My overall experience with groupon has been really good.
Bought a painting class twice for $25 wonderful class had a great time, going to another one Saturday
Had one shopping experience without any problems and one with major issues. Customer service took 6 days to respond the first time and then several days more over the course of multiple emails to finally answer my question... or so I thought. After taking some time to cool down before I contacted customer service again they finally resolved my problem. Just really disappointed that they claim to respond to customer's questions within 24 hours and failed to do so at every turn. Will use my credit and then I'm never shopping their site again.
Groupon and their mobile app are great for finding things to do, places to eat, and goods to buy for an often extremely reasonable price. Highly recommended.
This was my first purchase from this website. I was looking for a specific Heys luggage set and they had it for 43% off the manufacturer's website (which was already marked down by about 50% off the original price). I made the purchase pretty quickly, then read the reviews of the site afterwards, which wasn't very smart of me. I was nervous, but turns out I had no reason to be. I made the purchase 5/9, received tracking info 5/12, and just received my luggage today, 5/18. It's in perfect condition and I am very, very pleased.
I have to say, the only thing I don't like about the website is that this item was non-returnable, but I figure it's no different than when you purchase an all-sales-final clearance item in a store. It's so deeply discounted, that the savings is worth it. You just have to be sure that you are not going to change your mind after purchasing something like this.
Anyway, I figured I would make a point of taking the time to give this site a good review because I feel that not enough satisfied customers do so. Which leads people to only see the unsatisfied customers' reviews, not the true bigger picture.

Many of our items are returnable for up to 21 days from shipping. Bulkier items, final mark down items, hygiene items, items that ship directly from our manufacturer's warehouse, and fragile items are typically not eligible for return. All items state on the sale page their return eligibility so you know prior to check out if you have the option to return.

I planned and purchased a Reebok running shoes. I ordered it on 11th May and on 19 may I receive an email stating - 'Due to overwhelming response we are unable to deliver the shoes". BEWARE: When purchasing the" Made Premium Cleaning Services " Groupon YOU WILL NOT be able to reach anyone on the phone at anytime. There is no possible way to call this company before your cleaning service! ALSO! YOU ARE locked in to monthly service CONTRACT! It's all in the small print. Can't use for move in or move out either. Learned the hard way.
Yes, the luster has worn off this "gem". Interesting concept and the deals were good... in the beginning. Now, well, my advice is to move on. Sure, sign up, give 'em your email and get flooded with more useless junk mail and then try to "opt out". Psst... they don't understand "opt out". Nonetheless, this should be a "pass" for you! There, you've been warned.
You Groupon team delivered a damaged item and it's been 3 weeks. I already requested for a refund and you guys are telling me you're still investigating? How long will that take? I don't care about your investigation. I just want my money back!

Ordered summer cardigans... colors not true to viewed online. Ordered 6 pack of racer bras... received different bras, not racerback! SO DONE!
I admit I never used it for myself, but I bought two Groupon, one getaways weekend for my parents' anniversary and a spa voucher for my sister's birthday. After reading some reviews about it, I paid lot of attention to the terms and conditions of the service I bought, and they didn't have any problem. It's a very easy way to buy a gift, I hate walking around in shopping malls looking for ideas. With a voucher people can decide to use it whenever they want, and it's an incentive to do something that they wouldn't do otherwise, such as a weekend or a spa treatment..
I have used groupon in the past, however recently I was searching through their website on my cell phone. Later I received a statement from my bank that a purchase was made to Groupon. It seemed I placed my phone in my pocket and somehow push the "Buy" button. I immediately contacted Groupo who stated they would not revoke the purchase due to a 2hr window for goods and a final sale with the supplier.
I explained the incident to no avail. Groupon refuse to refund the purchase although they saw the purchase was made on my cell phone and I was willing to show proof from my bank regarding the notification.
BEWARE: The incident of "But Calling" is the norm. It seems purchasing items from Groupon with your buttocks is also possible
The Therapeutic massage groupon from TEAL is a SCAN! They title their Groupon ``60-Minute Therapeutic Massage`` but it is such a lie! When I called them to make the appointment, I mentioned them that I want a therapeutic massage for my neck and my back. My neck and my back were hurting very bad so it was important for me to get a therapeutic massage. When I got there, the massage therapist, who spoke very little English, didn't even ask me what I wanted. I had to tell her that I was coming for a therapeutic massage for my neck and upper back because they hurt. Then, she started uncovering my legs to massage them. I told her that I wanted her to do just my neck and my back. She replied: `` I will do a full body massage because it is for 60 min, right? ‘' I thought it was weird comment because I always get a 60 min for my neck and my back at other places. I told her ok but that I wanted her to focus more on the area that hurts. Then, she said: «Yeah, yeah, don't worry ». The result: she spent not even 5 minutes on my neck and maybe max 10 minutes on my upper back, it was a relaxation massage, and it lasted 50 min not an hour! I was so disappointed and I went to tell the lady at the entrance. I described my experience and she told me: « Oh… but you know why she didn't massage your neck for a longer time, it is because she is not a registered massage therapist and if you are not a registered massage therapist, you are not allowed to massage the neck for more than 6-7 minutes. So, I asked her why did she book me with a non-registered massage therapist then?
She replied that the Groupon is just for non-registered massage therapist. Excuse-me? It is nonsense to title your Groupon ``60-Minute Therapeutic Massage`` if you can't provide the service. The neck is one of the area that people need therapeutic massage the most! What is wrong with them. They just take your money and they waste your time! I had to go back home after and massage my neck MYSELF. Groupon should not support this place if they want to maintain an acceptable reputation!
May 14,2015. I made a hotel reservation and never received an email confirming the transaction. I sent several emails to Groupon customer support (they make it very difficult to even get any support by getting you lost in a Q & A maze)and all I received was a reply that someone would contact me. It is now the next day and still no contact from Groupon. This is the first and last time that use Groupon for Hotel reservations. The price does not make up for the lack of support and aggravation. Terrible service! Stay Away!
I find what I want and with a minimum of clicks and time, it is purchased. Exactly what an experience should be.
Groupon goods sells junk. They stand behind the goods for 14 days and after that, even if the products are defective, they do not stand behind them. You get a sincere "sorry for your luck, sucker!" Very poor policy! Very disappointed customer! I've bought 3 iphone 5/6 cables and all have broken or stopped working. Save yourself the trouble and spend a little more for something that will last longer than a month or two! Lesson learned!
I have found some really great deals on Groupon. My favorite ones have been those to try new restaurants in the area that offer a 2 for 1 deal. My problem is that I will by the deal and then for some reason not be able to use it right away. The old adage "out of sight, out of mind" definitely applies to me. The good thing about Groupon is that even if I miss the expiration date of the deal, the money I spent buying the deal is still usable at that restaurant. If anything, I wish Groupon would send more reminders of when you are getting close to expiration dates.
Hey, i've been a groupon fan for a long time but not any more. Purchased a vacation getaway voucher and then tried to contact the travel agent. Good luck trying, as the agents phone number (travel by jen) is out of service. Groupon is making a big mistake when they don't do adequate research before selling these expensive offers.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
