Groovebook is a SCAM! Their app doesn't work, their support team never responds and they ignore their customers email requests to cancel. I have been waiting for weeks for assistance and they are ignoring me. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They steal from customers.
Awful experience never AGAIN Shark Tank this was a huge disappointment Need to delete this so called company!
Do not subscribe! I was excited about this. I ordered, waited and waited. FINALLY received my book, and it was others peoples photos! I was so disappointed. I never received my photos and it took forever to get a refund. The company was responsive and polite but I think they are not prepared for the influx of business. Their Shark needs to help them more... or bail out!
They charged my credit card twice a month for a few months. I tried contacting them about it in writting and what not and they never refunded me. I cancelled the subscription and to my surprise my credit card got charged again. Now I have to go through the trouble of disputing the charges with my bank and possibly having to cancell my credit card.
What a disappointment! Cannot trust them! For that is not worth using their services. Thiefs
First set never arrived, Finally recieved and they are poor quality. Not sure they're worth $3 / month. I will cancel and wait for a better competitor to emerge
I can't seem to get my photos to upload. I've been a customer for about 7 or 8 months now. All of a sudden I can't get the app to work on my phone.
I loved the idea of Groovebook. Lots of potential here. Looking for a competitor that doesn't print washed out photos and has a more user friendly app. Any ideas?
I've had same problems as most complaints here. I was sent my order after months of, where is it?! Photos bad. One photo looked like it was bent before production! Lol
Yep! They waste no time taking your money. And, was told, they didn't have company set up to send to apts or condo numbers! Hahaha Omg! Perhaps we can start something on change.org requesting the company respect customers.
I have been using Groovebook for over an year now and I love it! I have always been very bad at getting my pictures printed or developed. And now all I have to do is take a few minutes every month and select my pictures. The time is very fast when receiving them and if you want to speed up the process you can. This is seriously so easy and so affordable! In my picture you will see some that are repeat colors. That is because I ordered more than one book that month. Just write the month and year on the outside of the booklet to remember when you took your pictures.
My first book didnt arrive. Contacted Customer Care and they sent a reprint. I ordered another set of photos and both sets of photos was very low quality. Its like printing on paper from a cheap home printer. Im going to cancel
So, a friend of mine suggested Groovebook because she gets monthly photos for cheap. That's what I want. A book of baby photos that I can keep on a bookshelf and refer back to. I added my first 100 photos in May and added my card information. When my book closed out, I received an email that my card information was declined but if I hurried and fixed it I could still get my book. I changed it immediately and emailed them to ensure I'd still get my book. The answer was no. So I filled up my book again for June. My book closed out and again my card was declined. *two different cards*. So I emailed yet again and asked them what was up with this because my cards are fine and I haven't received a book. They asked me yet again to change my card information and address this time. So I did and filled up my July book. When my book closed out MY CARD WAS DECLINED AGAIN.
At this point I sent a very nasty email and got a prepaid card, put $30 on it and tried again for August. My August book I closed out early for an extra fee. MY. CARD. WAS. DECLINED. AGAIN. So I deleted the app and made sure they knew and everyone else I knew that I and no one else that I know will use their company.
I've had no trouble with picture quality or billing. It's nice to rescue my photos from the cloud for such a low price and no work to organize them. Each photo is stamped with its date time and location taken. 4/5 stars because the app can be tricky and slow to upload.
My first groove book was great-arrived in about 3 weeks after closing it. 2nd book-45 days, still waiting. They said they'd reprint. 3rd book arrived today. Washed out and fuzzy.
I dislike the app as well. It is difficult to reach them to ask questions, and when I was considering buying a book subscription for someone, when you click on the book you're interested in it automatically buys a subscription for you. Nothing like are you sure or confirm purchase or anything. Like that. Also you then have to pass along a gift code to your recipient. They won't send an email note or anything like that so it's really kind of rough operation. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue.
After three years I threw in the towel. Keep getting charged for books that don't arrive. I'll mailing means 2 months if you are lucky. Outsourced customer service. Bot email is the best they have to offer.
It's a different product than Shutterfly. Don't compare the 2. The quality is exactly what you should expect. They just acquired it so give them some time to iron out bugs. I love mine. No issues with mine
I did not expect Olan Mills quality. I was perfectly pleased with my book. If you just want a way to see the pictures and keep a copy, Groove book is awesome!
I am on my second book yesterday. It asked me if I wanted to upload now for 6.98 and I said NO. It did it anyway and now I, charged 6.98. I want to cancel my membership now
I was so excited to hear about them when it first came out. What a great idea?! The idea may be fantastic but how they run their business is not. This company in my opinion just doesn't care about their customers. Every SINGLE time I go on the app it doesn't work. It either takes a freaking week to upload my photos, it doesn't allow me to at all, stops working midway through or after I finally get my 100 pictures picked after fighting and waiting for it to respond THEN it stops working. It is literally a pain in the $#*!! Their customer service page is completely useless as well. Not only all that but all besides the first 2 books had bad quality printing. Oh yeah! Here's this too. 2 different books I received(that I know FOR A FACT) I chose all 100 photos myself had half the book filled with random, useless photos just automatically put in. I asked them about it and they said it was impossible that their system could do that. WELL IT HAPPENED! So clearly it does have the capacity to do that. I sure as hell wouldn't be waisting even 1 of my 100 pictures on some stupid screenshot of a quiz I did once. I mean; come on! This company could be soooo much better and really worth it if they took the time to listen and care about what their customers are saying, fix all the years worth of issues on their app and care about their printing quality. Just such a waist in my opinion. Go with someone else when getting the printed memories you deserve.
My 2nd book came before the first one ordered and all the pics in both books came out horrible, and blurry or cut off! I'm so disappointed, as I need to clear my phone off for an event and deleted the pics that I had ordered! You get what you pay for I guess!'
We did not receive our January thru March Groovebooks, where are they? The post office says they do not have them. Should they have been forwarded automatically?
Answer: They are a horrible company... until the BBB or Attorney General's office gets on their case, they'll keep abusing customers. They didn't respond as Groovebook, and now with Shutterfly it's the same deal. Cancel your payments and sever your ties with them... otherwise you'll have aggravation forever. BJ
Answer: It is impossible to cancel! I had to dispute 6 months of charges to my credit card. Groovebook responded to my email cancellation 3 times and confirmed cancellation. However they continued to charge me. Thank goodness my CC expired so now every month they email me to say they are having trouble processing my payment and need a new CC. They are awful!
Answer: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME! LOVED it until Shutter fly bought it... then the picture quality went to crap... grainy... poor color. HORRIBLE! There is NO customer service person to speak to... only email... and all you get is a generic scripted answer. IF you haven't signed up. DONT! If you have CANCEL!
Answer: Parkingtoday are now working after months and months of problems so hopefully the glitches have been fixed
