I had a permanent eyeliner groupon. When I had the work done it literally peeled off within a week. I could not get a refund from Groupon or Vendor. I'm out $141 & that type of thing has happened before. Spend more money on bad groupons than I have saved. Have decided to never use it again.
I ordered a cordless shark vacuum cleaner for $197.98 + tax. What I got was a 4 x 6 envelop that had a piece of packing bubble and a blue note saying thanks. There is no phone number, address, email address for the vendor. I called Groupon and they basically said "contact the vendor, there is nothing we can do", yet the charges on my credit card came from Groupon. Beware, Groupon is a scam!
We had 4 Corners Complete Care clean our carpets today. He did an amazing job surpassing our expectations. Would recommend them to clean your carpets. Great customer service.
Groupon uses to have good dining deals. Now, most restaurant using groupon allow only customers to order from a more expensive menu. Thus, what you save with groupon you pay later. Then, I do not need to buy groupon; just go to the restaurant of my choice and select what to eat including their specials. Also, the quality of some of the listed restaurants is in doubt; check with tripadvisor before buying.
If you see the below 2 images you will can easily see how they fool around.
For an adult 30 min biking they show 250 and their price as 109 where they make you
Be-lie-ve that you are saving 56%. But if you look at the second image the cost is 120. So you save only 10 bucks and not 141 (250-109). This is how they take you for a ride thinking you have a deal.
I purchase a Samsung phone through Groupon. The phone stated "free returns" and "1 year warranty". The phone arrived 10 days later and didn't work. I took it to my phone carrier a week later, then they scheduled me another appoint with an expert 2 days later. They said the phone was the problem, so I reached out to groupon and asked to return the defective phone. They said I needed to contact the 3rd party company that sent the phone and provided me with only an email. I have since emailed twice and have yet to get a response. So I emailed Groupon again and they refuse to do anything to help saying I need to directly deal with the 3rd party but has no phone number for them, only an email. So groupon takes my money but refuses to assist with the return.
I have used Groupon in the past, but will no longer take the time to visit the site based on changes made. Currently there is not way to simply search restaurant deals-- that is, actual discounts. Instead, the only way to search restaurant deals now includes mixed among the discount offers an endless number of restaurants offering the... deal?... of ordering their food delivered, at full price, via Grubhub. Page after page after page of "results" full of offers for restaurants to deliver food. So... I know I can search Grubhub if I want some full price food delivered. That's not why I visit Groupon. I don't want to have to search through endless pages telling me this, when I didn't want to know. I get it: it is profit-motivated advertisement. If my reaction is any indication, though, it's not going to be very profitable. I'm taking Groupon off of my radar and simply won't visit anymore.
I had a terrible experience with GroupOn. In November 2018, I reserved a hotel through GroupOn (anticipating attending a graduation in May 2019). This week (April 2019), I decided to call the hotel to confirm my reservation, and they had no record of the reservation. Subsequently, I reached out to GroupOn via live chat. The representative assured me that they would contact the hotel to confirm the reservation, and I had no need to worry. The next day, I called the hotel again. There was still no record of a reservation. I reached out to GroupOn via live chat again. I asked for a refund, and was denied. The representative assured me that they would contact the hotel. However, I came to know that the hotel was now booked because of the upcoming graduation. How was the representative so sure that I would have a room? They asked me to be patient, and they would "escalate" this with their priority team. Nevertheless, I cannot have a refund. So now I paid $199.98 for empty promises? I am extremely disappointed in their services, especially after being asked to be patient. I planned this trip in November (5 months ago). While writing this review, they finally issued a refund. Now I have no where to stay despite "booking" this hotel last year. They are very disorganized, and I advise that you be careful while planning vacations, trips, dates, etc. through use of GroupOn.
I have used Groupon to advertise my business in the past and the only reason I would give them any stars is because their platform engages a large audience. Beyond that, Groupon operates a business that is not only unethical, it is crossing the lines of engaging in illegal practices. I strongly urge any business thinking of working with Groupon to use great caution! Groupon allowed an advertisement to be posted using my company name and business location without my permission. Not only did they post an ad without consulting (I operate a sole proprietorship) but they absolutely refused to take it down when I notified them. I was told that as long as someone operates as a sub-contractor, they can advertise using any business location they chose. Groupon did not request or receive any documentation to show an affiliation with my company or location. When I spoke to Groupon and told them that I did not have a sub-contractor working with me nor did I want anyone advertising that they worked out of my business location. I was told there was nothing that they can do. They refused to take it down. I am baffled that Groupon allows anyone to sell vouchers without requiring proof that they are in fact a legitimate owner or employee of the advertised establishment. Not only is Groupon promoting false advertising, they are potentially creating false reviews for an unknowing company. I truly hope that The Better Business Bureau looks into this practice further as it could be detrimental to small businesses.
This place is a joke. Nobody in customer service speaks or understands English well, told me my money is there but will not get refunded. Only thing they offer is credit. I want my money not no credit for a future purchase.
Groupon has refused to deliver a parcel, to just off the qld coast and cancelled my order without contacting me beforehand.
They are the 1st online shopping store that I've heard of that doesn't deliver Australia wide.
My home is easier to access than outback rural Australia, Australia Post carry goods here 5 days a week to our Island post office, yes we have a full functioning post office here. Goods can also be placed on barges and ferries and met at the jetty, couriers also come here with bulk loads.
I ordered goods that were a need for a renovation, not a want, I ordered in good faith that when I entered my full address I was still able to utilize the delivery option, and pay.
The local council already treat people here as 2nd class citizens, now I've found and online store that does the same. Shame on you Groupon.
They don't ship items in timely manner. I bought things more than a month ago but up to now I have not received them
The idea of a lot of people pitching in to get a discount is good, but Groupon is so shady it's not worth it. They have no moral compass and will hide hidden fees into their fine print. Then not allow refunds after you find the hidden fees. Products will be broke and they won't return it. The local deals are merchants that don't want to use them and make you feel awkward. It's just a bunch of junk just to try save a couple bucks. My overall feeling is the company itself is ran by scammers.
NO PHONE # IF YOU HAVE "ANY" ISSUES, YOU WILL END UP EMAILING SOMEONE IN INDIA WHO READS FROM A PRE WRITTEN SCRIPT AND THEY KEEP REPEATING THE SAME $#*!... WE ENDED UP CALLING "DISCOVER CARD" AND THE REP THERE SAID THEY GET COMPLAINTS ALL THE TIME ABOUT "GROUPON" RIPPING PEOPLE OFF... THEY WILL CHARGE YOU MORE ON YOUR CREDIT CARD THAN THE ADVERTISED PRICE.(COMPLETE BAIT N SWITCH COMPANY) WHY BUY ANYTHING FROM A COMPANY WITH NOOOO PHONE # OR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE? GLAD WE HAD DISCOVER WATCHING OUR BACKS... HORRIBLE COMPANY, IF YOU DIG ALITTLE DEEPER YOU WILL FIND OUT THEY HAVE BEEN SUED BY SEVERAL STATES FOR RIPPING CONSUMERS OFF...
I bought a Groupon, for 6 sessions but only got 1. Why? Because Neo Aesthetics cancelled my appointment because they can't maintain staffing, couldn't accommodate my schedule, are rude and unprofessional. I left several messages for the owner and no one has bothered to call me back. On top of everything Groupon refuses to refund my money claiming that the Groupon was "redeemed" even though I paid for 6 sessions and only got 1! Now I'm forced to have my credit card company fight it out with Groupon to get my money back. I say, don't waste your money or time, you end up paying more in the long run.
Worst website I've ever used!. Put in details hit confirm botton and confirm button doesn't do anything. Also "contact us" button takes you to FAQ again. So no contact with problem of not being able to book a groupon voucher. A high school kid could make a better job of setting up a booking site. So I'm left unable to book my groupon gift and no way of contacting Groupon-GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT!
Very disappointing experience which ruined my morning. I advanced paid £20.95 each for 2 pedicures (£42) through Groupon, but when I arrived found my appointment slots had been cancelled out. She said she did not make any money on the Groupon appointments and had given our slots to regular customers who pay her more. She refused to find another appointment slot for me and said it was Groupon's fault and basically pushed us out the door. The rudest salon experience I have ever had by a long shot. It seems she uses Groupon to fill in empty slots and feels justified to cancel and not make restitution because she says 'most the profit goes to Groupon, and I give appointments to my regulars first" -- clearly she resented how little she gets paid. As the owner of the business, it did not make sense to me why she sabotaged our goodwill by refusing to honour our pre-paid appointments, blaming Groupon. Exercise caution using this salon, because if she cancels on you, you as customer have to do all the administration (taking nearly two hours with Groupon so far and as yet unresolved), then having to contact credit card company to get the charges removed. An utter disaster for us -- ruined our morning. I'm remain out £41.90 because of her dispute with Groupon -- we did nothing wrong but it is us that has to fight to get our money back.
I've purchased many things over the years with overall satisfaction until recent. The last Year has been filled with false ads, fake product, awful to no customer service, horrible, unscrupulous merchants, etc... Buyers beware & Proceed with Caution!
Groupon has become cheats, thieves, crooks and can't be trusted at all. I made a purchase at a specific price and they are billing me more than the purchase price and the have no interest or care at all. I cancelled my membership and suggest you do they same before they screw you next.
I have used Groupon for many years for personal deals & gifts, both in the UK and in Spain but my last experience has left me very reluctant to use again.
Purchased a deal for my mum for Christmas of three beauty treatments in a salon in Worsley, Lancashire. When she tried to book, they would only allow express treatments (not stated on the advert) and were extremely inflexible, even when my mum offered to only redeem for the two that she wanted. They also asked for the voucher upfront so they could claim the payment.
When I approached Groupon, they simply offered a refund in credits to spend on another offer. Poor customer service, no interest in retaining busines and no offer of compensation or apology. Will not be using again after this and would urge others to use Wowcher, LivingSocial or another competitor.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
