I have ordered dog beds from Groupon and the dogs LOVE THEM! The quality is so-so but for the price I can live with it.
I then ordered a canvas print using a Groupon voucher and tried to follow the instructions on the voucher but they did not jive with the website. Finally got the order placed when the website offered me a deal so I placed another order for a DIFFERENT canvas print. Received 2 emails confirming my orders-two different confirmation numbers and only description of order was size of canvases so unable to know if orders were actually correct or not!
Website was for CanvasonDemand (I think). Order received was from BestCanvas. Was charged an "international transaction fee" for each canvas as the actual company is overseas! No mention of this in fine print. The order was incorrect. I received 2 prints of the same picture, was charged 2 shipping fees but only charged for one canvas( but shipping fee was more than canvas price!) Not happy.
PS quality so-so on these also
Before buying anything on Groupon check other local stores! They want to persuade you with what the item was valued 12 months ago versus the price you're going to actually pay. Local stores may have same or better deal with no extra charge for shipping
I've picked up some really good deals from Groupon but I've also found some of the local deals had comparable *FREE* coupons if you searched for them. I've also purchased retail items from the Groupon site, and again, some were really good and others I was able to find on EBay, Amazon, etc for the same price or less. Take the time to google and check reviews. I've noticed a lot of them have really BAD reviews so they are using Groupon, and similar services, to get new business in.
Groupon boasts providing a host of bargains ranging from: spa treatments, food, medical procedures, clothes, vehicle services and the list goes on and on.
Its a mediocre site offering some good deals to restaurants ect but we found that most of the restaurants you would not go back to. We tried to lodge a complaint about one restaurant which groupon failed to deal with, as such we are very hesitant to deal with them. There are better companies offering better deals.
I love Groupon. Their prices can't be beat, and when I had a problem getting an appointment for a service I ordered, they refunded my money within hours after my customer service request. I have ordered electronics for half price with great quality results.
I went to the dentist and he made me only partial cleaning because said that with the coupon I bought is only for first visit, but in the description was wrote comple cleaning of mouth!
This is funny but also a partial scam in my opinio
Are not being offered " at this time " even when I click on the dam ad. Not worth the trouble
Hope all your voucher redemptions go well. If not, don't expect any customer service from Groupon's customer support. The vendor would only accept Groupon redemption via their website, but the instructions on the website did not work. After multiple attempts over several weeks - to schedule my event, I contacted Groupon's customer support. I included my phone number after my name at the end of the each email. After several emails from Groupon - with no resolution or refund - Groupon's third email asked me to send my phone number. Disregarding my previous emails - what a waste of time and $47! I will only deal with Living Social and TravelZoo in the future! My friends say these are better sites.
Was introduced to this site by my oldest son, was a little skeptical... two years later I am a believer and I definitely take advantage of this site and the deals!
I've used many Groupons. Saved a lot of money! I especially like the ones where you buy the voucher and the product is auto shipped. That is very time saving as well!
The patio set was not the one ordered and was incomplete, Groupon were unable to rectify this. Eventually I found a way to contact them ( not easy) and Shabana arranged free collection of the merchandise and refunded the money within a few days, thanks Shabana. The answer to a problem is to persevere and publicise it on social media like sitejabber, companies obviously do not like poor publicity. Will use Groupon again now that I know how to get things put right if they go wrong, Thank you sitejabber.
Just had Father's day celebration at House of Seafood. The food is not bad. BUT, they charge $60 per kg for their crab when the market price is only $30-$40 per kg for popular restaurants. The service personnel when took order says crab is 1.2 kg to 1.4kg.
OK $60 per kg, let see! When the crab came to the table it looks less then 1kg. We took 2 crabs in two flavours and the bill for Crab came up to $170 just for under weight crab. Please don't also fall for their Groupon tricks, at $60 per kg after Groupon discount is $30 per kg, then they don't weigh the crab and over charge you. Come to SQUARE ONE OR WORST! DON't FALL FOR THEIR CHEAP TRICKS!
It's a good thing that Groupon's mobile site had a technical problem on Father's Day or I would have paid $10 more for couple hours on a SUP. Thankfully, Living Socials site was up to the task and I booked it immediately and enjoying the day in the sun. When I return, I will be removing Groupon from my Favorites.
There is so many good deals, you can easily just waste an afternoon. But like I said - good deals.
I have order a product from Groupon more than 5 weeks before and the product came after 4 weeks without any notifications, emails, status from groupon. When I open packet, the story became more worst, the product was one cheap quality, which I will not even buy from street.
NEVER EVER BUY SOMETHING FROM GROUPON
I've bought a lot of goods on Groupon. And several spa type deals. If you do a quick Google search for a particular item you'll usually find just as good if not a better deal elsewhere, at least for the goods. I've never had any issues with their other deals, and those are pretty good.
I bought a Samsung tv on Groupon that I waited 3 weeks to get. Qhwn it finally arrived, the screen was shattered. And the deal was gone. Though it said free returns when i tried to print the return label it wouldn't let me. Contacted customer service and they sent me a return label. Returned and refunded with no issue.
Ordered a refurbished backwards compatible ps3, stopped working on day 2. Returned and refunded with no issue.
Ordered a refurbished router, but the power cord with it didn't work. Ended up using my own cord from something else and it works fine.
In March I ordered a juice cleanse on Groupon from Vertex BSI. It still has not arrived and the company is not responding to me or the Groupon customer service. Groupon seems to be making an effort to reach out to the business, but nothing has happened yet. Hoping to get a refund and they need to cancel that promotion.
It's a decent place to find some good deals. It just seems like every time I look on Groupon, there are more and more sex toys, restraints, etc. Couldn't they at least have a separate section for those items so I'm not scrolling through vibrators and nipple suctions just to see a cute blouse on sale.
I purchased a bed in a bag and had the comforter in my bed for less then 2 months and it ripped. The fabric is so thin and flimsie it can not be sewn. Groupon states the have a 14 day return policy, but this type of product should last and hold up to everyday use. My last comforter was over 5 years old, and not one tear. Anyone else have a problem with inferior products that don't last?
I buy and resell, and sometimes I find amazing deals on groupon... also got alot of my household items here, def a groupon addict.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
