Always buying food and travel deals from Groupon! They might not have the best deals, but they always have the most deals!
My rating is for the Ideeli that existed before being bought by Groupon. Ideeli used to be the site that I would purchase from at least twice a week. They were affordable, had ridiculous sales and a really good inventory. Then one day in 2014 they sent an email about being bought by Groupon which I thought was horrendous because I always used to laugh at Groupon and their horrific sales.
Eventually things got worse; they erased all of my favorites, changed their inventory and even changed their models so the outfits didn't even look good anymore. Prices went up by about $5-10 on average and they started charging an additional tax at check out. Now you have to go through Groupon.
This was not ideeli reaching out for help people, they were super successful. This was Groupon buying out what they saw as a competitor and getting them off the market. Which is why a previously fully functional website has now been relegated to just a section on the Groupon site.
They will eventually phase out the 'Designer' section on Groupon and Ideeli( I refuse to call it Ideel) as we know it, will cease to exist.

A very good selection and price for many of 2015 holiday gifts. I would only advise consumers to double check for quality when the price is exceptionally low. Overall good value and convenience.
DO NOT waste your money. FTD delivery fees are 22.50 alone. Groupon cost $15.00 for $30.00. Worth. Limited time 2 weeks to use took more than 1 day for same day delivery florist who picked up order was miles away in next town. There were 3 florists within a mile of hospital. Would have been better with in house hospital florist shop
I ordered a pair of boots & didn t receive them, so asked for a refund. Not only didn t I get the boots but I was charged 3 times on my credit card for $112.57. I have not received a refund for any amount! I have tried e-mailing them & no response. I have tried to contact Groupon for a response as they took over ideel I. This is absurd!
They flat out lie and false advertise - it's all about getting your money. For this past Christmas we ordered 3 items on the mobile site. We were supposed to get "free shipping for orders over $34.99" but they split the order into three separate orders and charged shipping for each one. When I saw the charges and questioned them they said the mobile site/app doesn't support the shopping cart yet so I cannot "bundle" the 3 orders into one an had to pay shipping for each. They also advertised shipping in 2 days. That's a lie. Sent me tracking info in two days but all it kept saying was "en route" for the DHL number and USPS tracking number simply stated Not Found. When I asked about that, I was assured my items were on the way. 11 days later they show up in a location just 1 hour from where they were being shipped. I think they mark it shipped to avoid having you cancel the order.
I intend to file a complaint with the states attorney, I already reported to BBB but they don't seem too interested in doing anything about it.
I have been hooked on Ideel for years from house items to purses, shoes watches, glasses etc. My last order took forever to arrive and in between the time when i ordered and when i received the item they switched to GROUPON, None of my prior order history is available and one of my last items i've been trying to return through groupon... no answer, no email nothing. I would never shop on groupon for such items... baddd decision to do this merger.
There's definitely value by going with groupon, but there's also a downside. For services, a lot of times the provider straight up doesn't give a f since it's already paid for. I've bought some items via them, not bad but nothing to write home about either. Most things seem cheaply made and have a knock off feel.
I used Groupon for a long time and it was ok for the most part. But in the last year or two, things have gotten really bad. Customer service is horrible. I was shipped the wrong product twice and with customer service not being very helpful, I never even got the correct product or a refund. I got "groupon bucks" to spend more money on a shoddy site. I deleted my app and no longer on email list. I use Living Social mostly if I'm looking for daily or local deals.
GROUPON IS $#*!ING $#*!E. I want to return a watch, you wouldn't have thought it would be so difficult? The watch is fine and i have to admit i got a good deal, however, i have decided i want to return it as its a gift for someone and not quite the one i want. I am completely eligible to return it within 14 days as the returns policy states and its been 7 days and the website continues to tell me 'oops something bad has happened' whenever i click return package. This is SO frustating and i hate it. Do NOT recommend.
My husband and I were given a groupon voucher for Christmas for o four course taster menu at The Honest Miller at brook well we went today and all I can say is WOW we had an excellent meal and the chef Gareth Cox and his wife Liza were and absolute delight I can't praise the place highly enough we will be returning hopefully very shortly so thank you our son and his wife thank you to Gareth and his wife and thank you to groupon
Groupon is offering a promotional 10% discount for their "Getaway" travel option I was unsure how to add the discount to the cart, I called customer service who assured I could alter the reservation after submission. Obviously that was a lie, they informed me the coupon would not work for a hotel (insert sarcastic emoji here). I was also told (not to mention clearly dictated on all Groupon literature) that Groupon bucks would be applied automatically in the cart. Obviously that did not work so now I have to dispute the charge with my bank because groupon will not refund me, and i am stuck with 100.00 groupon cash that i NEVER EVER want to use. Supervisor fixed all issues and gave full refund while providing a complete solution to get me what i wanted.
Run from Groupon/Ideel. The 1/20 items that are correct, not trashed or defective, are not worth the hassle of paying for the 19/20 items that are junk, break, tear, or never even show up. CALLED MY BANK: Ended up filing a claim and bank refunded my money for items that I was charged for that never shipped. If you need to do the same have your date of transaction and e-mails with shipping confirmation ready etc. good luck!
Groupon has ruined the ideeli site. The app is not working at all. Where are the flash sales? I see nothing but one off offers. The site was one of my favorite had great shopping daily. Please bring back the substance that ideeli had before otherwise I am no longer purchasing from site.

BUYER BEWARE: This company has the worst customer service ever. Contacted customer service to cancel my order a day after as I found out it would take 7-10 business days for mailing. The item was intended as a birthday gift so it won't serve its purpose if it doesn't get there on time. Customer service REFUSED to cancel my order stating that it was shipped yet the tracking information says otherwise.
This is the second time I encountered a problem. One time, I had items that were lost so I called customer service to complain and asked for a refund. The lady kept insisting that I should check with the neighbors or call UPS. It took a lot of convincing before the lady decided to refund me for the items. Oh, don't expect a prompt shipping. They are ALWAYS DELAYED!
I purchased a refurbished iPhone 1/15/16 for $189. I received the phone a week later. I noticed the phone was $20 less after I took possession. I requested the difference refunded instead of having to return for a refund and repurchase at the lower price. I received canned responses. I responded back "use your brain and resolve the issue". I was offered their funny money on next purchase. I declined and reiterated my request. I then get a response referring to a 2 year old purchase. This is not rocket science! It's a simple request that can be handled in a couple of emails. They responded, again, with a canned email. After all the emails back and forth and filing a BBB complaint, I finally received the partial refund. I did receive a response from a manager. They were no better than the idiot overseas reps. I was given more funny money, but I had enough. I deleted my account. I'll do something more productive like hitting my head against a wall. The iPhone is fine. All's well that ends well.

I have been an ideeli/ideel customer for years and made my last order a couple of weeks ago. They have moved to Groupon since then and I can no longer access my account info, info about the orders I have not received yet, or info regarding returning an item that was too small. I contacted them with their old customer support email as well as the new ideel at groupon email and have not received an answer.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
