Through Groupon I bought ticket to Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto. I didn't notice in fine print that they charged me in US dollars not in Canadian. When I got my Credit card statement I found that I paid Groupon $ 7 Canadian dollars more for each ticket than I will be pay in Canada! What the kind of sale it is?! I lost my money. When I called Groupon they explained "Sales is final" no refund! Final sales?! Is it last item on shelf for sale?! Disgusting! Never using Groupon again.
Bought a smart watch from groupon arrived on time all is good except that it didn't work... will find out how return goes will review that process when it is completed
There is no customer service anymore. This nonsense "chat" if you even get that far is a joke. The hang up on you when they don't want to deal with your problem anymore. Impossible to get someone to deal with your problem again. Then they send a email... glad we resolved your problem. Total joke. The have no credibility anymore, and take NO responsibility for their vendors at all. It is a absolutely the most frustrating waste of time. Go somewhere else who cares about their consumers.
Save yourself problems and do not purchase tickets from Groupon. I purchased 3 tickets more than a week ago for an event tomorrow and groupon charged me upfront. When I went to redeem the tickets, the event company did not recognize the transaction. As a result, I had to buy tickets last minute for me and my kids. Their customer service is overseas and they have absolutely no tools or authority to resolve issues so I wasted almost a full day continually calling and attempting a resolution. I finally had to give up and charge back on my credit card. Take my advice and stay away!
Groupon had a massage with Heavenly Hands in Jupiter... I cannot say enough about the massage. She knew exactly where to rub me. Thrilled. Worth every cent. Thank you!
If I could score no stars then I would, Customer service is shocking, I was missing parts for a bed I had ordered and it is very difficult to get this resolved, to make this worse I am currently pregnant and have had to sleep on the floor. This is unacceptable and will be making sure everyone knows.
I seem to have problem after problem with their website... some of the worst customer service you'll ever encounter... they don't help at all.
I haven't been shopping with Groupon for long so I can only say that I love a bargain and these guys are good at finding them for me, whatever I want if there is a great bargain to be had somewhere these guys will have it. Well done Groupon.

Bought an iPhone screen repair it said Groupon didnt expire until 2018 so I did not go for the repair until that weekend which was 4 days after. When I arrived the store owner explained I accidentally bought iPhone 6 instead of 6s screen repair. I tried to edit my order. I contacted Groupon customer service and they said I only had 3 days to realize my mistake and therefore they are sorry I lost $69.99. Thankfully the store owner let me pay him for difference although he said he would lose money from Groupon. In any case BEWARE!
Bought a black with Silver hardware Michael Kors handbag for my mother as a gift and when it came two weeks later from China, what a surprise! It was a counterfeit knock off with two broken zippers, black and gold and the MK was upside down! $89.95 later, Groupon chat (no phone lines anymore) told me they are a third party and to contact the company. I did six times and no answer. I then emailed Groupon so I had documentation about 28 times in two weeks. They all started with we are so sorry for your frustration,,,, they do not take accountability for the companies they represent. Only after I said I was seeking an attorney and threatened to put this all over social media and the news did they refund my money and only because the business that the represented, never responded back to them either. So crazy!
Worst customer service I've ever received. I accidentally bought to hotel reservations for the same night, cause the first time I waited a few hours and never got a confirmation so I tried buying it a second time. Then both of them came through and they wouldn't refund me for one of them, so that's $250 down the drain. SUCH A SCAM. Not only that but they have no call support, so I had to live chat with someone, who pretty much told me "too bad."
I found the Groupon site user friendly, it is important to always read the fine print.
Would recommend Groupon.
Groupon falsely advertised a Janet Jackson promo. After trying to order the tickets, I was informed my order was cancelled since the tickets were no longer available. However, hours later I received an email about the same deal. When I went to the site the offer was still available. Again the order failed. This happen another 2 times. Groupon supervision was unhelpful and not understanding. I wouldn't order concert tickets from Groupon again.
You need to pay attention to the small print. If you do it is still a good site which offers great deals. I keep coming back and I guess that explains a lot.
I tried to purchase a deal for $10 and twice they said transaction failed. I did a live chat with their customer support and all she could see was a "General Decline" error and said the bank would NOT let them collect $10 from my card. Well, I was on the phone with my bank while I was on live chat and the bank doesn't even have a "General Decline" for any thing, they would have a reason if it had been declined but THEY never declined it. I guess Groupon doesn't want to admit maybe they made a mistake and give me the deal I was trying to get. For what little bit of money you save with Groupon, it's not worth the headache.
I had heard that Tim Allen (TA) was coming to perform comedy in SLC, but I thought he was a little too rough around the edges. About a week before the performance, groupon sent out an add for TA and it contained several customer reviews saying how family friendly his show was and how much they enjoyed it. My wife and I decided to pay the $40.00 each and enjoy the show. TA was about as filthy and vulgar as he could be and dropped f-bombs about every other sentence. When he started in on how much he hated kids, interspersed with f-bombs, we'd had enough and walked out... 10 minutes into his set. I'll do better research next comedian, but I really feel like groupon deliberately set us up and were deceptive in their ad. I've never had reason to question them before, so this was a big disappointment.
I have never seen a fraud like this type of Groupon deal. You buy fidget spinner from Target 2 for $5 and Groupon get together with fraud people and they sell this coupon for $6 and you go to their website and they make you pay another $10 to engrave on it and charge you $10 for postal on each which total $20 postage. Then they will use one postage stamp and post the 2 items they already charged you $10 each. Total of ($20.00). Tell me which fraud greater than these. I contacted Groupon multiple times and they refused to act, which made me believe collaboration to defraud the public. Stay clear. When my items arrived they were not assembled. All the parts were separate.
If you are considering purchasing from Groupon, I do not suggest unless you like to get ripped off and enjoy not having customer service. I have tried to contact them the way they wish... absolutely useless. During my live chat the representative was unhelpful. Groupon does not have a customer service line and because of this they abused their customers. I wish I could say that I have gotten hung up on! Rather, I have "chat specialist" that continuously disconnect themselves for every issue they don't want to deal with. Groupon, I am disappointed in both your customer service and professionalism.
Heads up. This is the message you will receive if you come to any problems they don't want:
"I really want to assist you further however, its been a while since your last response and I may need to disconnect this chat to assist other customers"
You WILL receive this message if you don't come in contact with the right person & sadly your chances are rare.
That happened 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for my money or my item.
Please tell me a solution for my order the lady say in the chat she can't do anything for me?
So what happen with my money and also she say she can't change the delivery address at this time but I wrote to Groupon the same day of my purchase by live chat and email as well.
Please return the £228 to me ASAP.
Groupon gives a three day only refund. How are you supposed to know if a Groupon you purchased is a scam if Qian's Day Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico won't return your phone call? I purchased a foot massage, and this company will not answer their phone, and will not return phone calls. Groupon should be held responsible for scammers. Groupon needs to make sure a company is valid, and actually in business. As far as I'm concerned; Groupon owes me $45.00 for a foot massage that I paid for that was OFFERED by GROUPON. Groupon is a scam of it own.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
