Groupon is awful. They have no concern when their groupons are not honored or when the products are not received! I purchased a hair color/cut from them a year ago and the stylist could never seem to work me in to get schedule no matter how far out I called. Groupon said "too bad - not our problem".
Then last month I bought some earrings from them. I only received 2 of the 3 pairs and again Groupon said "too bad - we show the post office delivered them so we don't care. They told me to check with my neighbors but there was nothing Groupon would do. "

I bought a tv in groupon. WOST DECISION EVER. They have this craZy 14 day policy for returns (not even clothes stores have a 14 day policy) and they took a month to deliver my tv. Soby then the 14 day policy was over. After a month of using my tv, the tv stops working. I sent an email complaining and they cant do anything because of their policy. Groupon is not reliable and every experience I had with it was just a bad and sad. Please stay away and don't waste your time here. You have been warned
I have my eyes on this all the time, I've made a lot of purchases and I've always been happy.
Every time i call its a hour wait then when i get someone, they just offer a refund not an equal value of what was paid, they dont check merchants they do business with. ALL SCAM u can find things cheaper yourself or any other respectable website. GROUPON does NOT deserve your money
I don't know what is with all of the negative reviews. I ordered a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and I got them in perfect mint condition with all of the packaging 3 days early. I almost cancelled my order after reading what is written on this site, but I'm glad I didn't. It was a great price for a great product and it actually came early!
I have bought many things off Groupon & if I have ANY issues they give me a refund (only to their website) but I always find something great to buy.
After not receiving my order after 3 weeks I contacted customer service. They only offer email and live chat as a way to reach someone. I live chatted with someone only to have him inform me that he could not locate my package and would have to email a supervisor. I told him I wanted to speak with an actual person so he gave me a phone number to do so. I called that number for 2 days only to get a voicemail every time! In the voicemail they state that they will return your call by end of business day. Yea... no one ever called me back. So I emailed for another 2 days. No one ever returned my emails. So then I live chatted with someone yet again. This time the lady told me that my package was lost and there was an investigation. I told her I wanted my money back, only to have her avoid my demand. Only after getting angry did she tell me she would not refund my money until the investigation was complete almost 2 weeks later. Like it was my fault that they lost my package! So bottom line is ideel has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I had to dispute the charges with my bank! Buyer beware! If you ever have to contact ideel customer service you're in for a very frustrating experience!
Just received the David off Coolwater Perfume from Groupon India and it is a fake!
The Package came without its protective plastic cover and doesn't even smell the same as the perfume or stay on you for some time like the ones you purchase from the shops in the Mall.
I have to admit that I have purchased a few spa deals, and few are good while others are pretty so-so. But this product that I have received is definitely a fake. Getting a sub-standard bed sheet or a fake Swiss knife is though not correct but is still okay, in my opinion, and I can deal with it. But fake perfumes and fake skin care products is a super no go and I would suggest don't buy perfumes and skin care products from them.

Rep Mohammed & Baboo displayed no basic business law knowledge, attempted to weasel out of the fiduciary relationship created in our contract. Do not trust these people to do the right equitable thing as they don't even know what they are doing. You will be scammed! Sadly they could solve most problems fairly, quickly and equitably,@ minimal cost, but don't even understand basic business principles. I predict complainants in a class action business lawsuit could own this company as it is poorly run. Hint: I will fire a sizable portion of the employees so get ready to find new jobs!
Everytime I think I've found a decent groupon I end up calling the business directly and am offered a similar or even better deal going on at the time. This website is closer to the supermarket ads than a discount service. They just parrot what is being offered. I can never even seem to get someone on the phone to ask about it either. Just a ridiculous service!
I've purchased lots in the past from ideeli/ideel but recently have not been able to find anything on their site that is returnable - what a ridiculous risk they are asking the customer to take!

Because we keep very little inventory in order to keep our prices as low as possible, many of the items sold on our site are non-returnable. Because we understand the limitation this puts on our members, we try to be very transparent about this fact, noting the return policy on the sales page for every item, as well as when you place an item in your cart. This same information is shown on every order you successfully place, and in the order confirmation e-mail you receive immediately after checkout.
That said, our customer service team is always willing to work with you, especially if this is your first time shopping with us and were not aware of the policy. I had an expired groupon, took it to the Dancing Ganesha restaurant. They wouldn't honor the groupon. Groupon says they won't do anything about. Don't buy again or at least don't let them expire.
I recently purchased the double drop raceway water made by bonsai from Groupon. It was delivered late and had a lot of mold all over it. It did appear in new condition so I assume it way simply left in the rain and water seeped in one of the many holes that were in the box. I contacted Groupon about this and they offer to send me a new one in about a month. I will never buy anything from Groupon again.
We are clients of Groupon and have been for a few years. They are a great partner of our marketing group! We have found that the service charge for advertising deals and getting our name out there is so much more cost effective with Groupon than any other format. Yes you might make less profit, BUT everybody is looking for a deal these days, so Groupon is there first stop.
Again, we are very impressed by them and the effort they put in to help you create the best package for your company!
Worst company ever., I ordered an expensive Silver Burberry men's watch to only receive a two tones lady's watch.
Their customer service is the worst by far ever.

This was my first time using groupon, it will probably be my last. If they don't work with reputable companies, then it's just a scam.
I tried to cancel a order online that I made before time ran out but the system was messed up so it would not allow me to cancel so I contacted customer service and they had me on hold and did not ever return back to me so I was unable to cancel the order. They are rude and always act annoyed when I contact them. They should give me credit all the money I spent with them. Thank God for other clothing sites like Hautelook and Lord and Taylor.

Due to the nature of our business, we fulfill your order as soon as the item you order is in stock. If the expected shipping window is within 2-3 days of when you are checking out, that means the item is in stock and ready to ship. This means after the 15 minute window has passed, you order may be moved on to fulfillment immediately. For this reason, we're unable to guarantee that a cancellation request to customer service will be successful.

I've gotten lots of great deal on Groupon and had excellent customer service and a quick refund recently when I accidentally clicked to buy a Groupon I didn't need. Keep up the good work! Becklee Niemchak
My complaint is not about charging my card (after all, a card was never used).
My complaint is about MY money that is being held in my Ideeli account that they refuse to refund. I have never complained that they have charged my card. Quite contrary... they say that they attempted to charge my card and the charge as declined. The payment method that I used to make up the difference between MY money that is being held as a "credit" in my account is PayPal... no attempt has been made by Ideeli to access funds from my PayPal account!
I have attempted to use MY money that they will not refund on several occasions. Each time I receive a message that the order has shipped. Each time it does not. Each time I request a refund of MY money that is beingheld in MY Ideeli account. Each time I am denied a refund. If Ideeli cannot fulfill any of the orders that I place, all that they need to do is REFUND MY MONEY, bringing my account to zero. Pretty easy... they REFUSE!

Thank you so much for being in touch via Site Jabber. I am sorry to hear about the issues you’ve had, and it seems like there are some miscommunications I can address here.
When you place an order on our site, we do not charge your card. We simply place a hold on the card for the value of the order, to ensure that the funds are available. That hold is temporary, and will drop off within a few days if the order does not ship. Because we do not charge you until the order has shipped, when your first order was cancelled, the hold was released. No money was ever transferred to our bank for that order because we could not fulfill it. While I am sorry that this occurred, due to the consignment nature of our business much of our inventory is sent to us by the manufacturers after the sales event has ended. If for some reason they find that a style or size we sold on our site is not available, or in lower quantity than originally stated, we will take orders on the site that we cannot fulfill. When that happens, we typically send an e-mail as well as issue a credit for the inconvenience. But please note that this credit is given to you by Ideel, and is not connected to the payment of the cancelled order. Your money never left your account, because the order never shipped.
Regarding the new order you placed, as mentioned, we authorize your card at checkout. Then, when it’s time to ship your order, if the hold has already dropped off, we’ll need to place a new hold on your card. When we went to do so, it sounds like PayPal refused the second authorization. This caused your order to go into a freeze status, and we sent you an e-mail letting you know the payment needed to be updated within 48 hours or the order would be cancelled. That e-mail message does begin by saying “We appreciate your business and hope to ship your order as soon as possible.” However, it then immediately alerts you to the issue: “Unfortunately, we are unable to process your payment with the information currently on file.” I am sorry for the confusion.

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
