My family and I were prepping for a trip to the Dells in Wisconsin. And I looked up tickets for the Army Ducks. At first glance when shopping Groupon I thought, "Wow, what a deal!" Four tickets normally cost $120, but my price was only $75. So I bought them. Later, I clicked on the hyper-link that took me to the vendor that sells these tickets year round for these boat tours, and they were cheaper than Groupon! I was irritated when I saw this. Groupon... not only did they inflate the prices to make the mark down look huge, the final mark down wasn't the best deal after all. I contacted customer service about this, they acknowledged the fact that I was correct, offered a refund. I asked if they could just price match it to make it simple. They said no. Lesson learned, don't be a sucker, it always pays to shop around.

Everytime I go to an online store to buy anything, first I check on them to get a discount coupon. They are great.
My ideel order: $229 dress for $89
I placed my first order with ideel on 5/24, and my item was supposedly going to arrive on 5/28. (which did seem a bit quick) However, I noticed on the 28th that it had not even shipped yet.
It's now 6/5, and the "expected date" is updated to: Estimated Delivery: May 28 - Jun 05 (It's probably not going to magically show on my doorstep today. Lol)
I used their Live Chat function and they were unable to provide me with any information, and weren't sure what the problem was.
I will supposedly receive an email update at some point today. However, I've pretty much conceded to the fact that I will not have the dress in time for the upcoming wedding that I planned to wear it to.
Very disappointed with my first purchase. Hoping they can still save the day.

I was just informed via email that I will not be receiving my dress at all.
As a nicety, they provided a $10 voucher towards another order, but I mostly likely will not order again from ideel again. Their items are labeled to ship within 1-2 days (but most items do not ship for up to 14 days, per their FAQs), and even then the product may or may not show.
I love Groupon (the company that owns them), and have purchased SO MUCH through them. But, not sure the same people are coordinating ideel. Their customer service people are on-pair with updates (and monitoring feedback sites), but I feel like the company overall is a long way from being top notch.
Here's a snippet from the email I received this morning about my order:
"Unfortunately, we've run into an inventory problem and the following item is no longer available: ALEX EVENINGS Chiffon Bohemian Print Gown
We're very sorry that we can't fulfill your order. Rest assured, you have not been charged for this item, and if you paid with store credit, it's been restored to your account.
We've placed a $10.00 voucher in your Ideel account to thank you for your understanding. We'll also be sure to let you know if the item becomes available again."
I've only use Groupon a few times, mostly for services, and I don't really have any problem with any of them. I usually read all the fine prints and do some quick research about the business/deal being offered before I purchase them. I know this method doesn't always work, but it's a good preliminary process to reduce the chance of getting into problem.
The site overall is pretty easy to use. Nothing too complicated, although I wish there's some kind of reminder for when a service you buy is about to expire.
I've used groupon way too many times. Want to grab a bite to eat? Need new workout tops? How about an oversized photo of your niece? Groupon has it all! Literally... I use them weekly, and have never had an issue. Love them!
Basically, I overbought certificates that have too short a life span and businesses won't work with you once it's expired. I love to save money, but they give you such a hard sell and say they only have a limited amount... I got suckered into buying more than i wanted.
I placed my first order with ideeli (now called simply ideel) just last week right before I found all these negative reviews at sitejabber. Buyers' remorse set in immediately and I seriously considered cancelling my order. But first I wanted to do some price comparisons on the items I purchased. I was able to find comparable same brand items to 2, and identical items to 2 more of the 4 dresses I bought. Ideel had MUCH better prices on all but one of them (up to 3 x cheaper) and they were only $2 more on the 4th. So I decided to let her ride and didn't cancel my order. I was expecting a ridiculously long wait for my order to arrive - again based on reviews here - but was shocked when the tracking info indicated the delivery date, only 4 days from purchase. My package actually came today - 5 days (counting Saturday & Sunday) from the day I placed my order. Pretty darn good as far as I'm concerned. I haven't tried on my dresses yet, but they all look great out of the box. The fit and quality aren't really the seller's responsibility but I'll update my review when I've had a chance to try everything on.
UPDATE: After getting them home and trying on I'm pleased as punch with all four dresses purchased on this order. I've worn them all several times and the quality and fit are great. My 5 star rating stands!

I ordered a Fossil watch, it was fake, not fossil at all!
The clothes they sell are cheap and even if its a brand name its the items that are not made correctly.
I went to purchase a $249 watch on Groupon. I got an email saying my transaction had not gone through and I would need to input a new card, in the email it gave me a link that said " Update your account" I clicked on it and updated my credit card info. The email also said that they would try again in 1 day. At that point I emailed groupon and they explained what I needed to do, however it was too late the watches were sold out. Thanks for nothing Groupon.
I purchases an UP 24 fitness band for nearly $80. Lasted four months and two weeks and fell apart. The Jawbone company said it was not their fault and Groupon said after 14 day they took no responsibility. I could have paid $30 more and had a warranty. Do not buy items such as this on GROUPON!
I love Groupon. Because of their "tickets and events" my husband and I have become tourists in our own hometown.
My dad purchased a rusty wallace racing experience for my 50th b day. He sence came down with leukema and is in the hosp on chemo and has struggled for a month to get this groupon he paid for. He got one email thanks for your purchase with no info. They then could not get any info except they took 198.00 at this point he doesn't care about the 198 and tired of fighting groupon because he is fighting cancer. I told the groupon customer service rep this and they need him to jump through their hoops. He cannot, so enjoy your 198 GROUPON
Just ordered a 2200 prada bag off site -- the pic did not have a removable strap which is unusual for type of bag (medium double pocket saffiano cuir). I asked about this and they assured me it was fine, just that it was a later style and shipped bag. Sure enough, they gave me the wrong bag! It was the large size, rather than medium they had advertised (large does not have a detachable strap). Now I have a bag that's much too large. I'm trying to get in touch w them but can't reach them. I really regret buying from them!

Groupon is nice, but I strongly recommend that you make sure you are going to use the coupon. If you don't it's worth the face value at the merchant, and if the merchant refuses to accept or goes out of business, you can get a refund, but you do need to do some work to get it.
I placed two orders through this awful company and both were messed up. I will NEVER EVER shop here again. The first order was 6 pairs of shoes for my bridesmaids. I was excited to see the perfect shoe on their site. I had been looking for months. I finally got the package and open it to find that they had sent me an incorrect size on the 6th pair. I emailed the company to see if I could get a replacement. They told me they were sold out and only offered a refund. I was so mad! This was a huge error on their part. The correct sizes were ordered and were on the slip however they placed the wrong item in the box. I am still waiting on my refund and this has been a huge headache since it is for my wedding. The next issue is that they cancelled the second order and didn't notify me. Are you kidding me? I chatted with an online rep and literally got the worst customer service. It was the least helpful conversation I have ever had in my life. They gave the most confusing reason for the cancel... it didn't even make sense and went around the issue. I would have been happy with good customer service and a reasonable explanation but definitely did not get one. I love shopping online and finding cute products, but I will order from somewhere else next time!

I would like to personally look in to why your order was canceled so I can give you an explanation. Because we are a flash sale site, we do not operate like typical retail sites. We host the sale, get a firm number of orders, and then we receive the items from our manufacturers and ship out at that point, typically 14-21 days after the sale. Part of the way we can offer the low prices we do is by keeping very little inventory on hand and passing those overhead savings on to our members. If you would like to send me your order number in a private message, I will look in to it.
This is also why on the rare occasion when a wrong item is sent out that we aren't typically able to replace it - we do not keep the inventory on hand. Once I hear back from you with your order number or registered email, I can look in to your refund as well and expedite the processing for you.

I am always checking daily to find what the newest deals are. I can't think of how many times I was able to score deals compared to the retail pricing in stores that are local to me.
Groupon customer service has been a. Godsend. When the seller refused to honor the 90 warrenty, Groupon stepped in and refunded my money and dealt with the seller, Freedom Pop, who advertised and verbally assured me coverage in my location. However, there wasn't any coverage, only in surrounding areas 40 miles from home. Even though I purchased the cell from Freedom Pop, they denied the sale, claiming it purchased it through a third party. Groupon stepped in refunded my money and apologized for the problems created. I've never had a company do that for me.
Great products at great prices but you have to act quick because they go fast!
I ordered a pair of boots from Ideel. The price seemed like a bargain until shipping was added on. $9.95 to ship and another $2.53 in tax. This still did not deter me from ordering, but I immediately had buyers remorse when, on top of the high shipping cost, I found out it would take weeks for me to receive my order. I tried to cancel my order, but I found out that canceling is not an option at Ideel, even when the order is still in processing. When I finally got the boots about 3 weeks later, they were not the same color as pictured and they were too small in the calf, so I needed to return them anyway. I had the option of choosing store credit or having to pay another $8.95 in return shipping! I didn't want store credit because of my experience, so I ended throwing $20 down the drain to wait 3 weeks to try on a pair of boots that didn't fit and send them back. This was one of the worst online shopping experiences I can remember. Never again.

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
