WORST GROUPONS EXPERIENCE EVER!
Bad service with rude manners.
SHOW NO RESPECT TO THE CUSTOMER CHOICES when customer chose a different service instead of a much more expensive service he suggested such as rebonding! He got angry when I wanted only a haircut, thus he gave me an improper haircut with my bangs in a weird shape and all my back hair sticking out. RUDE!
DISHONEST FELLOW as he Does not follow what the information provided in groupon.
THEY EVEN TOLD ME THRICE THAT I DO NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE THE GROUPON TO GET SAME HAIR CUT AND HAIR TREATMENT FOR RM 20 THROUGH MY PHONE CALL! JUST BY WALK IN TO GET SAME VALUE GROUPON TREATMENT!
Ex: in groupon RM20 for cut+hair treatment+wash, but when i reach there he said RM 50 for hair treatment, yet RM 20 is only for haircut.
Spent over $500 on skybox tickets for cubs game. Due to new scoreboard you couldn't see ANY of the game besides on the TV. They said, too bad. We said there was some obstruction.". So angry! I will NEVER but from groupin again
Groupon is fun with a lot of ideas and fun projects and discount fun like examples of massages and art and entertainments and museums. Discount offers on restaurant and hair salon. Sincerely Tamera
Having family in another city and trying to find gift items without the usual gift card feeling, I am always trying to find family oriented activities. The items I have purchased have lived up to the expectations and have provided new ventures in family fun!
Bought Groupon only to expire before use. Usually too far away so do your homework and see if you would really use the coupon or just throw it away as I have. Waste of money.
I accidentally returned a wrong package and they will not send it back, I am going to sue these idiots. Please read other reviews before you buy anything, they are thieves

I would say most of the Groupon discounts are a deal. SOme are not, if you can find it elsewhere for the same price, even though Groupon make it seem you are getting better value than it really is. I found most of the restaurants are good value, some are again, the real value would not have been justified for what you get in service, food quality etc.
In fact the best thing about Groupon is really for the vendors. They get to market their product and customers get to try them for discounted (try out pass) for their services.
I would like them to succeed because it is great win win for everyone.
Although they have some good deals, I've always had bad customer service experience with ideel.
Once I reached out to them for not receiving an item and they said I should contact the shipping company. I did not shop with them for almost 2 years.
Next time they took almost 12 days to ship my order. I returned one of the items and I was told by their customer service rep it will take 15 days for them to receive my return and then 4-5 business days to process my return!
Am I the only one who finds it ridiculous? Other stores don't charge for shipping and I get my order delivered in 3-4 days. Ideeli charges me almost $10 for shipping and another $10 for return shipping still take 15+5 days to complete the return process and give my money back.

First of all most of their stuff is crap. Merchants who can't get customers to pay full price trying to drum up business via Groupon. Second, there's the expiration date - in my case it was a class and I couldn't get a match with the seller and he walked on it. Groupon won't give me my money back even though it says they will in the contract. Instead they issue Groupon Bucks which makes you buy additional items you don't need that are usually offered in multiples at a "discount" price that is basically offset by the shipping charge. A cheap company and a cheap operation. Stay away.
I love the deals they offer but the emails of offers can be overwhelming. I couldn't get them to stop so I created a new email to get around it. I still check in to make purchases on great deals. Only through that other account though.
Bought a group on deal for a TEFL course. Spent 2 months revising and passing the modules. Got to the last 2 and suddenly I couldn't sign in to the course. I contacted Groupon who after 6 weeks with no explanation just refunded the amount I paid for the deal. Am gutted what a waste of my valuable time and am very disappointed in Groupon will not use or recommend to anyone
We recently had a great experience using a groupon coupon to have our house power washed by A-1 Power Washing. They were very professional, did a great job, and were very friendly. I would recommend anyone looking for power washing, or other house jobs, to call them.
I have been shopping with Ideeli (now Ideel) for a couple years now. In the past when I've had issues with orders, they were somewhat responsive and apologetic for their mistakes. I've had problems from torn items to very delayed shipping but I still shopped there because the deals can be quite good. I'm done now! I placed an order and did not receive it until a month later. At no point did they contact me to explain that the shipment had been delayed. The shipment date was changed but I was not informed. When I contacted them there was just indifference about the fact that it was nearly a month and I had still not received my order. I waited until the last date of the shipment window had passed and then cancelled my order. A couple days later I looked in my account to see that the order had not been cancelled but had been shipped instead. I chatted with a representative who seemed to be a bit more sympathetic and said I would get a refund and $10 credit for my frustration. Neither were posted to my account and the chat conversation was not emailed to me. When I chatted again with a representative they said that their was no record of my chat in the system. This is just one of the series of poor experiences that I have had in the last few months. I don't know if they are under new management or something but their customer service is just not good anymore. I've learned my lesson and will be taking my business elsewhere.

We do occasionally have a late shipment because of our flash sale business model. In general, we host the sales and then once we have a firm number of orders, we get that amount of units from the vendor and then we ship it out. We strive to be transparent when there are delays, so once I have your account information I will make sure to look in to why you were not notified as soon as we were aware of the delay so we can avoid this in the future.
I will also make sure your refund is processed and your courtesy credit is added to your account. We track communication by email, so if you wrote in on a different email, the representative may not have been able to locate it. Please send me a private message here with your registered email address, the order number that wasn't cancelled properly, and any other email addresses you might have wrote in on so I can resolve these concerns.

I've had a touch-and-go experience with using Groupon. Some great deals, some not-so-great. Admittedly, part of that is probably my own fault for forgetting to use them before they expired. But whatever, that's not what this review is about.
This review is about the sub-par Customer Service experience that I recently experienced with Groupon. The first time I called in was at around 6pm Pacific time on a Friday, only to find that they actually run on business hours circa 1988:9AM TO 5PM (CENTRAL) MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. Are you kidding me? You run an internet business.
After getting past the initial shock, I called back 2 weeks later when I had time during the day (which is almost never). I was calling for something that I could not find an answer/resolution for on the very unhelpful online service tool that makes you spin your wheels. I then was put through an arduous phone tree that gave every other option first, and after a few minutes of that, was then notified that I had a hold time of 20-30 minutes to speak with an agent. Really? I felt like I was calling the Customer Service team for MCI or Montgomery Ward.
I finally get a hold of a very unenthusiastic customer service representative and explain the issue. It took the rep several moments to start responding. She was obviously looking up the question and had not dealt with this problem before. Then, after several very awkwardly silent moments states, "It looks like I can refund that for you."
The good news is that I did get what I was looking for. The unfortunate reality is that it was not the kind of experience you'd expect from a $3 billion global e-commerce company. I just wish they put as much effort into Customer Service as they do crafting the witty satire they call copy.
Color me disappointed.
I was gifted a scopon as a gift for a high tea in a CBD location.
We chose the date and there was no issue with our transaction. The food was great the service fantastic.
All in all a great experience
I PURCHASED A GROUPON 2/19/2015 WHICH EXPIRES UNTIL 8/18/2015 IN MARCH I CALLED TO MAKE RESERVATION AND EVERYTHING WAS BOOKED! I CONTACTED GROUPON FOR A REFUND AND THEY REFUSED SAYING ITS NOT THEIR FAULT I DIDNT MAKE A RESERVATION RIGHT AWAY. EMPLOYEES THERE ARE VERY RUDE. SO NOW I JUST LOST MONEY THANKS TO GROUPON
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.

First, we offer many items on consignment, which means the items are not in our inventory when you place your order. Instead, we hold a sales event, then place an order with the manufacturer for the exact amount of items we need to fulfill our members' orders. This is part of the reason we can offer suc great deals on our site. This does mean that wait time for your order to ship will be longer than traditional retailers.
Regarding returns, the timeline you quoted seems a little off. We expect 3 - 5 business days for your package to arrive back at our Fulfillment Center, but foten packages are delivered earlier if you are closer to our South Carolina location. We then require another 5 business days to process your returns, but often we process them sooner. These time frames are estimates, to ensure that we do not give our members poor expectations of travel and processing times. If you select a cash refund to your credit card, we submit that refund as soon as your return is processed. However, banking policies allow up to 5 days before a refund requested on our end is updated on your balance.
