borgata is doing business with Groupon? I thought th Borgata is was a stellar hotel. You would think they could account for their own marketing not bring in a secondary to met their goals. The Borgata is just a big name in a washed up town!
Atlantic City is a pit to begin with and if you think about it the folks they have to employ would be residents of the town. GROSS!

Bought an engagement ring, proposed 2 months later, fiancé took to jeweler only to find out that it was missing a diamond and that the 1.5 carat center stone was clairity enhanced. The description did not (and still does not!) state that the diamond is fractured filled. Groupon would do nothing since outside the 30 return policy. Great way to start a life with someone. Thanks Groupon.

You've got to swim through hundreds of offers! Then insulted by those "silver" "gold" and "platinum" offers that you cannot bypass! There are bothersome!
My daughter got me started with Groupon when she and her boyfriend bought Bimini Cruise tickets from them. They were VERY happy with their $300ish (for both!) cruise. I have place 2 orders with them and was very satisfied with what I got. I did not have to use the customer service services. They would have gotten 5 stars if they didn't contribute to my full e-mail inbox 4-7 times a day.

Have bought many items and deals for years! Highly recommend giving Groupon a try! Especially love all the awesome restaurant deals and my favorite to buy are massage and spa deals!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
