Groupon used to be very a good website to get good deals and I have a been a very long term customer, but now they have changed their policies etc. it seems they are not able to handle the load with so many vendors and offers on their website.
The deals do not have all restrictions mentioned from their vendors and if their vendors don't honor the deals, also Groupon is no longer offering refunds or even groupon bucks back in these scenarios.
Seems they are on the brink of bankruptcy and they want to loot the most money they can by hook or crook.
Booked a cruise on the city of Philadelphia on july 7th. Due to an accident on the highway we missed the cruise. We contacted customer service, no answer back on refunding nor reschedule an trip. I paid $ 163.09. That's not free money. No response from Groupon.
Purchased a voucher when on holiday for the Angel Hotel In Cardiff and tried several times to redeem it and book a date for November. Unfortunately the booking process kept failing so tried to sort it out on my computer when I got home only to find the expiry date has now passed and I have lost my money and the voucher. Bouncing!
Customer service do not want to know, even it was their site's fault that I couldn't make the booking.
Will never use them again, and as mentioned above they have gone downhill since covid and turned into a scamming company, hoping people forget or blocking their bookings until after the expiry date. Dreadful customer service and company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
This doesn't even deserve one star...I purchased a groupon for a limo service in vegas, turns out the limo company did not have availability the weekend I was supposed to be there. Contacted groupon support requesting for a refund and they simply denied me. I don't live in America, so I will not have any other chance to use the groupon. It's so brutal, and with the exchange rate, it costs me more, i essentially lost $150 CAD, let me rephrase that, Groupon took $150 CAD from me. I don't make a lot of money and I wanted my mom's 60th bday to be special by getting a limo, instead i'm out of that money and we don't 'have a limo now :( companies like these need to be shut down i think.
I ordered an item that cost me $4.50 paid out Too MUCH for shipping and handling and didn't even get the product! I ordered 3 items 2 came and this one didn't! I have been emailing them/gave them phone number so we could communicate...still no item, no phone call, and no REFUND!
Groupon is a joke. So not even worth 1 star. I bought $500 tickets to seaworld and they expire July 11 2023 and park wouldn't leather in and said they were expired. Kids are upset. Groupon only has live chat. O ly saying sorry and will respond in seven days? Kids upset. My sister passed away this time last year and I couldn't go and gave them to family who could use. I'm so pissed
I received a notification in the middle of the night saying my credit card was charged by GROUPON and right away I emailed them to tell them that the transaction was not authorized by me to cancel the transaction. I spoke to three representatives. They told me that they were going to escalate it. But, they lied to me, and the transaction was not canceled. I tried to google their number I received three numbers when I tried to call it says please check the number and dial again. They like to save your credit card number without your consent make sure you delete it. THE WORST COMPANY EVER JUST LOOK AT THEIR REVIEWS!
If I could give no stars I would. Groupon have terrible customer service. You can't speak with anyone on the phone only through email. There was an unauthorized transaction made on my account. I reported the circumstance Groupon still took the money out of my account and submitted falsified documents to my bank stating that I redeemed a voucher that was never redeemed. The payment was for $629 which is ridiculous. I provided them with proof from the bank, still no help. Please watch your account and be careful with using groupon. They are fraudulent and will not resolve your issues!
I had 299.36 in my account. I opened Groupon and my account is empty, all history gone! Noone at Groupon responds to the problem. Im going to the Attny General now! Groupon is a thieving nightmare!
Groupons purchased can't use and no refund. I would say lower then 1 star if I could. I purchased bowling groupons and they can't be used by the bowling alley. They have to many leagues and never any lanes open. I have been there several times and always the same thing. Sorry but we have no lanes open they are reserved for the leagues. Groupon I thought would at least offer credit...but nothing. I chatted online and they disconnected our conversation. Beware!
I ORDERED 4 FAMILY PACK TICKETS TO ALLENTOWN FAIRGROUNDS JULY 1 AND RECEIVED 4 FAMILY PACK TICKETS TO NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY SEPT 9. NO PHONE NUMBER TO CALL JUST AN EMAIL. THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL ASKING FOR SPECIFICS SO I TOLD THEM AND NO RESPONSE. I AM OUT $128 AND NO TICKETS AND NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE. I WILL NEVER USE THIS AGAIN. THOUGHT I WAS GETTING A DEAL. I NEW IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
So I order a service off Groupon. Called the number to set an appointment and it was disconnected. I then googled the address an it was permanently closed. So I asked for a refund and Groupon refused and took my 75 dollars. Do you them this is my 3rd issue this month with them.
I returned an item still have not got my money back and it's been over a month you are a horrible company and a thief you also lied to my credit card company in June and said you never got it when the tracking number said you got it may 8th I'm calling the better business bureau and maybe even a lawyer for fraud
I purchased a massage for a friend of mine. The masseuse wouldn't respond to scheduling requests despite weeks of effort. So, I tried to change the Groupon to something else. Changing it to Groupon Bucks was easy enough except that the new Groupon became stuck in "processing". Forever.
Then began the endless around-and-around circle with Customer Service as they are either unable or unwilling to change the status of an order. A simple request of "I bought this with your own currency, release it please" was apparently impossible for any of the rank-and-file CSRs and any sort of attempt to escalate just got me a new CSR.
This merry-go-round is currently at 3 months with no end or resolution or escalation in sight.
Don't use Groupon for anything unless you're absolutely sure you can use it because exchanges and returns are basically impossible and/or useless.
Either their CSR system is hopeless overworked or outdated (or both) because CSRs seem only able to give the same "I'm sorry this is so frustrating" platitudes without working on any actual resolution. The one glimmer of resolution was basically a thinly veiled attempt to make me purchase the Groupon again when it was actually an exchange/return. I'm inclined to gives the CSRs themselves the benifit of a doubt because they can only work with what they have. But the Customer Service options available are clearly unable to resolve common issues like exchanges and/or system issues.
This company will sell you coupons that don't work and then give you the option of getting another coupon or what they're calling Groupon bucks. It happened to me and there's no way of calling these people. If you like throwing money away. You're better of gambling that spending a dime with Groupon
Purchased a Groupon for a service, $1,782 and when I showed up to office the merchant said they hate Groupon and charged me an extra $716 to complete procedure. I sent many emails to Groupon, first off, they do not comprehend the English language completely. It took many, maybe 8 emails before I begged that someone who understands English to step in. The answer was oh well, you redeemed the Groupon so get the money from the merchant. I asked about the price guarantee and I received the same blanket answer a few more times. All of the answers were the same. Go to the merchant and try to settle the issue. Obviously the merchant simply said Groupon pricing is not correct. Be careful when you use Groupon, call the merchant if its a service to make sure they honor the Groupon price. I did receive the service, but sad I paid more than I originally thought I was going too. Groupon is of NO HELP!
Received email offerings along with adult sex toys with graphic images in email. I contacted Groupon. They offered a link to let me Unsubscribe. Not acceptable. I would attach a photo, but due to the adult content, will not.
Purchased two pair of mens chino shorts. I have never seen a more cheaply made product! The material is flimsy. The pockets are so shallow that if you put change in there and sat down, the change would fall out. The back pockets are so shallow that when you put your wallet in, you can't button it….your wallet will fall out. And, try calling them for a return….good luck! I'm done with Groupon!
My Uncle purchased a gift for me from Groupon. When I went to redeem the redemption code was not working. I tried for months thinking I was doing something wrong. When I contacted them they gave me the run around. I went on Twitter to try to get their help and someone finally started to help. Then when my Uncle contacted them for the new redemption code(because they told me due to security purposes he had to reach out since he bought) all of a sudden no help. He was given the run around again and no help. We are so disappointed, Will NEVER use them again. Please beware.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
