In the very start of this company it was good not excellent. They say you can download 40-100 pictures but you have to download 100 in the end. All is good and then they sold and are really sticking it to the customers. I was charged 3 times in dec and twice in jan and no photo book has come yet to come my way. I even cancled my grove book and still getting charged.
Don't sign up you can't get a phone only an email and it doesn't work... when they charge your account they list a phone number that is out of order. This is not a good company and I'm surprised the shark tank backed these 2 people...

Please do not not waste your time and money. The quality of pictures that you get are worthless. This is why I just sent and email requesting to cancel my subscription.

Stay away from Groovebook! I have had multiple problems with them: 1: they never said I had to upload 100 photos so I waited... No photos. 2. They made a mistake with my address and I waited... no photos. 3. I gave them the corrected address TWICE and waited... no photos. 4. In the meantime my photos disappeared from my phone. I told them this and pleaded for help and instead received an automated response letting me know they will be reprinted and sent to THE WRONG ADDRESS! They had no trouble charging my account correctly! Bonnie

Fantastic idea!
January 10, 2015

Fantastic idea! PERFORMANCE? ZERO! Needs good management staff.
I had problems with my first book and I even thought that this was a joke that I was never going to get this GrooveBook and a month later it came. Some pictures are upside down, quality is bad. Whoever is putting the book together doesn't give a dam about the job. You need a staff that contributes, that has pride in what they are doing.
Fire the employees that are bored doing this job, increase your price to $5.00 a book and do it correct, flawless!
If you are sweeping the streets or building an empire, due it with perfection, with pride!

Very disappointed!
December 29, 2014

Very disappointed! The concept is great, price is great BUT quality is horrible. I know it's only $2.99 per book but I expect my pictures to still look good. They are dark and I have an iPhone 6 that takes great pictures. If they could improve picture quality I would sign up again. I cancelled after my first 2 books. Had trouble with my 3rd book, the app didn't work and I could only upload 83 photos. If their pictures looked like the ones on their app I would even pay more per month but for now I will not be a customer.

The idea is wonderful
December 27, 2014

The idea is wonderful. The cost is affordable, BUT, the prints are poor quality. The colours are way off. Everything that is red in the original picture, is a bad shade of orange in the print! I wanted to love this new service, but I canceled after the first book.

I ordered my first book on 11/24/14, Around 12/5/14, I emailed inquiring where my book was at. They responded the next day and told me they had a influx of new customers and had to buy additional equipment. On 12/8/14, my book was shipped. On 12/16/14, I received it. The quality of the pictures was average and I used an Iphone 6 to take pics. For $2.99, its a great value to have pictures delivered right to my house. I would recommend to anyone.

I ordered my book a month ago and still dont have it. Apparently my address was wrong and they coudlnt verify it, no one told me. I had to contact their "customer support " to even find out why i hadnt received it. My address still hasnt been verified and IT IS CORRECT! I receive mail everyday here. This is a real disappointment, i had high expectations of groove book. Im cancelling my prescription. Hopefully it arrives before Christmas, i have gifts that need photos!

Groove book Sucks!
December 11, 2014

Groove book Sucks! Had original app and worked great!
Quality of pictures overall was mediocre to poor. Delivery time
Way too long--- customer service? That's a joke because there is no
Customer service! Now Shutterfly bought Groovebook and things are
Terrible... Can't open the app. The shutterfly group should call
Themselves "gutter fly". They have totally ruined this process.
Warning: save your money and don't try to do business with them!

I do not know why others are saying poor quality. Mine was excellent and love this concept for so little money. I sent it to my son on south america as it is cheaper than a heavy photo album. They copied old photos i had and they came out very nice. I will use it again.

This is a rip-off
December 10, 2014

This is a rip-off. Pictures uploaded/ordered on November 17th have still NOT been received on December 10th. Previous pictures ordered are of extremely poor quality and cut off portions of the original images.

The home page of their web site shows that you will receive the pictures in 10-12 days. It is only if you find the "fine print" in their Frequently Asked Questions where it tells you that they create the book 3-4 business days after you order, and ship bulk mail which takes 10-12 business days for delivery. So you may not receive your book from one month by the time you are being charged automatically for the next months subscription cost.

I will never use this service again, and will tell everyone I know to stay FAR FAR away from GrooveBook!

Yes, it's a true value
December 9, 2014

Yes, it's a true value. The app is super easy to use. But quality of pictures is below "take it to the drugstore" level. Hard to argue with the price, but if the pictures were just 20% better, I would happily recommend it to everyone I know!

I laugh at some of the negative responses here! What quality do you expect for $2.99 for 100 photos including shipping? I've received three books and for the most part the pictures have been great. Maybe those folks who are dissatisfied don't have a phone that takes quality pictures. I found that my outside pictures are very good. I have used Shutterfly for 12 years so I have recently printed pictures with Groovebook and Shutterfly to compare. The color is actually brighter with Groovebook! It does take longer to receive the pictures from Groovebook but again, the shipping cost from Shutterfly is so high I don't mind the wait. And my pictures are being printed from my phone! Unlike some reviewers, I've had no heads cut off and portions cut off. I use most of my pictures for scrapping so the wait for the book isn't bothersome since I'm rarely to a point in my scrapping that I need the photos. I do have a question about the longevity of the photos. Are they archival quality?

This is a really cool service but what it lacks in supremely is CUSTOMER SERVICE. I tried to cancel my subscription in a timely manner but my email was ignored. I sent another one that was replied to but only after they can charge you for the month even if you don't use the service. I'm not mad about the 2.99, I'm mad that they just don't seem to care.

Yes, had other over 25 books

Notice that the last couple of books was really bad quality on the pictures...
My understanding is the original owners sold the small business to one of the shark host...
It's so sad that it is not the same quality any more...
